I thought of that passage in Isaiah.
Iran completes their first nuclear warhead or Russia gives them one. Iran gives this missile to Syria or fires it themselves at Israel with hundreds of conventional missiles and hopes the nuke makes it through the air defenses. The weapon is destroyed or explodes before it hits Israel or possibly does strike Israel. In either case once Isreal determines a nuclear weapon was used to target Israel they respond with their nuclear deterrent forces and take out Tehran, Damascus, and the Iranian nuclear sites and the one nuclear power station. This drags Russia into a Middle East war. Very plausible set of circumstances unfolding as we watch. The antichrist comes out of hiding to negotiate a peace treaty after nuclear weapons are used. Somewhere during this Jesus calls the Church and His believers away from a world on its way to annihilation.
