Televangelist Jesse Duplantis brags about his wealth, Says if you’re in poverty it’s a curse

Televangelist and prosperity gospel preacher Jesse Duplantis, who has an estimated net worth of around $20 million, has called poverty a “curse” and says his wealth — which includes a private jet and a 40,000-square-foot mansion in Louisiana — comes from being “blessed” by God.

“Let me give you a prime example why I don’t care what people think about me, about what I have. Now look at me. Look at me. I am a very blessed man,” Duplantis said in an online “Boardroom Chat” session with his wife, Cathy, earlier this month.

“Me and Cathy are very blessed. I’m spiritually, physically, and financially [blessed]. I’ve had more people criticize me over that jet. They still can’t get over it. Criticize me over my house. They didn’t pay for it. I paid for it. Do you understand what I say?” he asked.

In 2018, Duplantis faced widespread criticism for trying to raise money from his followers to purchase a $54 million jet.

(Has he never heard the term “Reversal Of Fortune”?
Devastating material loss can happen to anyone.
Often just one damaging lawsuit away.)

Yep. I’ve told many, one divorce, one car accident, one medical diagnosis.....and they can be right there.

If Satan is granted permission, like in the book of Job...

I’m usually dismissed with a wave of the hand.

Hedonism and wealth are celebrated in our world 🌍🌎🌏

Those “doing well” often think it can never happen to them...

Great wealth and great riches will cause many people to accept the Mark of the Beast.

Because they’ll be about to lose everything that made them feel safe and secure.

In a heartbeat.

I admit, years ago, I used to watch him. He was funny sometimes and mixed humor with his preaching. When I finally realized that he was way into the “prosperity gospel” I stopped watching.

Dude’s a huckster of the first order.

One Me-Too! accusation, not even an actual lawsuit.

> Would think the scam is, because they have their credit card number, they would pay it off, claim hallelujah... because she is a mark and will pay more in the future.. <

I understand what you’re saying. But the scam preachers aren’t paying anything off. They are simply making up stories, from beginning to end.

I can say this with confidence because their stories are so ridiculous and so improbable. “Doug planted a $250 seed. The next month he won the lottery. Jane planted a $500 seed. She now has the dream job she always hoped for. Martha planted a $2000 seed. Her son is now off drugs and staying out of trouble.”

On and on it goes.

Side note: I’ve always had trouble sleeping. So I used to get up, and watch cable TV at around 4 AM. That’s when those frauds would buy airtime. I was interested to see what nonsensical thing they would say next. But eventually it got too depressing.

I love Jesse. He grew up very pour and his mom laughed at him when he wanted a better life. Beside the point with that, Jesse and Kathy are wonderful Christians who want us healed, commissioned for Jesus and joyful. He knows God’s Word.

I watch him when he is on Flashpoint and he gives clear guidance for what ails America. I have not heard him say anything false. He does not mince his words and is clear that much of what happens is because we don’t resist Satan.

Yes, these men have riches that they will tell you is a total blessing from God. When one is in covenant with God, they might be blessed with all as Abraham was??!!!

God certainly does bless people with wealth. Abraham, Job, Joseph, David, Solomon and Hezekiah come to mind. Money isn’t evil, the love of it is. That being said, the aforementioned weren’t preachers; they were either producers of food/clothing or managers of kingdoms, many of whom had to fight on the battlefield. If they ever let their wealth go to their head, God straightened them out by reminding them that everything came from Him.

Damn. He’s only 74! But looks 90. He’s awful. During a hurricane, he was going to donate some generators, but he said the second coming interrupted it. Nice guy.

I guess then he thinks Jesus was cursed.

Born into a poor family in a *does anything good come out of Nazareth* kind of town, and as an adult He had nowhere to lay his head.

1 Timothy 6:6-19 But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Yes Abraham was wealthy. Including a few others.

But wealth is not an indicator of Faith.

I know quite a few guys with money.

I can’t think of any of them as men of faith. Their wealth keeps them from it, it seems.

There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

To be fair, I don't think that you'll find anyone who says that he likes those six things, or admires those seven things.

Regards,
