There's nothing better than watching the media glom onto the latest anti-Trump fantasy only to watch it go up in flames as did their love affair with now-convicted "Creepy Porn lawyer" Michael Avenatti. Back before Avenatti was known to be a raging criminal who tried to blackmail Nike into giving him millions of dollars, the media thought that he was the "savior of the Republic." Yes, they said that. ~snip~ Video

Louis Shenker, a 21-year-old junior at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, just wanted his MAGA hat back from the graduate student who ripped it off his head on campus. He wore the hat to a December 6, 2018 protest organized by the university’s graduate student union against Trump and local police. Video shows that when Louis, who is 5’6’’ and 140 pounds, arrived wearing the MAGA hat and holding a large sign, he was immediately surrounded by a hostile mob of older grad students cursing at him and calling him a white supremacist. A woman lunged from the mob and...

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) was asked, point-blank, what she thought of a report in The Washington Post that accuses former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg of "making crass remarks, objectifying women and creating a sexist culture in the workplace." Although Bloomberg has denied the allegations, Klobuchar said he needs to stop hiding behind massive ad buys and sit down on a TV show and answer questions.

Daniel Lee Martin, country singer and host of “Brotherhood Outdoors,” was found dead in his Pasco County, Florida, home Friday of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 54. Pasco deputies discovered his body when they arrived at Martin’s home to serve him with multiple warrants for his arrest that included three counts of sexual exploitation on a minor, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of committing an aggravated sexual battery and one count of solicitation of a minor to commit rape of a child. Martin was scheduled for a court hearing Friday morning but when he failed...

President Trump took the stage and gave an opening speech on DAYTONA 500: TRUMP: “The Daytona 500 is a legendary display of roaring engines, soaring spirits of the Americans, scaled speed and power, that we’ve been hearing about for many years, the tens of thousands of patriots here today have come for the fast cars and the world-class motorsports. NASCAR fans never forget that no matter who wins the race, what matters most is god, family, and country.” A few moments later he gave the command for drivers at Daytona 500 to start the engines as the crowd went crazy....

For Democrats frightened by either an openly socialist candidate or an untested man whom blacks dislike, the seemingly “reasonable” choices are an ex-Republican, sexist, anti-Second Amendment, micro-managing despot -- and Amy Klobuchar, the meanest Senator in Washington. It’s time to remember that Klobuchar has no fixed principles but will, instead, do whatever it takes to advance herself in the Democrat Party. On Friday, Klobuchar’s latest opportunistic move was to announce at a campaign event in Las Vegas that English should not be America’s official language, even though she voted for a Senate bill that would have made English the official...

If Hoan Ton-That is feeling the pressure, he isn't showing it. Over the last month, fears about facial recognition technology and police surveillance have intensified, all thanks to Ton-That's startup, Clearview AI. First came a front-page investigation in The New York Times, revealing Clearview has been working with law enforcement agencies to match photos of unknown faces to people's online images. Next, cease-and-desist letters rolled in from tech giants Twitter, Google and Facebook. Lawmakers made inquiries and New Jersey enacted a statewide ban on law enforcement using Clearview while it looks into the software. But during an interview at CNN's...

It was a Drudge Report headline calculated to shock: “Exclusive: Bloomberg Considers Hillary Running Mate. The underlying story, at CNBC, stated that the Drudge Report itself was claiming that a source close to Mike Bloomberg’s campaign had stated that Bloomberg was considering asking Hillary Clinton to serve as his running mate. The reason given was that internal polling said that the two of them together would be a dynamic duo. The story was met with incredulity and much hilarity (if you'll pardon the pun). The idea that Hillary Clinton would play second fiddle to anyone was hard to fathom. Moreover,...

Raddatz reiterated the "70 percent" economic approval rating, noting that respondents were not "all wealthy people." "Here we are on a show, and you're standing up for Mr. Trump's version of the economy," Steyer said. "I'm telling you about a national poll," Raddatz cut in. "I'm not standing up for anybody."

Before I tentatively dropped my ballot paper in the box, I feared that making the jump from being a Labour voter to being a Tory one was going to mess with my head far more than it actually has. I expected disorientation, a sense of not knowing my way about. But, so far at least, the reverse is true. Indeed, some of the landmarks of this new ideological architecture are so familiar, it feels like something of a homecoming. Among the most familiar and welcome of these landmarks is the presence of the Christian notion of original sin. Theorists of...

Priest: Pope’s Amazon exhortation is ‘Trojan horse’ for female ministry, married priests February 14, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Amazonia is known for its sometimes fairy tale–like landscape, which is often shrouded in deep fog. What seems romantic at first glance tempts many to start dreaming. But the panorama has a big shadow side. That side is to be found everywhere where the cloudy haze blocks the full light. Missionaries report that deadly dangers are difficult to recognize in this scenery. So the fog often brings a deceptive situation. When it dissolves the whole reality of the Amazon becomes visible. The...

Tonight is Oscar Night in Hollywood, which I find all but unwatchable these days. It is our custom to have an Academy Award-winning Best Song on this night, but, for the first time, I'm beginning to wonder if we've exhausted the possibilities. Fifty years ago, the Oscar went to "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head", but we did that just the other day. Seventy-five years ago, it was "Swingin' on a Star", but we've done that, too. Seventy and eighty years ago, the winners were, respectively, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and "Over the Rainbow", but we've done both of them....

So far, only one prominent MSM television pundit has passed the test of basic integrity that the guilty verdict against Michael Avenatti poses for his former fanboys and fangirls on CNN, MSNBC, and the alphabet networks. Jeffrey Toobin, CNN’s legal analyst, admitted to Anderson Cooper, who uttered not a peep of his own personal regret. The entire five and a half minute interview and transcript are embedded below, but go to 3 minutes and 46 seconds to see Toobin admit, “And frankly, you know, I feel kind of snookered, because I took him seriously,’ followed shortly thereafter by Cooper seeming...

A New Jersey lawmaker wants the state to pay to send students to private school if their parents are offended by what they are learning. And the plan is already being ripped as an attack on New Jersey’s requirement for an LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum. State Assemblyman Robert Auth, R-Bergen, proposed the school voucher bill this week, saying all parents should have the option to spare their children from “harmful” curriculum.
