Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has just three months left in office, is quietly banishing a statue of Founding Father Thomas Jefferson from City Hall’s council chambers — where it has resided for the past 187 years, The Post has learned. The city’s Public Design Commission — comprised of mayoral appointees — has listed “the long term loan” of the 1833 bronze cast of the Declaration of Independence author to the New-York Historical Society on its “consent” agenda for Monday. The consent designation means the historic statue’s removal is not scheduled for public debate. The 11-member design commission will vote...

The low rate of vaccination compliance by New York’s finest has lame duck Mayor Bill de Blasio threatening to withhold pay checks from the police and other city workers. Under the mayor’s mandate, all city workers must be vaccinated or be tested weekly for the disease. That order goes into effect on Monday, with an estimated 340,000 city workers under its guidelines. “If someone, again, does not follow that mandate, that’s true, eventually, they’re not going to be paid, obviously,” de Blasio said in a press conference on Thursday. The mayor has long had a contentious relationship with NY police, who...

Mayor Bill de Blasio dismissed criticism that his $98.7 billion budget — the largest in the city’s history — is nearly the same as the spending plan for the entire state of Florida. “I don’t pray at the altar of the fiscal conservatives and the budget hawks and the pro-austerity forces that have led us astray so many times and didn’t want to ever invest in working people,” de Blasio said Friday on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show.” Lehrer had asked de Blasio about criticism from “fiscal conservatives and deficit hawks,” who’ve made the comparison even though “Florida is a...

.....Additionally, Cuomo required group homes for people with intellectual disabilities to take COVID-19 patients and attempted to issue a blanket DNR guideline for all cardiac patients in New York City. He also denied nursing homes’ requests for testing kits, ignored the concerns of families, and gave immunity to nursing home executives. This resulted in the deaths of nearly 15,000 long-term-care patients. These deaths did not occur because Cuomo ignored scientists and researchers. They occurred precisely because Cuomo was adhering to predictions from his team of experts who projected the need for 140,000 hospital beds and 40,000 ICUs. Ultimately, New York’s...

He did not hesitate to name names either. He said: “Jews are being viciously attacked in NYC. Where is [de Blasio]? Where is [Cuomo]? Where is [Schumer]? Where is [Nadler]? …Terror directed against the Jewish people of New York and all over the country. But in New York, Jews are being beaten up in Brooklyn, in Manhattan. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Monday that he would be taking executive action against the “vaccine passports” being developed by the Biden regime and private corporations to deny Americans the right to commerce if they cannot provide proof of receiving a COVID vaccination shot on the spot. “You want the fox to guard the hen house? I mean, give me a break,” DeSantis said. “I think this is something that has huge privacy implications, it is not necessary to do.” DeSantis said that while it’s “important” for vulnerable populations to be able to take the vaccine, “we are not going...

Once you have the infrastructure, and public acceptance, of carrying around a card that gives you privileges, or penalties, based on your immunization status, the architecture will be routinely expanded to give you privileges or sanctions based on any other kind of status, such as your status as a Correct-Thinking Individual. The passports are expected to be free and available through smartphone apps, which could display a scannable code similar to an airline boarding pass The Biden administration and private companies are working to develop a standard way of handling credentials -- often referred to as "vaccine...
