The Senate’s communication director said that Senate President Mitch Carmichael will call members back at noon Monday, to receive the articles of impeachment approved by the House of Delegates. UPDATE (11:50 PM 8/13/18): The West Virginia House of Delegates has impeached all four of the state's Supreme Court justices. The Republican-led House on Monday night impeached Justice Beth Walker and the other justices for abusing their authority. The article says they failed to control office expenses and not maintaining policies over important matters such as working lunches, the use of state vehicles and office computers at home. West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry, who authored a book on political corruption in his home state, was indicted on 22 federal charges, ranging from fraud to witness tampering, for alleged corruption of his own. According to the indictment, Loughry fraudulently used a government-issued credit cards for personal use, took an historic Supreme Court desk back to his house for use in a “home office,” and then lied about it to cover it up. CHARLESTON — Suspended West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry was arrested by the FBI Wednesday morning and will face 22 federal charges after a grand jury meeting in Charleston indicted him Monday. Loughry will face charges including mail fraud, wire fraud, witness tampering and lying to federal agents. The indictments had been sealed and weren't acted upon until Wednesday, when federal agents showed up at his house at about 7:30 a.m. U.S. Attorney Mike Stuart announced the charges during a press conference at the Robert C. Byrd Federal Courthouse in Charleston.
