The Hudson's Bay Company has removed a plaque from the company's flagship store in downtown Montreal that commemorates Jefferson Davis, who was president of the Confederate States during the American Civil War.(snip) The aftermath of the Charlottesville clashes has prompted many to look closer at Confederate monuments in their own neighbourhoods.
