MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey says she will allow for the reopening of the state’s economy through a phased-in approach starting at 5 p.m. Thursday. The easing of restrictions comes under a new “Safer at Home” order that runs through May 15, replacing the governor’s stay-at-home order that will be allowed to expire on April 30. Ivey says the state is encouraging people to stay home and follow good sanitation practices in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that some businesses may reopen with conditions attached. The news of the economic easing comes despite there being...

COLUMBUS - Many Ohioans will return to work next month, but work will look different with mandatory facial coverings or masks and lots of space between employees. Gov. Mike DeWine announced a three-phase plan to reopen some businesses that have been closed because of concerns about spreading the novel coronavirus. That plan includes restarting delayed medical procedures, a return to office work, reopening manufacturing plants and eventually allowing retail shops to reopen. Some businesses, such as daycares, hair salons, gyms and dine-in restaurants, won’t reopen just yet. DeWine is trying to balance two, often competing, forces: The desire to keep...

HARRISBURG, Pa. (KDKA) – Gov. Tom Wolf announced restrictions on businesses related to some outdoor activities, including golfing, will be lifted on May 1. The Wolf administration is allowing golf courses, marinas, guided fishing trips and privately owned campgrounds to reopen statewide May 1. They’ll be required to follow guidelines for “prioritizing public health and safety.”

The reopening of child care centers includes three phases—phase one would restrict care to just children of essential workers; phase two would expand to all children with enhanced social distancing measures; and phase three would open the programs for all children with social distancing measures, while promoting “healthy hygiene habits, and intensify cleaning, disinfection and ventilation.” The CDC recommends that during phase one and two, classes should include the same group of children each day and the same child care providers, and recommend screening of children as they arrive. For restaurants, the CDC recommends that customers wait in their cars...

Reacts to Ocasio-Cortez calling on Americans to not return to work Franklin Graham, the CEO of Samaritan's Purse, the Christian ministry that provided an emergency hospital in New York City to treat coronavirus patients, is urging Americans to pray for the president as he deals with "stupid thinking" in Congress. He referred to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., telling workers to just say "no" to returning to work. The freshman congresswoman said: "Only in America, when the president tweets about liberation, does he mean go back to work. When we have this discussion about going back or reopening, I think a...

NEW YORK—A total of nine states on the U.S. East and West coasts said on April 13 they had begun planning for the slow reopening of their economies and lifting of strict stay-at-home orders amid signs the worst had passed in the CCP virus pandemic. The Northeast states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut will work with Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island in coordinating to gradually reopen their economies together, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. “Nobody has been here before, nobody has all the answers,” Cuomo said during an open conference call with his five counterparts. “Addressing public...

It seemed clear several weeks ago this was going to happen. East coast blue state governors and West coast blue state governors are uniting to begin the economic civil war planning to block any White House effort to re-open the U.S. economy. The three step plan seems predictable: (1) Get out ahead of President Trump. (2) Defy the ‘all clear’ and shape economic benefit to their political allies. (3) Then use Fauci’s upcoming dossier to hit the administration for heartlessly opening the economy too early. ♦ On the East Coast the governors of New York (Cuomo), New Jersey (Murphy), Connecticut...

On Thursday, the Heritage Foundation's National Coronavirus Recovery Commission met for the first time. At the meeting, seventeen experts hammered out a general five-phase plan to "save lives and livelihoods" by defeating the coronavirus and jumpstarting the economy. Vice President Mike Pence acknowledged the commission's work. In order to slow the spread of the virus, President Donald Trump has urged Americans to stay home, practice social distancing, and avoid going into the office if their work is not "essential." State and local leaders have issued various orders, and businesses have moved to remote work or laying off employees. Unemployment has...

Puerto Rico Secretary of Health, Lorenzo González Feliciano, announced that, after a review of the positive tests for coronavirus (Covid-19), the correct number of positives is 915 cases. "We will be able to see the data reflected in the coming days," said the secretary at a press conference this afternoon. The Health Department dashboard is not yet updated with the data offered today, so it continues to show 1,298 positives. Of the 915 cases, 736 are molecular tests and 189 are serological tests, the official said today. Last week Health admitted that there was duplication in some positive results, if...

EXCLUSIVE: After spending weeks diving into coronavirus issues over video conferencing, a bipartisan group of 50 House members has crafted a plan for what's needed to reopen the economy safely and help businesses recover from crippling mandatory shutdowns. Fox News got an exclusive first look at the Problem Solvers Caucus plan that outlines specific public health, economic recovery and long-term stimulus plans the group wants Congress and President Trump to embrace as the nation tries to emerge from weekslong quarantines and growing mass layoffs. "The bottom line is people I think are eager for a checklist. They want to understand...

We’re going to come out of this nightmare whether the Democratic politicians like it or not. The pandemic is subsiding, so America is done with this lockdown nonsense, and the inevitable re-opening is coming. It will start out slow, then get faster, then get very, very fast, and then get finished. That’s how these things happen. But it won’t happen without #resistance. The lib establishment and its media gerbils clearly think it’s in their interest to have the Bat Gobbler flu crisis continue indefinitely. They think it hurts Trump, plus they really love wielding power over you. Just look into...

President Donald Trump announced that three more states will begin a phased reopening process on May 1 after meeting the requirements for decreasing cases of COVID-19. The governors of Ohio, North Dakota and Idaho all intend to begin the process. Reopening will occur in three phases for each state according to the severity of their outbreaks. Minnesota began relaxing distancing guidelines on Friday, but states with the most critical outbreaks like New York, New Jersey and Louisiana may take much longer to reach phase one.

The good people of Michigan took to the streets en masse on Wednesday to protest their Democrat governor’s tyrannical rules and restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. They flooded the streets of the State Capitol in Lansing, Michigan, demanding that the state be opened back up before it slipped into even more economic despair. The turnout was huge. The message was clear. And today, even after Governor Whitmer tried to double and triple down on her Hitler-like rules over the past few days, she has caved and said that she will work to reopen Michigan’s economy on May 1st. That’s a...

TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey residents hoping to emulate anti-‘stay at home‘ protests in other states including Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Utah, Wyoming and Virginia were thrown a curveball on Thursday when Facebook shut down their event page. The “Open New Jersey” rally – planned for Tuesday, April 28th at the Trenton War Memorial – was informed by Facebook that its event page violated the social media platform’s community standards. Specifically, Facebook warned that it was “coordinating harm and promoting crime.”

Jay Inslee, Washington state’s Democratic governor, sharply criticized President Trump on Friday for appearing to endorse those protesting coronavirus stay-at-home orders, accusing him of “fomenting domestic rebellion.” Inslee issued a statement asserting that Trump both encouraged “illegal and dangerous acts” and put millions in danger of contracting the novel coronavirus by issuing tweets earlier Friday that seemed to back the protests. "The president is fomenting domestic rebellion and spreading lies even while his own administration says the virus is real and is deadly, and that we have a long way to go before restrictions can be lifted,” Inslee said. Inslee,...

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — A group of Marylanders plan to protest in Annapolis Saturday to reopen the state after Gov. Larry Hogan put the state under “stay at home” order on March 30 due to the coronavirus. The group, known as Reopen Maryland, plans to protest downtown around noon. They want the governor to reopen Maryland by May 1. “We are the strongest country on the planet and have put a man on the moon, there is no compelling reason why we can’t protect the sick and vulnerable and get our economy back to work,” a Facebook event says. The...

The new unemployment numbers are out and there's really no way to butter this biscuit, folks. Unless America's economic engine is restarted, we will be plunged into a Great Depression. Since the global pandemic hit our shores, more than 22 million Americans have filed for unemployment benefits. And the only way to stop this economic death spiral is for every freedom-loving citizen to embrace their constitutional rights, take to the streets and demand that their state leaders reopen this nation. As I wrote in "Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation," the time has come for...
