Batman is usually on the crime-fighting side of things, but officers in South Carolina were hunting for a church burglary suspect dressed as The Dark Knight. A church in Spartanburg County watched surveillance video to find that someone broke in last Friday and stole hundreds of dollars in computers, audio equipment, and other electronics. The burglar came in wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but there was a wardrobe change after he entered a youth pastor’s office. Rev. Asheton Amerson from Church at the Mill said it was a big surprise. “The really big surprise comes when we see him walk...

Why hasn’t Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged pimp of deceased Clinton donor/pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, showed up for an interview with the FBI yet? Just kidding! We all know the ugly answer to that question. The Clintons have spent the past four years denying their years-long close personal friendship with Epstein and Maxwell, to limited success. A new and very blatant connection to the duo has just come to light, which makes us wonder why no one has uncovered it previously. It’s almost as if the media doesn’t want to look too closely at the Clintons’ relationship with Epstein and Maxwell! Hillary...

Paramount is set to go to the future with 2084, a sci-fi film from The Batman writer Mattson Tomlin. The project is being described as a “spiritual sister” to George Orwell’s classic 1984, which really just sounds like they’re adapting 1984 but changing the year so it’s no longer dated. The script is also described as having a tone similar to both The Matrix and Inception. THR has the scoop on 2084, which was just snapped up by Paramount. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce. And just what is this movie about? Don’t ask, because no one is saying. Instead, the...

Months after it was first reported that Colin Farrell will be playing The Penguin in Warner Bros.' The Batman, director Matt Reeves has confirmed the news. The director took to Twitter on Monday to confirm that Farrell is indeed playing the Penguin, sharing a GIF of Farrell from the 2008 movie In Bruges with the caption, 'Wait - Is that you, #Oz?' along with a bat emoji. Climate crisis activist Greta Thunberg recently appeared in DC Comics and Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child. Thunberg appears at the very end of the book as Carrie Kelley as Batwoman has assembled a group of protestors to take on Darkseid. Thunberg is one of the protestors. Darkseid describes the protestors: “Look at them…fists clenched in righteous rage…Eyes glistening with hope and determination…” He adds, “…Yes. They will serve me well…once they are turned.” Not only does the book feature Greta Thunberg, but it also takes issue with President Donald Trump and his supporters. The book shows crazed...

From his iconic portrayal of a lovestruck vampire in the “Twilight” series to his latest role as a disturbed lighthouse keeper in director Robert Eggers’ frightening drama “The Lighthouse,” it’s clear that Robert Pattinson is drawn to playing dark and brooding characters. While that might make his casting as Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ upcoming adventure “The Batman” seem like a no-brainer, Pattinson admitted to Jennifer Lopez during an appearance on Variety’s Actors on Actors series that his interest in the role raised some eyebrows at first. “With Batman, it’s a strange one with me,” Pattinson said. “Even my agent...

This Thursday was Halloween, a time where little kids and adults dress up in spooky costumes — or as their favorite superheroes — and head out to celebrate a time of childhood innocence and fun and get wasted on candy. It seems Halloween fever also struck Congress, as Democrat Rep. Katie Porter showed up to cast her vote in a House Financial Services Committee meeting rocking a Batman costume. Strangely, she was allowed to cast her vote this way, despite the fact she looked utterly ridiculous and the complete and total lack of professionalism. However, the worst part was the...

Where does evil come from? Joker offers the most banal answer imaginable — budget cuts for social workers — but it’s a devastatingly effective portrait of a serial killer in formation, bringing to mind a long, sickening line of American psychos.More than any comic-book movie to date, Joker, directed with a fierce commitment by Todd Phillips, eschews entertainment and dares to repel a sizable proportion of the potential audience. With an awful foreboding, it drills into the psychic pain of Arthur Fleck — failed clown, failed standup comic, failed human. Joaquin Phoenix gives one of the creepiest performances ever...

The film is "Joker," and while it comes in the form of a comic-book movie, it is the opposite of light. The movie focuses on the pre-Joker Arthur Fleck, circa early 1980s Gotham - a sad-sack clown slowly unraveling u At the Venice premiere, a moviegoer approached Phillips and said he thought Paris would burn as a result of the movie. Stephanie Zacharek wrote that Phoenix's character "could easily be adopted as the patron saint of incels," referring to the "involuntary celibates" group of frustrated males whose beliefs have come up in several mass killings. "In America, there's a mass...
