A nationwide manhunt is underway for three illegal aliens who are accused of kidnapping and raping two underage, teenage sisters in Bowling Green, Ohio. According to WISTV10, four illegal aliens are alleged to have kidnapped and raped a 13-year-old girl and her 14-year-old sister at a Days Inn near Wooster Street in Bowling Green. The teen sisters allegedly escaped the four illegal aliens after being held against their will and sexually assaulted, and were quickly taken to the hospital by their mother and stepfather. Already in custody is 24-year-old illegal alien Simon Juan Thomas from Guatemala. Thomas was arrested and...

I’ve noticed the Bible is being invoked by many unlikely sources in connection with the raging controversy at America’s southern border. The secular press is quoting Scripture. The Democratic Party is quoting Scripture. Radical left-wing activists are quoting Scripture. It’s always good when people consider the moral implications of public policy. So, the Bible is a good place to start exploring the right and wrong of immigration laws. But seizing on one or two out-of-context verses in the Bible does not make for the kind of comprehensive moral case you would expect of those urging various remedies, from “comprehensive immigration...

President Trump’s job approval rating improved by five points during the establishment media’s manufactured outrage over Trump continuing the Obama administration’s policy of separating illegal alien adults from children at the border. According to the Real Clear Politics poll of polls, on June 8, Trump’s approval rating rounded out to an average of 42 percent, while his disapproval rating averaged 54 percent — a 12 point gap. As of Monday July 2, after two weeks of being pounded by the entire media over border enforcement, Trump’s approval rating has climbed to 44 percent, and his disapproval rating has dropped to...

Amber Heard faced massive backlash on Twitter when she tried to warn neighbors of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement checkpoint near her home. “Just heard there’s an ICE checkpoint in hollywood, a few blocks from where I live. Everyone better give their housekeepers, nannies and landscapers a ride home tonight…,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. Twitter users were swift to call her out. We hear this on a daily, if not hourly basis. Evangelicals have hurt their witness by voting for Trump. Evangelicals have lost their credibility by supporting Trump. Evangelicals can no longer be taken seriously because they're in bed with Trump. And on and on it goes. It doesn't matter who he appoints to the Supreme Court. It doesn't matter if he improves the economy. Or strengthens the military. Or helps stabilize the Middle East. Not at all. Trump is a heartless, misogynistic, immoral, narcissistic, xenophobic monster, and whoever voted for him (or continues to support him) is not worthy of...
  • Comparing Border Children To U.S. Foster Kids Proves The Outrage Is Disgustingly Selective

A civilized and decent society protects the vulnerable, and nothing is more vulnerable than a young child. All hurting children deserve our compassion and, if necessary, righteous anger. All children. Why, then, do we anguish over migrant children separated from their parents at the border, but ignore the plight of American children in foster care? Unless you have a heart of stone, you’ve ached for the 2,053 children who were forcibly separated from their parents at the border since May. The national outcry and outrage was so intense that President Trump issued an executive order that families be detained together...
  • Why Building a Border Wall Is a Morally Good and Biblically Justifiable Action

Is building a wall on our border a morally good action? As a professor who has taught biblical ethics for 41 years, I think it is – in fact, the Bible itself repeatedly views protective walls with favor. WALLS GIVE PEACE AND SECURITY In the world of the Old Testament, people built walls around cities to protect themselves from thieves, murderers, and other criminals, and from foreign invaders who would seek to destroy the city. People could still enter the city, but they had to do so by the gate, so that city officials would have some control over who...

The latest Harvard/Harris Poll, though, reveals that swing voters are overwhelmingly opposed to the Democrats’ plan to end all immigration enforcement across the U.S. Nearly 3-in-4 swing voters, about 73 percent, of swing voters said they do not want ICE to be disbanded. Less than 30 percent of swing voters said they support the abolishment of ICE. Likewise, Americans in general oppose the Democrats’ plan to abolish ICE. Nearly 70 percent of Americans polled in the Harvard/Harris Poll said they do not support ending ICE and thus all immigration enforcement. Abolishing ICE, as Breitbart News reported, would have allowed more...

The level of verbal discourse in this country has reached a new low with the issue of illegal immigrants entering the country’s consciousness because some have been separated from their children. This issue is worthy of a discussion to have as a country. That being said, the level of debate has reached a demeaning and harmful low as some are invoking language and taking actions that are not only improper, but downright uncivil and un-American. This column does not debate the issues, but rather confronts the behavior of certain individuals. We can all agree that families showing up at our...

I have a question for FReepers which might merit some discussion. I've been reading about the amount that people pay coyotes to be smuggled into the US. For Central Americans and other OTM (Other than Mexicans), estimates I've seen vary from $6,000 to $12,000 per person. That amount gets a person smuggled through Mexico (really, the Mexican part is a bribe for passage, possibly un-molested) and across the border into the US. An example article discussing this can be easily found. One example is this one from the NY Times: What it Costs to be Smuggled Across the U. S....

WASHINGTON — They wore white. They shook their fists in the air. They carried signs reading: “No more children in cages,” and “What’s next? Concentration Camps?” In major cities and tiny towns, thousands of marchers gathered across America, moved by accounts of children separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, in the latest act of mass resistance against President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. “I’m hoping that decent human beings come together, and enough is enough, we’re taking out country back over, that evil is not going to prevail,” said Patricia Carlan, a grandmother of nine from Danville, Indiana, among...

After spending weeks dragging Trump through the mud and accusing him of locking Latino babies in cages, his support hit a new high... due to Hispanic support. In other news, the media literally knows nothing. Pollsters and reporters are jumping out of Manhattan office buildings as the world no longer makes sense to them. President Trump’s approval rating has ticked up to 47 percent in the new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released exclusively to The Hill, a 2 point hike from last month. Trump's approval rating was lifted in part by a 10 point climb among Hispanic voters. His approval rating...

After President Trump signed an executive order last Wednesday, effectively ending “family separations” occurring at the US-Mexico border where illegal immigrants are detained after crossing into the United States, Democrats and the liberal media started beating their chest. “We won! We made him cave, this is the most embarrassing moment for Trump and his presidency,” leftists exclaimed. The mainstream media alleged the president’s base supporters were tragically saddened and disappointed the Commander-in-Chief didn’t have the guts to stick to his policy and is even less committed to securing the border than Obama was. Rather than declaring victory after President Trump...

Heck the RNC needs bricks as well i think, i think i'll do both. im sorry if i didn't do this correctly it's like only my second post.

The new poll is so shocking because it reveals that Democrats are losing ground with independent voters — and quickly — on the key issue of immigration that Democrats once owned. The bad news doesn’t end there for Democrats. Not only do independents and Republicans side with Trump on the matter, but 54 percent of all likely voters also agree with a key Trump statement that, “The United States will not be a migrant camp. And it will not be a refugee-holding facility – it won’t be.”

Daniel Horowitz discusses §1182(f) and the case law surrounding it here. His main points are: 1. The criteria for exclusion [are] not based on “national security concerns” or “terrorism.” It’s anything that, in the determination of the president, would be “detrimental to the interests of the United States.” That includes public welfare, health concerns, values, attitudes, etc. Thus, in this case, where the surge has already created the worst drug and gang crisis in the history of the country, the president would be justified in invoking this power. 2. Just like the president has the authority to completely shut off...

McALLEN, Tex. — The nation’s top border security official said on Monday that his agency has temporarily stopped handing over migrant adults who cross the Mexican border with children to prosecutors, undercutting claims by other administration officials that “zero tolerance” for illegal immigration is still in place. Kevin K. McAleenan, the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, said he had told border agents not to refer families to the Justice Department for prosecution until the two agencies can agree on a policy that would allow parents to be prosecuted without separating them from their children. Because Immigration and Customs Enforcement...
