Comparing Border Children To U.S. Foster Kids Proves The Outrage Is Disgustingly Selective
The Federalist ^ | July 2, 2018 | Donna Carol Voss

A civilized and decent society protects the vulnerable, and nothing is more vulnerable than a young child. All hurting children deserve our compassion and, if necessary, righteous anger. All children. Why, then, do we anguish over migrant children separated from their parents at the border, but ignore the plight of American children in foster care?

Unless you have a heart of stone, you’ve ached for the 2,053 children who were forcibly separated from their parents at the border since May. The national outcry and outrage was so intense that President Trump issued an executive order that families be detained together going forward. District Court Judge Dana Sabraw issued an injunction that all the children be reunited with their parents within 30 days, or within 15 days if they are under the age of five. The Department of Homeland Security reports that 522 of the minors have been returned to their parents so far. The compassion and righteous anger moved mountains.

In 2016, there were 437,465 children in foster care in the U.S., 155,632 of whom were under the age of five. Each and every one was forcibly separated from a parent or parents, but there were no television cameras there to capture the tears. That doesn’t mean they weren’t there. I know because my husband and I adopted three children from foster care fourteen years ago.

They’ve only talked about it once, but the day they were “tooken” away from their birth parents was the worst day of their lives. They were seven, five, and 8 months at the time. The older two were playing outside when the police cruiser pulled into their apartment complex, and they thought, cool, like young children would. Then two police officers and a social worker came to their door and changed their lives forever. It’s a scene that plays itself out over and over and over every day throughout this country.

Okay, so I have a heart of stone.

I have no obligation to foreigners who violate the laws and sovereignty of my nation.

“All fostered children matter.”

Apparently not to the Left.

As far as those kids who were brought to our country illegally, I have far more sympathy for the long suffering US taxpayer who is shelling out $775.00 per day per kid.

Nothing more vulnerable than a helpless and innocent child in the womb depending on his/her mother for nourishment and security.

A civilized and decent society defends its borders, protects its citizens, and conserves their resources.
The children of invading barbarians don’t even make the top 100.

I don’t think this is actually about the children, I think it is about selling an agenda. We have kids living under bridges being preyed upon by traffickers. Since they spotlight the failures of the elites these children are ignored.

How about comparing the treatment of the border kids to the treatment of planned parent kids?

A lot of those kids are foster care runaways.

It’s not about the children. It’s about breaking the system.

The kids are subjected to criminals who let them go for days without food, water, they are often held for ransom payments. We keep hearing about tractor trailers full of people, including kids, abandoned in locked trailers to die without water. This constitutes abuse and is a far different situation from responsible parenting. Also, according to NPR, unwed moms are the norm.

Too bad that doesn’t apply to the 50 million plus infants slaughtered in their mother’s womb.

Another group that is being ignored are American’s homeless kids.

One in 30 per NBC in 2014———loooong before Trump.

THIS fact should be carried at all of the protests asking for pity for the “new arrivals”

“Unless you have a heart of stone, you’ve ached for the 2,053 children who were forcibly separated from their parents at the border since May.”

America averages 3,562 abortions (killing, murder, disposal) of babies PER DAY! A simple internet search backs this even by the left. These spawn (children) of illegal colonists have no Constitutional rights and the humane procedure is repatriation to their HOME/Native country.

Interesting but depressing post. It should be noted that if you had an attractive nuisance on your property that was endangering children you would get your butt sued off.

In the United States, maybe, if you had an unfenced pool.

In that situation there is no third party, such as criminals cooking up a scheme to market to people with the hope of parting them with their money by selling them something that is not theirs to sell. Like the proverbial quit claim deed on the Brooklyn Bridge. Or lawyers funded by corporations dead set on driving down wages and upending the international order purely for their own convenience with no thought whatsoever to the human fallout.
