Minneapolis’ left-leaning City Council members on Sunday announced a veto-proof push to disband the Minneapolis police department, ramping up a major conflict inside the city following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. Many activists have been pushing at least for their cities to defund local police departments, a move many other analysts considered unrealistic. The measure has been the main focus for many people protesting against police brutality. The city council members spoke at a protest at Powderhorn Park, a neighborhood in Minneapolis. The number of supporters in attendance represented a veto-proof majority to push the measure...

WASHINGTON — Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. told a group of black supporters on Thursday night that most Americans were good people who think the nation can be improved, while also declaring that “there are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people.” Mr. Biden offered his estimate during remarks in which he spoke about the importance of a president setting a positive example for the nation on racial issues. He accused President Trump of dividing the country while pledging that, as president, he would not.

“Antifa is a violent left-wing Communist faction that uses a black bloc tactic where they dress in black from head to toe and cover their faces with black masks. The tactic is meant to make it more difficult for police to identify those who break the law during a riot. Portland has one of the largest and most active populations of Antifa members in the United States.”

Jeremiah Ellison, who is a member of the Minneapolis City Council, noted in the tweet that he believes "white power" terrorists are actually the ones engaging in the looting, arson and other riot activities as violent sects hijack some of the protests against racial inequality and police brutality in the wake of the death of...

NBC is prohibiting reporters from using the word “riot” in its coverage of violent outbursts in Minnesota that have occurred in response to the killing of George Floyd. “While the situation on the ground in Minneapolis is fluid, and there has been violence, it is most accurate at this time to describe what is happening there as ‘protests’–not riots,” NBC host Craig Melvin wrote on Twitter Thursday.

I had a discussion today with a friend in the medical field. He claims some of his associates suspect COVID-19 can be spread by an infected person passing gas. He said if you're wearing a face mask and you can smell the offending odor, there is a good possibility you could become infected by these microscopic invisible gas particles. He said they're trying to develop a mask for your ass, such as some type of special adult diaper that's been treated to absorb gas and can be worn over or under existing clothing.

On Monday night, Minneapolis police officers murdered a man named George Floyd. And, yes, they murdered him. Some may object to the characterization given the blunt, hard candor of the term, but there’s no other way that any fair-minded person can view the video of a police officer consistently and persistently burying his knee into the neck of a man who eventually died due to the restriction of oxygen resulting from the placement of that knee onto his neck. The Minnesota Vikings have issued a statement regarding the murder of George Floyd.
