The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly done this week what everyone expected them to do: Fire Wade Phillips. Bill Jones of CBS-11 in Dallas reports the Cowboys head coach was fired on Monday after his team suffered a humiliating 45-7 loss to the Packers on Sunday Night Football. To all of my FRiends that have been praying for my father during his battle with cancer ... thank you. Please continue to pray for him as he begins hospice care this week. He's fought a good fight, but it was too much ... and too late. What started as renal cell carcinoma has now spread throughout his body. It's in his bones, lungs, brain, etc. His liver is shot. Bronchile tubes are infested with cancer cells. It's only a matter of time now. Pray also for my mom, that she will have the strength to endure this final phase...

Last month, my dad was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). The tumor was about the size of a golf ball. Last week, he found out that it was the papillary type (10-15% of kidney cancer) and that it had spread a bit into his lungs and a rib. They called them "flakes" so I guess it's not as bad as it could be. But still ... this is not what we were hoping for. Apparently, this type is harder to treat than the more common type (clear cell). He has begun chemo treatments to clear the lungs and...

Not sure if this qualifies as a vanity post, but here it is. I've been debating with some left wingers regarding Iraq. One has offered a link to a documentary on Bush and the Iraq war that was produced by Frontline (PBS) and has asked me to view it. I agreed on one condition. Knowing PBS/Frontlines normal leftist views, I said I'd view it if he'd be so kind as to view a similar production that wasn't tilted left. Now .... where do I find such a piece?
