    >> First time this Pope has said anything i agree with. <<

He actually says a lot that you agree with it, but the liberal media doesn't report it because it goes against their agenda. For example, he said that transgender ideology is complete and utter nonsense, scheduling an appointment with an abortion doctor is "like hiring a hitman", and that is "zero chance" that women can be ordained as pastors.

    >> If Sheinbaum is indeed a “protégé” of López Obrador she has to be bad news. <<

I'd be much more alarmed if she were a “protégé” of "conservative" Vicente Fox. The so-called "conservative" PAN presidents of Mexico were HORRIBLE, and a much bigger pain in the butt than the so-called "far left" President of Mexico EVER was. Vicente Fox is STILL a complete blowhard jerk on social media, and did way more damage as President of Mexico than the scaryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy AMLO ever did.

All these decent “alternatives to the Boy Scouts” like Camp Fire, Navigators USA, Boys Brigade, Cadet Corps, Federation of North-American Explorers, Pathfinders, Royal Rangers, Trail Life USA, Troops of Saint George, etc., etc., should get together and combine their troop units and resources. Strength in numbers. It would be much easier for people to find a troop near them if they combine their organizations.

There was also a rival group to the BSA in the early 20th century called the “American Boy Scouts”. It dissolved in the 1920s, so I assume there’s nothing stopping these organizations from claiming that as their new name, and advertising themselves as the REAL Boy Scouts.

Yes, how DARE Pope Paul VI approve the method that Jesus HIMSELF used at the Last Supper for Holy Communion! How disrespectful!

We wouldn't have those kind of abuses if Jesus would have just been more relevant and placed a communion wafer on the apostles tongues, while they kneeled over a communion rail. He probably should have used the Latin language, too. Instead, he did the WHOLE service the vernacular language!! Had to be one of those 'novus ordo' Catholics. Tsk, tsk!

    >> So does this mean there’re dropping their trademarks and all claims to ‘Boy Scouts’, and a new organization could claim the name and turn it back into what it should be? <<

Even more directly, I think the only hope of getting the real Boy Scouts back at this point is the "original" organization that is becoming "Scouting America" next year will eventually collapse, file for bankrupcy, and be liquidated (which isn't that far fetched given how rapidly their membership has dwindled in recent years). At that point, someone could outright "purchase" the defunct organization, and re-charter it from the ground up, restoring it back to what it USED to be before they went off the deep end.

It's pretty clear to me that Rand Paul and his FReeper fan (RandFan) are being intentionally dishonest when they say their motivation for complaining about Trump endorsing Rogers is they are just trying to prevent him from being tarnished by backing bad candidates, and that think Trump should "stay out of the GOP primary and let conservatives decide for themselves"

The REAL motivation is they obviously want that loose canon lunatic traitor Justin Amash back in power, and the ONLY way he can slip in is if enough GOP voters are uninformed about what a wackjob he is. When Trump and other high profile candidates talk about the candidates, primary voters will realize Amash is to LEFT of Rogers, which would kill his chances of making it thru a GOP primary. So they Trump and others to STFU so Amash can sell his "I'm the TRUE constitutional conservative candidate, Rogers is RINO scum" talking point to gullible GOP primary voters, and not have any high profile Republicans inform voters otherwise.

No matter how much they yell otherwise, they are obviously NOT "concerned" about Rogers being disloyal to Trump, otherwise they wouldn't touch Amash (who is 10X worse than Rogers and was openly considered for "service" as a "House Manager" of the Trump impeachment trial in the Senate to prosecute Trump for his "crimes") with a 10ft. pole. Crying about Rogers backstabbing Trump -- while ignoring Amash's treason -- is laughable.

Even putting aside Amash's insane level of Trump-hate, if you just look at his voting record on legislation, he is in no way the "more conservative" candidate in the primary, and routinely was the "lone Republican" in Congress to vote with "the Squad" on various bills. Amash is only a "true conservative" if your idea of "conservative" is voting for open borders, celebrating the "LGBTQ community", allow unrestricted abortion on demand, condemning Israel and refusing to lift a finger against Hamas, etc., etc.

Rogers has his flaws, but his voting record is actually pretty conservative, and he is not nearly as bad a "RINO" as the Paulbots pretend he is. Even if he was the actual RINO they pretend he is, he'd STILL be better than Amash, if no other reason we won't have a pro-Palestinian Hamas sympathizer and fanatical Trump-hater on "our side" in the U.S. Senate. That kinda stuff makes real RINO scumbag like Susan Collins look decent in comparison.

Complaining about Trump's bad endorsements IS a legitimate topic, and NO ONE has been more outspoken about Trump's crappy endorsements in the past than me (I was against it LONG before it was cool, I was vehemently against Rex Tillerson from SOS when a bunch of FReepers wanted to rubber stamp his appointment, for example). I'm not against Trump's "bad endorsements" here, because Trump has to deal with the cards he was dealt. Endorsing Rogers over Amash is not "bad", anymore than Winston Churchill teaming up with Stalin to take out Hitler was.

    >> Hatred toward Jews because they are Jews is as bad as Jews hating Christians because they are Christian. Spare me the selective outrage <<

Excellent point. It's like the double standard when they constantly whine about how "church leaders in Italy did not "speak out" against the Holocaust and condemn Hitler at the time he was in power. They want to "investigate" why that is, to see if we "covered up" anything.

Going by that standard, I have to wonder why leading Jewish Rabbis in the Roman Empire did not "speak out" against Christians being throw to the lions and loudly demand Nero and the rest of the Roman Emperors stop doing it.

What's that, you say? Doing so wouldn't have stopped any Christians from being executed, but it WOULD have caused the Roman Empire to promptly retaliate against the Jewish synagogues, close them down, expel their rabbis, and persecute THEM for questioning the regime?

Gosh, I still wonder why church leaders did not "speak out" against Hitler! It's a mystery!

Mike Johnson is significantly more conservative than Amash.

Amash used to fool FReepers for years by using a "gosh, I'm just votin' the way the Constitution tells me to" line to excuse all his treasonous actions.

Somehow, the founding fathers put stuff in "the Constitution" that somehow FORCED poor Justin to be the LONE Republican to vote with the Squad on various bills, but everyone was too dense except Justin himself to "understand" the Constitution and realize why he "had to" vote that way.

Amash going off the deep end during the Trump impeachment took the blinders off and FReepers started to realize this guy was an pro-open borders, pro-alphabet community mafia, Hamas-loving lunatic.

    >> Why do you prefer a Palestinian that voted to impeach Trump? Because he is a libertarian on drugs and LGBQT rights? <<

    >> Amash voted to impeach Trump. That alone should disqualify him from any consideration even for a job cleaning portable toilets with a toothbrush. If Amash was the GOP nominee for an office in my state or district, I’d write in Harvey Weinstein’s name before I ever vote for that @sshole. <<

Bingo. Rogers has his flaws and is FAR from perfect, but any GOP voter can compare Rogers to Amash on topics like the standing up to the LGBTQ mafia, protecting the unborn, opposing the Islamofacists crying about how "oppressed" they are because they "only" control 99.7% of the middle east, and not voting for frivolous, baseless impeachments because you utterly loathe someone named "Donald", and realize that Amash is well to the LEFT of Rogers.

Any "conservative" who has looked at BOTH their records honestly and still thinks Trump's endorse is "Horrible" is not saying much about Trump's own track but their twisted idea of what "conservative" means. It reminds me when some cartoonist wanted to point out how "bad" Stephen Hawking's beliefs about Israel were, and his editorial showing all the "good" things about Israel gloated about the fact they had one of the largest pro-sodomy "pride" parades in the world. That said more about what the cartoonist thinks is "good" in his twisted mind, than it did about how "bad" Stephen Hawking's views were.

Furthermore, Rand Paul and his FReeper fan of the same name CONSTANTLY crying about Mike Rogers having an "anti-Trump" record, while trying to ignore/cover up their OWN candidate Justin Amash's anti-Trump being 10X WORSE is incredibly laughable and hypocritical. Ironically, Rand poked fun at the Liz Cheney cheerleaders screaming about "carpetbagging" politicians being "out of touch" while simultaneously cheering on Liz Cheney carpetbagging into Wyoming when she hadn't lived the since she was 12. I guess Rand now wants to take a page from their own glass house tactics. Et tu, Rand?

    >> His endorsements suck once again. He's terrible at them. <<

I agree with your premise that most of his endorsements "suck" (plenty of his cabinet appointments in his first term were awful, and let's not forget about all the failed "electable" choices he championed during the midterms, like "Dr. Oz" for U.S. Senate). Worse, the AlwaysTrumpers on here will never admit Trump's choices sucked and they shouldn't have blindly cheered on anything and everything he did.

That being said, your current examples are grasping at straws.

    >> He's supporting Mike Rogers the Bush-era Neocon in MI <<

And you Rogers bashers conveniently ignore that the fact that Rogers opponent in the primary, Justin Amash, is to Rogers LEFT and routinely voted with "the squad" while in Congress. It's pretty hypocritical for Rand Paul to whine about Rogers having a track record of being "anti-Trump" and ignore the fact that Amash was FAR WORSE when it came to being "anti-Trump", don't you think? What do you expect Trump to do, endorse the pro-Palestinian lunatic who voted with the Democrats to impeach him? On what planet does that make sense? Trump has to deal with the cards he's dealt, and given the FACT that Amash is a Hamas loving traitor, that makes Rogers the lesser of two evils in the primary, so Trump picked the "least bad" option. Shockingly, Bill Clinton didn't endorse any of the members of his own party who voted to impeach him, either. Gosh, Clinton's endorsements must have "sucked", he should have opted for the Democrat who tried to remove him from office, right?

    >> He's supportive of Mike Johnson the RINO/Democrat Speaker and was said to have intervened last week to get that foreign aid package passed! <<

And what alternative to Mike Rogers is running for Speaker right now and has the votes to get elected tomorrow if you get Johnson's head on a platter like you want? Be sure to let me know who that person is, and I'll have Trump promptly endorse that person for Speaker. Again, Trump has to deal with the cards he was dealt. You apparently learned nothing from the last disastrous Speakership election, where Matt Gaetz ousted McCarthy without having a clue who would replace him. The GOP has a razor thin majority in the House right now. The RATS will rightfully ridicule the GOP and mock the fact we "can't govern" if we have a THIRD period with endless ballots being cast for "Speaker" and no leadership in place in the House, which would blow up in our faces. Everyone knows that, except you guys attempting a kamikaze move in the House of Representatives, apparently.

Apparently it must also be radically different if you have mental health problems at a Catholic or Orthodox Christian church, since the article states that they only bothered to survey Black and Latino pastors from different PROTESTANT denominations.

Moral of the story... if you experience mental health problems and seek out a pastor for help, make SURE you're either a white protestant OR a black/Hispanic Catholic OR a black/Hispanic Orthodox Christian, I guess. OTHERWISE, your pastor will be "ill equipped" to deal with that.

Must be FINE if you experience mental health problems at say... a white Presbyterian church in Maine, an Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Washington D.C., or an overwhelmingly Hispanic Catholic parish in the Texas panhandle...

Regardless of how its popularly defined, the word technically means spreading the Gospel and good news about Jesus Christ. Thus, all Christians are would technically be "Evangelicals", not just fundamentalist protestants.

    >> Still, only about one in four gave the “Bible answer” of “definitely not,” and close to half are planning on or leaning toward it. <<

Sounds like they believe in the "Biblical" definition of marriage the same way they believe in the "Biblical" definition of Holy Communion. Maybe 1 in 4 of them use bread and wine like Jesus did, and actually believe they're receiving Jesus. The rest of the so-called "Biblical" evangelicals use grape juice and Ritz crackers and think its "merely a symbol".

It's not surprising to me only about 25% of "Biblical" Christians actually follow what the Bible itself says. The rest seem to think "Biblical" means having smog machines, light shows, jumbotrons, and rockin' out to Hillsong music on stage.

    >> Going left? Saying lets the states decide isn’t going left <<

Sure, let's substitute abortion for any other moral issue and see how well that works:

Let's say the 2nd amendment is repealed tomorrow, and we send it back to the states.
Reacting to that, Trump REFUSES to support ANY kind of NATIONAL legislation guaranteeing the right to keep and bear arms, he just agrees on letting the STATES decide for themselves IF people should be ALLOWED to own a gun! If SOME states think its OK to allow citizens to own SOME guns under SOME limited circumstances, well, that's just fine. If OTHER states choose to TOTALLY disarm their citizens and not allow ANY type of firearm ownership within their state boundaries, that's just fine too. If the people in that state don't like having ALL their guns taken away, simply just MOVE to another state. The federal government shouldn't get involved in that, whatsoever!

A policy position like that would certainly NOT be "going left".

Thanks again for clarifying what TRUE conservativism is, Senator Stephen A. Douglas!
