You are looking at minimum up-front costs of $2,500. Which may not seem like much, but when you add in the already high taxes and ever shrinking margins...this is a 5% tax on a little guy clearing 50k a year.

  • Weekly Poll Showing People Believe Obama Will NOT Succeed at Getting ObamaCare Passed

Unfortunately I believe that it is closer to 75-80% likely that we WILL end up with some form of Obamacare.

I don’t think they really expected the first version to pass. I think it’s just an ‘opening position.’ Setting the parameters. I expect the ‘real’ bill to come out once they have all of our objections figured out.

My greatest hope of it failing is that they asked for too much on the first go around. And that this will create a huge backlash against the real bill.

Anyone notice the color choice...RED as an ‘A.’ Green as a ‘C.’ Couldn’t be an attempt to make the graphic look nicer could it?

Unless ofc they are indicating that anyone giving him an ‘A’ is...well..RED

I ‘get’ the point but.. I DON’T want someone making such a gesture (sign of the cross) if it is not their belief. That to me would be sacrilegious.

  • Parents demand right to decide child vaccinations

No one is saying that you shouldn’t have the option to get the vaccinations for your children. They are simply stating that you should have the choice.

As a parent of a child with Autism, I can tell you that on a gut level it is impossible not to see a correlation when your child goes from typical developmental growth to atypical development seemingly overnight. Sure it could be coincidental, but to many many parents it sure seems causal.

The other thing that typically is ignored is that it is not just one vaccine that they ask them to take, but a number of them, all within a fairly short period of time. Each individual vaccine may have been tested, but just like a peanut better cup, the sum is different than its parts.

Another way to look at it is that some people simply have lower thresholds of tolerance. And it may take one thing to push them past it, or two, or three...you get the idea. From everything I’ve read, it is likely a combination of factors, and not just one or two things. However, if you start eliminating factors, you increase the likelihood of avoiding the problem altogether.

If your family has a tendency towards lung cancer, you are likelier to think twice about smoking than a family that smokes like a chimney and lives into their 90s. In a family that has serious risk factors, it is not unreasonable to not want to take the chance.

    Yup.

When I woke up this morning the first thing that popped in my head was: “Welcome to Michigan comrades.” The second: “Welcome to the USSA.”

Now the rest of you get to join the party that has been Michigan. Where reality becomes surreal.

If we could eliminate about 50 square miles of Michigan and cede it to Canada-I’ll let you figure out which area I mean-Michigan would eliminate about 90% of it’s problems.

Appearance is an important factor to many (shallow) voters. In real estate it is called ‘curb appeal.’ Without it you miss out on many potential clients. Same thing applies here.

And how much has been spent on the custom suits and shoes for the other candidates? For goodness sake Plugs spent how much on his extreme make over?

Just a DUmb story in an attempt to distract from Zero’s lack of substance and instead focus on the superficial.

Sound strategy...make the enemy think a specific region is ‘safe.’ Then after they have established themselves in that central area, you take it out. It’s a great way to deal with the problem of your enemy being spread out.

Absolutely correct. Just like most of the country maps you see, it’s the urban areas that are screwing it up for the rest of us. Where I live the the people at the polls actually know your name and who you are without needing to see your ID (Of course they follow the rules and check them still.)

If they have the ‘right’ to a civil trial, doesn’t that mean that we as citizens of the US have the right to sue them under the same system...In particular I want to go after the oil families for the ‘pain and suffering’ they have caused myself and my fellow Americans :)

As a parent of a child on the ASD spectrum, these type of stories naturally strike a chord with me. Fortunately we have a great school system in place.

We have 2-3 IEP’s per school year along with ‘problem solving’ meetings as needed. We are getting ready to transfer our daughter from one program to another (and one building to another as well) within the school system, and the plan is to have one of these meetings every couple of weeks to help her with the transition.

If they were having these meetings odds are this problem likely never would have happened.

Parents must be their child’s advocate. You can refuse to sign the IEP if you feel it is not correct. The parents and teachers also need to be realistic in the placement and goals that are set for the child. You want to push them to be the most they can be, but you also need to balance that with what they can handle as well.

If this had been an ongoing problem, the teacher should have requested a re-evaluation of the IEP.

I hold the teacher completely at fault based upon what this article says. But I also fault the school as well if they did not have a system in place to address when a placement seems to not be working out.

As far as home schooling goes...it is extremely difficult to provide all of the special services a child on the ASD spectrum needs as an individual/family. Also, it is very important for those children to have the example of neuro-typical children. Many things just don’t come naturally and they need lots of examples to understand social conventions among peers.

I have no sympathy for the people that elected him. It’s those that voted against him that have every right to be indignant...it was not a surprise to anyone I know when this story broke.

The funny thing is, if he would have simply been open about his behavior, odds are he would have gotten away with it. Sadly, he just would have been looked at as ‘the man.’ The cover-ups and payoffs are what really got him in trouble. Unfortunately infidelity has become almost expected from our politicians.

Many builders do not offer financing. And those that do are required to follow the same rules as any other lender. In the case where there is outside financing, the buyer brings their own financing. In these cases, the builder may not have any credit information at all, nor any financial interest in the transaction other than the value of the contract.

As far as a ‘waranty’ is concerned, that is a seperate issue. However, if a home is built according to the local building standards, there shouldn’t be any ‘structual’ issues. If they arise then the builder (or architect) is open to litigation.

Generally speaking adding another law benefits the lawyers more than the general public. A full time legislature is a recipe for trouble.
