PAWHUSKA, Okla. -- School officials in Pawhuska say a high school teacher who's accused of making racist comments in class won't be fired. Superintendent Jack Miles said speech, drama and communications teacher Carla McKenzie is being "dealt with in an appropriate manner." Miles would not say if McKenzie is being disciplined. Three students wrote letters that were delivered to the school board that said McKenzie used racist terms for Indian, black and Hispanic students.
