I'd like to ask all praying FReepers to pray for my friend Jerry Ragovoy, who has suffered a massive stroke and is in a New York hospital. He's in a coma and it's a huge bleed in his brain. Jerry wrote "Piece Of My Heart," "Cry Baby," "Time Is On My Side" and hundreds of other tunes recorded by major rock and rhythm and blues acts in the 1960s and 70s. He is funny and gifted and in desperate need.

Her name is Diane. 9 weeks ago she had a flat tire on a very busy highway in North Atlanta and pulled off onto the right emergency shoulder lane. While she was still in her car calling for help, a pickup truck rammed her from behind at about 60 MPH. I would like to ask for prayer for a girlfriend who is in trouble. She is an alcoholic and is facing trial for two DUIs and a felony hit-and-run charge (no injuries). I know her actions are irresponsible and reprehensible. I know that this kind of behavior makes her a public menace. I also know that she's an addict who hasn't quit drinking. I'm aware that she deserves to face the consequences of her behavior. I am also a believer in the power of the Cross to change lives. I would like to ask all praying Freepers to please pray...
