I hope I have posted in the right category. I am just curious about Mignon Clyburn FCC Commissioner (D) Does anyone know if she is related to (D) James Clyburn U.S. Rep South Carolina 6th Dist. I just watched a few minutes of C-Span's series titled The Communicators and she is not a very good one watching for just a few minutes It was very easy to see she is completely unqualified for any position which has oversight over technology. Thoughts and info please?

My eyes are tearing up as I long for the good old days when George W Bush was in The White House. For a brief moment leadership, Christian values, and character returned to The White House today. Along with a true first lady. Unfortunately it was only for the official unveiling of George W and the true first lady Laura's portrait.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A former administrator with the American Printing House for the Blind is no longer employed there. This news comes after a WHAS11 News investigation. Last month, we first told you that Darrell Buford had been indicted on 10 felony counts involving the sexual abuse of a teenage boy. On Monday, our continuing investigation revealed that Buford had been convicted of molesting four other boys in the past, including his two adopted sons. Buford previously served as the alumni president of the Kentucky School for the Blind for five years, and was appointed by the governor to...

ELIZABETHTOWN – An Elizabethtown man says his truck was vandalized in a politically motivated act that he believes borders on being a hate crime. Police charged the man connected with destroying the paint of Cherry Wood Drive resident Kenneth Bunting’s pickup with criminal mischief – a felony, but not a criminal allegation of hate or prejudice. Reacting to a surveillance video image of the vandalism, Elizabethtown police arrested retired Army Lt. Col. Thomas James North on Wednesday afternoon on a Class D felony charge of criminal mischief, first-degree, for allegedly marring paint on Bunting’s truck. According to a warrant for...

FRANKFORT — The co-founder of a consortium that hopes to manufacture cutting-edge electric car batteries in Glendale sounded upbeat Friday about the project’s chances of landing federal economic stimulus money — and he downplayed potential political hurdles. James J. Greenberger, who recently visited Kentucky to meet with officials and to attend the Kentucky Derby with Gov. Steve Beshear, said the National Alliance for Advanced Transportation Batteries has received high-level attention. In fact, the Chicago attorney said that when the office of President Barack Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, called to ask him how much money would be needed to...

Has anyone from Free Republic ever gotten through to C-Span. They are supposedly taking live calls via different phone numbers for McCain supporters, Obama supporters, and Independents. I have called repeatedly during both debates and when I get a ring through to the McCain line there is about a five second pause and then I get a hang up. When I dial the line for supporters of Obama I not only feel temporarily stupid I always get a busy signal. I think the call ins are fixed. Go Sarah. It's Drill Baby Drill Joe

Did anyone watch Vice Presidential debate on c-span. I recorded Fox News but watched on c-span. Did anyone notice the nervousness of John Edwards. He stuttered, he blinked, he drank from his coffee mug at least 100 times. And he licked everything but his own rear end. Each time he drank from the big man size coffee mug he held most of the time with those two little lady paws of his he followed up by licking half of his face.I thought at first that he didn't have a quarter with which to pay a rat to chew that hideous mole...

Mary Mapes has just been outed as a law breaker by Fox News.It seems that she was caught red handed by a Colorado federal penitentiary warden trying to put prisoners in touch with each other through a scheme involving the prison mail system. In violation of federal regulations. One of the prisoners was referred to as Peter Langan a white supremacist. Who is Peter Langan ? Is he possibly one of the people who killed James Byrd ? What is Mary Mapes trying to cover up possibly additional facts discovered during CBS investigation of the dragging death of Byrd.Facts which may...

Does anyone out there know where to obtain Stats on Purple Hearts ? How many were given out during Vietnam? How many who served won three or more? My belief is that the majority of triple Purple Heart Vets didn't come back home alive. And another very good question did any other soldiers win three in less than four months.

Kerry Edwards tour staff buses just spotted in Elizabethtown, Ky. Cracker Barrel parking lot. This strong environmentalist candidate should prove his words by taking his smoke belching heavy polluting buses off the road or pull required maintenance on them. Both of their buses were seen idling in the parking lot churning out massive quantities of choking blue smoke. Weak on convictions again Mr.Kerry. I say Mr. Kerry because I know he will never be called Mr. President.
