Operation American Spring is supposed to be happening May 16 2014 in Washington DC.Ill be honest that I dont know much about it and havent seen alot about it on Freerepublic. Im posting this to see what fellow freepers might know about it and if they are planning to go.I live in southeastern Ohio and due to health reasons cant go alone.If this is something freepers are supporting maybe we can join together to go. So Im asking freepers for thier opinions and ideas.

When I was young,Maybe 6-8 years old.There were some songs on the radio put together as a story.One that I remember was an announcer interviewing the astronauts on thier way to the moon.The astronauts responses consisted of short segmants of popular songs.One eyed flying purple eater etc,,,.This was in the early to late 60s.Ive never heard them since and searching the internet has eluded me so far. Does anyone else remember these songs?I think several were made.Would love to add these to my music collection.

I have seen a disturbing trend lately on FreeRepublic.Posters attack the messenger and other posters rather than addressing the message itself.They turn to name calling and before you know it the original thread is lost and has turned into a shouting match.A famous quote says Dont raise your voice when you should rienforce your argument.This to my mind is hurting the free expression of ideas on FreeRepublic.If you cant make an informed response or question to the initial idea expressed, why lower yourself to making personal attacks?Ive seen this over and over on thread after thread.I pray that Compassionate Conservatism ...

I am very angry about something that is happening at Grocery stores in my county.Athens County Ohio USA.Kroger and BigBear,the 2 largest retailers in my area have a new program to supposebly save people money.They give you a wildcard in exchange for divulging your personal information this wildcard is then supposed to guarantee you lower prices when you use your card.They then institute a two tier pricing system throughout the store,one price showing the price if you use your card the other showing the higher price you pay if you dont use your card.The part that makes me even more ...

This is my first new post,I noticed today that April 19 is a rather interesting day.April 19 was the day the first shots were fired to start the Revolutionary War at Lexington and Concord.April 19 was the day that the Branch Davidians were killed at Waco,and of course April 19 was the day Timothy Mcviegh destroyed the Murrah Building.Close to that day April 22 was the day Elian Gonzalas was taken in a predawn raid. Just curious if other Freepers have any other strange events for April 19?
