I’d bet it was a Predator/Apache tag team. The drone finds and fixes them, and the Apache comes along and gives them a 30mm gift or five. Or, a pair of 70mm rockets. Either way gets the job done.

I had a hell of a time yesterday. It was mighty nice not being outnumbered a hundred to one by screaming leftists. In addition, I met some real interesting folks among the Patriot Guard, which made things more interesting. It was good to meet like-minded fellows, and in Berkeley to boot. Felt like the 4th of July.

There was one amusing incident. A leftist (with stereotypical bumper stickers) was about to park when one of the Patriot Guard swooped in and took the spot first. She got out of her car and began to complain to one of the Berkeley PD who was nearby. The cop’s response: “Lady, we have more important things to do than to bother about your parking spot.” She stomped off in a sulk.

In addition, one leftist who was foolish enough to have a sign that said “USA = War Criminals” was run off rather quickly. A Marine veteran and then a lady with a “Don’t tread on me” flag both gave the leftie hell.

Can’t wait till next time this sort of thing happens.

Hell's teeth, if someone could delete that last post, that would be great. The formatting suicided.

Here's the after action report (or at least what I can report). I showed up around 1645. After wandering about for a while and not finding any friendly forces, I set up shop across the street (them being in the park) while keeping an eye out. As usual, it took me a long while to set up. Things go by quietly for a while, until I notice a small knot of American flags in the middle of things. As the presence of one American flag in the crowd, let alone three, is something highly unexpected, I moved in to investigate.

There, I find who I was expecting. It was the SFSU College Republicans, SF Voice for Israel, and, unexpectedly, the Berkeley College Republicans. I also ran into FR's own rogue yam. I estimate our numbers to have been around twenty. Why they were in the midst of the crowd, I have no idea. Things start to heat up. For some reason, I was the one who got interviewed by KTVU 2 News (not like that will get any airtime). I admit, I blew it. Nervousness got the better of me, and the summation of why I was there (numerous reasons I had all washed aside) was "because I love my country".

A little after she finished with me, that's when the fecal matter hit the fan. First, it was a bunch of Communists who started about "class war". Our counter-chant of "USA" and my own "Down with Physics" did not amuse them and produced many derisive snorts. Bah. Then came getting mobbed. They were all around us, screaming. This went on for a little while, until we got escorted out of the howling mob by the police for our own safety. On the way out, that crazy codepink lady (the one on the left in the picture in an above post) recognized me and gave me yet another condescending comment. I guess she's still mad about how I shot down her argument last year.

Things quieted down once we were across the street. More insults were slung, but at a distance. This kept on until the lefties prepared to begin their march. We moved to a convenient corner, the better to keep heckling them from.

I think I got into a group picture of some random people dressed in black cloaks wearing masks. I'm sure my red hoodie (with hood up) and flag/sign added some color to them. Sometime around this time, one of the peaceful and tolerant lefties hit two of our guys in the face with his sign. Leigh of the SFSU crew chased after him and snapped the lefties sign in half, thus causing the leftie to run away in terror.

We maintained our position until they had all marched on, though not without having caused them much vexation. After that, we called it a night.

Notable events: The foe were burning and/or ripping flags apart. One of the SFSU guys liberated a torn flag from them.

There was a fellow who kept screaming how "we weren't Christians." As I'm not, I pointed that out to him. He says, "of course not", and continues. Next, he starts screaming "Free Tibet". Sure, like the United States is really the one at fault there. Our joining him in his Free Tibet chant confused him.

A green-haired lass with the chiche anarchy symbol t-shirt called us ignorant and derided our low numbers. I bellowed out "sound off like you got a pair". Childish, but amusing.

Two of the Berkeley lads confused the hell out of me for a while. Their signs said "9-11 was an Outside job" and "End the Commie Occupation of San Francisco". As we're all used to seeing that sort of leftie junk, I was mighty confused until I re-read the signs.

Some guy kept mumbling at us "murderers". First, I called him a pederast. Then, I accused him of unlawful carnal relations performed with a goat. That shut him up good.

One of the "Veterans" for Peace fellows came up to us, and said that the best thing we could do was enlist. As I've tried four times (and failed them all, due to poor vision), that riled me up. I move in and said, "Give me five grand for LASIK and I'll go tomorrow." He shut up after that.

In between those, "Che is Dead, get over it!", and "1,2,3,4, Victory in the Iraq War", I think it's safe to say we gave them a hell of a time. As soon as I find some pictures, I'll be sure to put them up.

It’s listed on the SF Voice for Israel Site that they will be there today. In addition, I facebooked the SFSU chair and he said that they will be there.

I made that BART comment prior to remembering how to get around incognito. D’oh. Just be careful when riding.

I’ll try to make it, if I can at lunch. Though, I personally believe that their joining us in SF would be more effective. Strength in numbers. Plus, things can get hairy, as shown already.

Also, I forgot to brief you all on SF Freep SOP. As this will be my third time facing off the lefties, I’ve picked up a thing or three along the way. Time to pass it on.

First and foremost, remember that we will be outrageously outnumbered by frothing moonbats, Communists, anarchists, and other scum. Think Mos Eisley, but without a lightsaber. Thus, caution is a must. Travel in groups. Maintain your vigilance, especially in light of the way these sort of things are getting more violent. If something does go down, we will be held at fault, and the law may not (or probably not, in Berkeley) intervene. At the last one in October, the SF Riot Cops were pointed towards us and not the lefties. Restrain your righteous urge to give them the wrath of the free.

Secondly, stealth is your friend. If possible, assemble your signs and banners at the protest site. This will allow you to reach the location unmolested. Failing that, cover up your sign for protection in preferably opaque plastic (such as a garbage bag). Remaining unmolested on BART and while walking to the location of friendly forces is a must, given the forces against us mentioned earlier.

Third, logic and leftists do not mix. Remember what the Daily Kos founder said with regards to Iraq. “The fact’s don’t matter! US out of Iraq!” You’ll have better luck reasoning with a brick wall than you will with a leftist.

Four, expect insults. Again, see Number One. Expect ad hominem attacks on your signs and arguments. Remember, do not curb stomp them, and also remember that by attacking you and not your argument, you’ve already won. Secretly, they know their arguments are pathetic, hence the personal attacks.

Finally, have fun. While I know it may seem hard to believe after all these warnings, each time I go I have a hell of a good time. Make new friends. Diss the leftists (like that horrible rapper they had last time). Go have a bite to eat once it’s all over. That sort of thing.

Hope this helps, and hope to see you tomorrow. I’ll probably be up in the City by 1700. Look for the flag and sign mounted on a ludicrously large yellow pole.

    Expendable to Syncro

Here is the itinerary of tomorrow’s events that I’ve pieced together (saving you the rise of blood pressure). Info from AnswerSF and CodePink.

    March 19:

Codepink/WCW in front of Marine Recruiting Station Berkeley 0730 - 1630. (One source says that WCW will be a block away from the MRS, while Codepink says they will be in one unified mass. Typical for lefties.) In addition, they claim to be bringing packing supplies. To me, that means that they will try to enter the MRS. Called them up and gave them a heads up earlier, so hopefully they’ll fail.

In addition, Codepink plans some other crap like a “banner drop” in Oakland and a critical mass type event. Called the Oakland PD to also give them a heads up (for what little it’s worth).

Not sure if friendly forces will be there. No reply from the Berkeley College Republicans. Unsure if they will engage (Wednesday being a duty day).

For the convenience of you in the Silicon Valley, there’s a protest in front of King Library at SJSU. 1600 - 1800. San Jose “Peace And Justice” Center led. Hopefully, my mates in SJSU College Republicans will be there.

AnswerSF at Civic Center San Francisco 1700 - 2000. The big one. Last time, our side was on the City Hall side, while the lefties will be on the park side, but this remains yet to be determined. Friendly forces include SF Voice for Israel and SFSU College Republicans. The latter is the feistiest bunch you’ll ever run into.

I would suggest that we engage in SF. Heckling them all day long would be quite amusing, but since it’s far easier to take BART than drive to the City, and since the BART will probably be filled with lefties eager to engage in CQB, I would not advise this.

I second that. I saw the demonstration of it, and it looked glorious.

On another note, there’s going to be a protest in San Francisco’s Civic Center that same day at 1700 Hours. If you’re interested in dropping in on them and disrupting their tantrum, drop me a line. Or, better yet, we can heckle them all the way from Berkeley to San Francisco. Just drop me a line if you’re interested.

On a related subject, anyone want to go face down the lefties in San Francisco? Wednesday, 1700 Hours, Civic Center. Should be a hell of a time.
