I have been reading History since I was in the Fourth Grade thus destroying any hope of an Academic Future. About 17 years ago I ran across a web page about what happened in 3200 BC and the birth of Civilization as we know it. Cool. Lately I have seen posts on the GGG thread about the Sea People and the death of the Old Kingdom. It seemed to me rather strange that the Old Kingdom croaked in the same time frame as the Sargonite Empire in the two rives area and the sea people occurred at the time of...
  • Unexpected Results From DNA Tests

I am wondering if any FReepers had unexpected results when they did a DNA test during a family History search. In my case I was looking for an oppressed history of serfdom and general nastiness from Norman Overlords during the Middle Ages, just preparing for an Obama America. To my surprise I discovered we were Normans, in the Staple, Merchants, and in general capitalists, until God and Religion brought us unto this Blessed Shore to continue in the same trades. So in this election year of the usual Freeper cage fights I thought to step outside the blood and gore...

I just finished a conversation with the local UPS driver, I was listening to Rush in my truck, I can't get it in the house. We started talking about politics as I am want to do. We talked about SB and the shape of the coming NH Primary. What he had to say reflected what I see on FR, the rats and the GOPE are in deep poop. I also told him that if he wanted to get more info on Islam read Sura 2 through 9.

I have a Grizzly 10 inch saw, which is not bad as saws go. My problem is the, swear word, tape measure locator on the cross fence support. There is no repeatability swear Word. If you change blades you must make a mental note of the difference in width between blade you replaced and the blade you are using. Now because I of an advanced age you have mind farts or lose where you wrote it down so I started to look around for an alternative. Back when I was young and CNC machining came out I was working for...

I first ran across conservative comment on Prodigy back in the early 90's. It was a an eye opening event, I marveled that people thought about politics in a similar way as I did. I started to notice an increasing participation not only vocal, but active. I asked my Uncle a retired Reporter if he was interested in writing about it. He wasn't. I think that the Internet has opened up the conversation among we on the right, old News, but how did it affect you?

I am going to get in to a pissing match over a $145 charge to maintain my 500 gallon propane tank. The NFPA requires tanks be inspected periodically and marked, how should the inspection stamp be applied and dated, should the tank have hazmat stickers. They have not inspected this tank in the twelve years I have lived here and as near as I can determine since the tank was installed,

My illness over the stunts pulled during the last election and my disgust with the NH Spineless party has kind of worn off so I need help. Carol Che-Porter is a disgusting liberal bag lapper and possibly a clam digger. She lied about her support of Veterans and most every thing else, name an issue and she will lie about it. I am a Life Member of the VFW and we tossed the VFW PAC because we were infiltrated by lefties, scum. The Department Commander almost had a stroke when they endorsed her. Now is the time to retire Che,...

I have been doing this Ancestor stuff, because I am getting old and I have verified that my dads family were exactly what the claimed to be, Limeys. My Old Ma's family were Harps from Northern Ireland and possibly Scotland, Gaelic is not a language a civilized person would speak and tracing these Names is driving me to drink. Old Ma was black Irish on The J2c2e scale of MTDNA which means her family were Polocks, this thing has me confused.

Suffering from zero weather conditions, lack of activity, and boredom, I decided to use the self cleaning feature on my gas range. Now, my mother wasted a lot of money educating me in various fields that involved burning things, and people actually paid me a lot of money to help them do it correctly. So I removed the internals of my oven and pushed the button marked CLEAN. So I sat back and grabbed a brew to help me get through the cleaning time. After the stove warmed up the smoke came billowing out, lots of smoke. So I opened...

I was watching a cooking show and the cast preparing a Engagement Feast for a Guy and this Smoking 1/2 Korean Girl. I have known quite a few Koreans but she looked like a semi-round rye, Viet Nam term. It kicked me back to late 1967, when driving through the front gate of Cu Chi base camp, I saw a hot smoking young lady sitting out side the gate, as opposed to squatting, waiting for someone. I had done a tour through the cat houses of Cu Chi so I knew she wasn't one of the local talent. I asked...

Does anybody remember the film "Slap Shot?" I ran across a Trailer on UTUBE that brought back the Hockey Mania in Boston in the 60's and 70's. In those days you could always get tickets to the Celtics but the Bruins were always sold out. My cousin was a Gallery God, we always got in along with an ample supply of beer from the packy across the street. The most interesting thing I saw were the women in the crowd calling for blood during a brawl, common in the old days, reminded me of Rome. The movie reflected alot of...
