Operation Underground Railroad, founded by Tim Ballard, is an organization existing for the sole purpose of freeing children caught in the global web of human trafficking. These guys, including Ballard himself, risk their lives to go into the deepest, darkest corners of the world to rescue children of all ages who are abducted and sold into the sex slave market. Two days ago the trailer for the upcoming movie based on Ballard’s experiences, “Sound of Freedom”, could be accessed and viewed easily on the web. Today it’s gone. Just yesterday I was leaving the food store with my 83 year old mother in my car when we encountered an old woman holding a piece of cardboard that said "homeless" (quotes were included). This old woman made eye contact with me and her scraggly gray hair, her worn clothing, and her pathetic help me expression really stirred up my sympathy. When I stopped at the stop sign near where the begging woman was standing I said to my mother, "Let's give her some something, it's Christmas". We came up with a five dollar bill and my mother waved it...

To Whom It May Concern (and especially to those who don't know enough to be concerned), I am not just disappointed, I am distressed at your May 27, 2012, issue's total lack of acknowledgement for Memorial Day and the reason that we observe it. How can you as an American "culture" magazine totally overlook the heroes for whom we observe this holiday? How can you ignore the American lives that were lost so that we could eat our ice cream and grill our hot dogs without fear of harassment, violence, imprisonment, or even death? How many countries can boast a...

Actual Title: Articulate Conservative Andy Shaw Challenges Planned Parenthood's Favorite State Senator Pat Vance in GOP PrimaryState Senator Pat Vance is one of the finest representatives of the “establishment Republicans” who are willing to sound so very conservative when facing primary elections but who tack to the left when they are safely reelected. In fact, Senator Pat Vance gets along especially well with those who values voter oriented conservatives don’t hold in the highest regard. The incumbent’s rather nice and comfortable remarks (at a GOP forum in York, PA) were in rather marked contrast with those of Andy Shaw who...

They are U.S. Reps. Jo Ann Emerson of Missouri, Frank Wolf of Virginia, George Radanovich of California, Steve Austria of Ohio, Greg Walden of Oregon, Frank D. Lucas of Oklahoma, Adrian Smith of Nebraska and Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska, and they are the latest members of Congress to sign on to a plan to repeal Obamacare. Its goal is to "pull out by the roots" the legislation that, among other things, will require citizens to provide their "Body Mass Index" rating to the government and purchase "government-approved" health insurance whether they want it or not.

Polls Show a Dead Heat in Key Pennsylvania Senate PrimaryThe race for the Democratic nomination for the Senate seat in Pennsylvania is a dead heat less than a day before the primary voting begins, according to the Quinnipiac University poll released Monday morning. With 41% of the vote, recently minted Democrat Sen. Arlen Specter trails challenger Rep. Joe Sestak with 42%. The result, within a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points, is considered a statistical dead heat. Complicating the political picture is that 16% said they were undecided, and about one in four Democrats said they...
  • What Wrong With the Drudge Report????? (vanity)

    Me Cause I'm Curious
What's up with the Drudge Report? The news is flat and the coverage is not as crisp as it used to be. Sometimes things of interest go unreported (cyber Monday, for example) but silly Hollywood stuff IS reported (for filler, perhaps). Sometimes the subject is repeated twice on the page; sometimes different articles on the same subject are filed in different sections of the page.

    Jumping in Pools Blogspot ^ | November 3, 2009 | I don't know, it doesn't say.....
David Harmer, the Republican candidate for Congress in California's special election in their 10th congressional election, does have a chance of winning this election today. While running in a district which has not elected a Republican in decades, their last Congresswoman easily claimed victory with near 70% of the vote, and it is rated D+11, does not seem possible. Then again, 2009 has not been a normal election year...

KUTZTOWN(Pennsylvania), March 31 - Kutztown University President Dr. F. Javier Cevallos announced today the institution will discontinue its varsity men's soccer and men's swimming programs, effective immediately. The decision is expected to save the university up to $150,000 long term. "The current economic situation has forced us to make some difficult decisions," Cevallos said. "Our first priority is always to protect the core academic component of the campus. I believe this decision allows us to honor that priority while maintaining our athletic integrity and competitiveness. This move is ultimately a proactive attempt to reduce costs in the current economy based...

AMMAN, Jordan — By now you can picture the Arab world in a frenzy of excitement over the elections in the United States. I certainly expected that when I landed here. After all, one of the candidates, Barack Obama, presents a sharp departure from traditional American presidents. He has a name that you can actually write in Arabic without pondering the correct spelling. One could hardly imagine anything but breathless anticipation and a strong dose of optimism at the prospect of Obama, the candidate with Muslim roots, moving into the White House. Imagine my surprise, then, when the first person...

The Secretary of State in Florida made it official - George W. Bush prevailed and gained the state's 25 electoral votes putting him over the top. However, Gore is not stopping in his hysterical quest for the presidency. Instead, he plans on holding the country hostage until all his legal remedies are exhausted. Prophets are saying that we won't see an end to the election nightmare just yet. The whole sorry mess will continue into December. Prayers for our country are very much in order. There has been a growing resentment and outrage over Gore's actions. Many groups are growing ...
