Why This Campaign Is Important This race is important primarily because no Democrat filed to run against the Republican incumbent, Tom Davis. The only candidates on the ballot are Davis, a four-term incumbent, chairman of the Republican National Congressional Campaign, and independent Frank Creel, a political newcomer. About a couple of weeks ago, a Freeper posted the link to the Time 100 Poll on Phonies and Frauds of the Century. I voted for Geraldo Rivera and to my recollection he had over 25,000 votes at the time and was top of the list of frauds, followed by J.R. "Bob" Dobbs. Now, who's the fraud?
