Posted on the 'Creel for Congress' website is a summary of Tom Davis's voting record, rather dismal, but not surprising. Here are a few examples: Abortion Ban HR 2500, 7/17/01 (Roll Call #235) DeGette (D-CO) to the Commerce, Justice, State Appropriations Bill that would have permitted the use of taxpayer funds for abortion services in federal prisons. ACU opposed this bill. Result: Bill defeated. Davis voted YES. Boy Scouts HR 2944, 9/25/01 (Vote #353 ) Norton (D-DC) amendment to the District of Columbia Appropriations Bill that would permit the use of local funds to force the Boy Scouts of America...

In a move likely to raise eyebrows among House Republicans, a political action committee (PAC) controlled by the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee has contributed $3,000 to a former Democratic House candidate in Arkansas. Fundraising reports revealed that Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia contributed $3,000 last Dec. 16 to Judy Smith, who lost to then-Rep. Jay Dickey (R) in 1998. She ran again in the 2000 primary against then-state Sen. Mike Ross (D), who went on to defeat Dickey in the general election. Smith has not filed to run again in Arkansas’ 4th District, where Dickey has mounted...
  • No "Lesser of Two Evils" Involved in THIS Race

Why This Campaign Is Important This race is important primarily because no Democrat filed to run against the Republican incumbent, Tom Davis. The only candidates on the ballot are Davis, a four-term incumbent, chairman of the Republican National Congressional Campaign, and independent Frank Creel, a political newcomer. Davis is usually described as a "moderate" Republican, a term used repeatedly by the media to describe Republicans who are not strongly against abortion. Creel, by contrast, is strongly pro-life, a staunch defender of the Second Amendment and advocate of limited government. He favors the elimination of the federal personal income tax. Nobody...
  • Frank Creel's Second Amendment Position

In his responses to the Gun Owners of America 2002 Congressional Candidate Survey, Frank indicated that he supports repeal of the 1993 Brady instant check, and repeal of the 1996 Lautenberg Domestic Misdemeanor Gun Ban (which disarms otherwise law-abiding citizens for life--for offenses as slight as spanking a child or grabbing a spouse's wrist); and that he would oppose federal legislation requiring trigger locks, lock-ups when not in use or manufacturers' installation of "smart gun" technologies. To make his position absolutely clear, Frank attached the following additional statement: "I take an abolutist position on the Second Amendment, which states that...

  • Why No One is Required to File Tax Returns

    10/29/1999 1:49:59 PM PDT · by ltlflwr · 889+ views
Some excerpts from Mr. Conklin's webpage below: In Bill's book you will learn that: 1.There is no statute that makes a person liable or responsible to pay the income tax. Individuals only become liable to pay the income tax when they voluntarily file a tax return, or when the I.R.S. follows its assessment procedures as outlined in the Internal Revenue Code. 2.If there were a statue which clearly and unequivocally required the filing of tax returns, such a statute would be unconstitutional under the present income tax system to the extent that it would require individuals to give the government ...

Mayor Giuliani Stops Check To Brooklyn Museum of Art By Henry V. King NEW YORK - The uproar continues over the Brooklyn Museum of Art's display of the Blessed Mother splattered with elephant dung. The court battle over Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's attempt to strip the museum of its $7.2 million city subsidy is now at the center of the controversy. A defiant Mayor Giuliani, who earlier branded the display "Catholic-bashing … an offensive and disgusting desecration of someone else's religion," stopped the museum's October check for $550,000, and is pressing the court to permit cancellation of the museum's lease of ...
  • BUCHANAN/HITLER LEADERSHIP SCORECARD

BUCHANAN/HITLER LEADERSHIP SCORECARD There have been many accusations that Pat Buchanan displays extremely negative or Hitlerian traits. The scorecard below has been constructed by an objective observer to compare our current President, Presidential candidates, and Adolf Hitler with regard to a wide variety of traits most freedom loving Americans would believe to be extremely negative or Hitlerian. A Y indicates the subject probably has the indicated trait or would have it if in a leadership position. An N indicates the opposite. A Hitler score is computed as the percentage of Y's for each subject. Amazingly, the highest Hitler score ...

About a couple of weeks ago, a Freeper posted the link to the Time 100 Poll on Phonies and Frauds of the Century. I voted for Geraldo Rivera and to my recollection he had over 25,000 votes at the time and was top of the list of frauds, followed by J.R. "Bob" Dobbs. Now, who's the fraud? Just goes to show that one can't trust polls because they're all rigged, either by misleading questions or blatant numbers fixing.
  • If Women Don't Want To Fight, Why Are They In The Army?

If Women Don't Want To Fight, Why Are They in the Army? By SAMUEL FRANCIS One of the major tests of the proper progressive view of women and sexual equality is whether you think women should serve in the military. If you think they shouldn't, progressive mythology holds, you probably also think they should be chained up in the kitchen and kept pregnant throughout the year. Now it turns out that even most women in the military don't conform very well to the myth of equality that progressive thinking demands. Asked in a recent survey by the General Accounting Office ...

At Home In The Culture Of Death . . . Dead Baby Parts Business Booming By PAUL LIKOUDIS Here is a sign of the times of American life in the Clinton regime: "Human embryonic and fetal tissues are available from the Central Laboratory for Human Embryology at the University of Washington. The laboratory, which is supported by the National Institutes of Health, can supply tissue from normal or abnormal embryos and fetuses of desired gestational ages between 40 days and term. Specimens are obtained within minutes of passage and tissues are aseptically identified, staged, and immediately processed according to the ...
