Soul Sailing. “If we walk in the light as He is in the light the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin and we have fellowship with each other.” (1 John 1:7) There is a free choice of who we walk to, if it is the LORD God we must come with a clean heart, by seeking forgiveness, we can be righteously angry about what the souls of those consumed with anger who did not walk towards God are doing. We are “seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Our souls can float out...

Molly Pitcher-A woman of Courage and Faith. In the Revolutionary War, there arises a story of a woman they called Molly Pitcher. She followed her artilleryman husband William Hayes into the battle of Monmouth. Men were dying of dehydration, so she got pitchers of water from a nearby spring to give to the men and to cool the guns. She walked thru gunfire, because her husband needed her. She kept this guiding force in her will: “March on, my soul be strong!” (Judges 5:21). When her husband was wounded she went to him, tenderly laid him down and cared for...
  • Fires of Forgiveness

Fire of Forgiveness I had an idea that might help some of the problems facing our country now. What if on the fourth of July, in a state park there was a bonfire called the “Fire of Forgiveness where we as a nation sought to bring closure to the wrongs our earlier American founding fathers made and to recall the tremendous blessings their vision of a nation under God has brought? If the President called for families to camp together, for each group of people who faced injustice to write on a document of their grievances. That at a ceremony...

We served our country in the Army throughout our youth and raised our children; now we rest in our retirement. From the choices we made, we have a small farm in the country. In the early hours before the sunrises, I talk with God about all the things that are in my heart,Then I am still, and I listen to all the special words of love and guidance that God wants to share with me. My bed faces the sunrise, I will watch the last star of the evening go out and put itself to bed. Then the sunrise comes...

The Almighty God who created the world with the power of His Word made the universe. He put each planet in its gravitational place, and set up the sun to give light. He wanted a place where He could put one who could respond to His love, so He created mankind. He gave him a heart; he breathed into man His breathe of life. He asked the man to do one thing: “Love me”. He made hands on each side of the man's heart. Mankind must take their hands, open them and raise them to their Father in heaven. God...

Living In the story that I write. I grew up with parents that were abusive. One example is that my stepfather beat me for buying a candy bar. They wrote a sad chapter in the story of my life. In America now we have to look back at the story of our nation; it has some sad chapters as well . I have chosen to take the charming story of the the farm family. Since I never had a home or love I took the story that Jesus gave me. When Jesus was at the worst part of His suffering,...

It was during the time of racial tensions in our country and it was also the time when the corona virus caused the schools to be closed. The schools were opened again. And on the first day of school there were two boys. One was white and other was black. The black boy had a singing voice like he had been listening to the angels in heaven and he had dreams of using his voice to help his people find hope and peace. But he was taught by the current happenings to blame and be angry and so he brought...
  • Flu rates drop like rocks, vivid rises, any epidimeological connection?

    03/31/2020 9:20:40 PM PDT · by Manly Warrior · 83 replies
So, I perused CDC site devoted to 2019-2020 flu rates, they are dropping like rocks, along with mortality rates. Meanwhile, the same population groups are suffering badly from covid19; is there any connection? I mean, are not the same folks who would suffer worst and possibly die from complications from the flu strains, suffer worst from covid19 as well? Is there an equilibrium if these two hazards after it is all over and done? 22k Americans died from flu this season so far, a bad season. When does the shift from flu to covid19 equate to a comparative total or...

Okay, we all have heard the argument that MJ is not a bad drug, it is not a gateway and is not a violence-producing mechanism, all to the tune of how the WOD is a waste of resources and effort etc. Here is a short article that discusses some of the issues and presents some interesting facts. Let's not let our opinions get in the way too much.... https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/marijuana-mental-illness-violence/

Velma, my wife of nearly 35 years (53 YOA) has been having seizure-like episodes which are getting worse. Lasting longer and longer and more motor control loss/psychological effects. Sunday she had an episode that required life-flight transport to a major med center here in MO. Loss of consciousness, facial muscle twitching, unresponsive in general. No evidence of TIA/stroke on the CT scans/MRIs over the last 6 months, but she now has a facial weakness on the left, slurred speech, extreme lethargy and seems "out of it" about 75% of the time when awake, sleeps ~20 hrs per day. Scheduled for...

While many of us use firearms frequently and have learned (sometimes the hard way) to deliberately review our weapons safety/handling procedures each and every time we handle firearms, many firearms owners and particularly handgun owners, do not live so close to their weapons. In this article, I will attempt to review the basic rules of firearms safety, using the NRA rules as a basis as well as reviewing the basic steps in gun handling. For...
