A German court has sentenced a man to a one year suspended sentence for trying to sell toilet paper with the word 'koran' on it to mosques. In an accompanying letter the 61 year old Manfred van H called the koran a 'terrorists cookbook'. The court found him guilty of insulting the islamic belief and of disturbing the public order. Van H sent the toilet paper to fifteen mosques, tv stations, and magazines. With the profits Van H wanted to erect a monument to those that have died at the hands of islamic terror. Minister Ben Bot (CDA) (Christian Democratic Appeal) has said in an interview with Radio 1 that a 'behaviour code' to stop insulting the prophet Mohammed would only raise tensions between muslims and the western world. Minister Bot said that it is completely unnecessary to have a code as wanted by the secretary general of the islamic conference, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.

The 16 year old boy who was arrested today for the murder of a 60 year old Roman Catholic priest Andrea Santaro has said that it was because of the controversial cartoons of Mohammed. The suspect was arrested in the town of Trabzon on the Black Sea coast, he was armed at the time. The priest was shot dead on Sunday in his church. He had worked for five years in the town. Whilst worldwide muslims are causing havoc and mayhem over the 12 Danish cartoons, slowly the real truth is coming out. The Danish Muslim delegation, led by Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban (a prominent muslim in Denmark), who travelled to the islamic world, have actually fabricated and altered the images to make them really offensive to muslims.

The Dutch embassy building in Beirut has been attacked by furious Muslims, they also attacked the Danish consulate. They are protesting against the controversial cartoons of the prophet Mohammed in European newspapers. The minister for foreign affairs has announced that windows were smashed in the Dutch embassy building.

A Roman Catholic priest has been shot dead outside his church in the Turkish harbour town of Trabzon. The police are looking for a teenager who according to witnesses carried out the shooting. The identity of the victim who was shot in the heart isn't yet known but according to tv station NTV he is an Italian. It isn't yet clear whether the murder has anything to do with the recent publication of cartoons of the muslim prophet Mohammed.

The Danish government has called for all its citizens to leave Syria immediately. Earlier on saturday furious muslims stormed the Danish embassy in Damascus and set it on fire. They are livid over the cartoons published of the prophet Mohammed in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten.

The authorities in Jordan have arrested the chief editor of the weekly magazine Al Shihan because he published three of the Danish Cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. One of the cartoons he printed was the one with a bomb as a turban, chief editor Jihad Momani was sacked on friday for this reason. He say he printed the cartoons "so that people can see why they are protesting", he added that people are protesting about images they haven't even seen.

Masked gunmen have kidnapped two 'foreigners' according to the Palestinian security service. The two victims, whose nationality is still unknown, were dragged from their car and taken away. It isn't known who is responsible, it is also not known if it is in relation to the recent Danish cartoon pictures of Mohammed

A group of 23 members of Al Qaida have escaped from a prison in Yemen. The men were condemned for various terrorist crimes. It isn't known how they escaped from the detention centre of the military intelligence service in the Yemen capital Sana. The identity of the men is not yet known.

The Palestinian police have freed a German man after he was kidnapped by gunmen in a hotel in Nablus on the West Bank. Two Palestinians were arrested in connection with the kidnapping. The whole affair was over within one hour. The Palestinian safety commandant Rafah al-Rewajba appeared in a press conference with the German, Christoph Kastel, a 30 year old English teacher from a school in Nablus. Kastel is uninjured. Mohammed Bouyeri, the murderer of film maker Theo van Gogh, is to be given the chance to address the court later today in the case against the Amsterdam terror network, 'the hofstadgroup'. Bouyeri has two solicitors, but is adamant that he will do the talking.

Danes in the Middle East have been warned to be extra vigilant in connection with the growing tension about the cartoons that were published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten depicting the prophet Mohammed with a bomb in his hands. The warning involves Danish citizens in Saudi-Arabië, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libanon, Pakistan, Iran, Syrië, Israël and the Palestinian areas.
