There’s a pretty good Polish restaurant in Carmel, NY. Owner is a nice guy. I ordered the stuffed cabbage, and it was good, though not as good as my late Aunt in-laws.
I’m still listed as an active, registered voter (D), in the state of LA. Haven’t lived there since 1994. Correcting that situation now. At least FL cleaned its rolls, because I lived there also and checked my name and it was clear.
I have noticed, recently, that a lot of historic buildings are suddenly succumbing to fire. Witness the fire and complete destruction of an historic hotel on Block Island this week.

I am looking for the name of a 1940's movie-it was about a cruise ship before ww2 broke out, some passengers were nazi sympathizers, and some, especially one old man, was a Jewish man who was not worried about the situation in Germany. TCM showed it a few times. I would be grateful if anyone knows the name!
There are a good amount here in West RI; especially in the adjacent but tiny Russian enclaves.
a preschooler where I work, since I study Russian language, I was tasked with helping staff interpret. But, they speak English pretty well, and are very nice productive people.
