Americans got a tax cut. The economy is booming. Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates are at historic lows. The ISIS “caliphate” is destroyed. In the United States, MS-13 gang members are now afraid for their future, while American citizens finally have a sense their future is back. All of this was enough to throw actress Alyssa Milano into the fetal position. Her horror continued, as she complained that her feet were cold. On Dec. 30, Ms. Milano, the actress and shampoo spokes-model, distress-tweeted: “Just made the mistake of reading all of @RealDonaldTrump’s tweets from the last few days. I’m now...

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Tuesday that President Trump has “raised the bar” for commercial airline safety after Trump took credit for the safest year of airline travel. Sanders was asked whether former President Obama deserved credit for there being no fatal passenger airline crashes in the U.S. since 2009. "The president has raised the bar for our nation's aviation safety and security,” Sanders told reporters during a White House press briefing, echoing comments made earlier in the day by fellow spokesman Raj Shah.

Michelle Obama and daughter Malia got some extra R&R during their Hawaiian vacation by hitting up a local yoga studio. The former First Lady Wednesday was spotted at Corepower Yoga in Kailua, Hawaii where the Obamas have been vacationing for the holidays. Michelle looks incredibly fit -- as usual -- and visibly happy. That million dollar smile says it all.Although Malia joined her mom... there was no sign of Barack or Sasha. As for the family as a whole, splitting your time between yoga classes and the beach doesn't seem all that bad. Namaste!

Chelsea Clinton gave a warm holiday greeting to an unusual group when she wished The Church of Satan a “Happy New Year” in a tweet Tuesday. Clinton found herself in a Twitter conversation with The Church of Satan, model Chrissy Teigen, the restaurant Hooters and various assorted accounts after she tweeted encouragement to Teigen. The popular model and best-selling cookbook author had tweeted her frustration Saturday over a verified Twitter account that used pictures of Teigen’s daughter in costumes to make wild accusations of pedophilia.
  • Another president hated the media even more than Trump does

My favorite quote is from legendary attorney Clarence Darrow. “History repeats itself. That’s one of the things that’s wrong with history.” Want proof? Consider the perpetual shouting match between President Trump and the news media where they scream “Fake news!” and “Collusion!” at each other. It’s unpleasant, undignified, and unseemly. It’s also unoriginal. Because their tiff is nothing compared to the rocky relationship shared by America’s longest-serving president and the reporters who covered him. Journalists of the 1930s and 40s willingly hid the extent of President Franklin Roosevelt’s physical disability. True, Americans knew he’d been paralyzed by polio. But news...
  • Justin Timberlake is rebranding as a white man

Authenticity is quite marketable now, and for white pop stars that means shifting away from the hip-hop and R&B-influenced sounds that made them famous, and toward the sounds of Southern and country rock. For Timberlake, the pivot should be sonically natural: Originally hailing from Tennessee, Timberlake has never been shy about celebrating his Southern origins.

  • Are the 9.1 days you spent watching Game of Thrones a waste of a life?

If watching Mad Men were my full-time job (and what a job that would be), I would only need to dedicate 9.1 eight-hour working days to completing the task. Same with Game of Thrones, as it stands – 9.1 working days, less than two working weeks, before the job was done, signed off, go home and put your feet up. The company AT&T has released a “streaming consumption calculator”, which informs you with casual cruelty how much of your life you have dedicated to watching your favourite TV shows, in terms of data and time. (Obviously not at all motivated...
  • The moon is about to do something it hasn’t done in more than 150 years

Call it whatever you like — a blue red moon, a purple moon, a blood moon — but the moon will be a special sight on Jan. 31. Three separate celestial events will occur simultaneously that night, resulting in what some are calling a super blue blood moon eclipse. The astronomical rarity hasn’t happened for more than 150 years, according to Space.com. A super moon, like the one visible on New Year’s Day, is the term for when a full moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit, appearing bigger and brighter than normal. Supermoon rises over Reno, Nevada...

Although he does not foresee a quick end to the special counsel probe into Russian election meddling and aides to President Donald Trump, former White House counsel John Dean noted that the modern media landscape may prevent it from lasting as long as the Watergate investigation, which he said stretched on for 928 days. “There’s social media, there’s the internet, the news cycles are faster. I think Watergate would have occurred at a much more accelerated speed than the 928 days it took to go from the arrest at the Watergate to the conviction of (H.R.) Haldeman and (John) Ehrlichman...

One thing I often wonder is if those in the DS are becoming afraid by the constant drips and releases of their wrong doings. I get the impression that Huma is very scared (well, she already has a husband and husband behind bars, while the POTUS is calling for her to be jailed.) I sense McCabe and Strzok are greatly concerned, but not yet terrified. It doesn't seem as if Comey and HRC are capable of the the emotion of fear, but rather just radiate defiance and arrogance. Your thoughts?

Our forefathers came to certain conclusions and decided upon certain courses of action which have been a great blessing to the world. Before we can understand their conclusions we must go back and review the course which they followed. We must think the thoughts which they thought. Their intellectual life centered around the meeting-house. They were intent upon religious worship. While there were always among them men of deep learning, and later those who had comparatively large possessions, the mind of the people was not so much engrossed in how much they knew, or how much they had, as in...

Two of the co-founders of the opposition research firm behind the infamous Steele dossier say they are “extremely proud” of their work investigating Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia. But, writing at The New York Times, Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch, two partners at Fusion GPS, provide little in the way of evidence to support the core allegations made in their salacious report... They also write: “We don’t believe the Steele dossier was the trigger for the F.B.I.’s investigation into Russian meddling"...

An unusually powerful storm is threatening the East Coast of the U.S. this week with heavy snow, high winds, and record-shattering cold not seen in some places since the early 20th Century — if at all. The storm will be the result of a combination of three strong pieces of atmospheric energy, known to meteorologists as shortwaves. Think of these shortwaves as protein bars for storm formation. This particular storm, which is already beginning to form off the coast of Florida, will devour enough of them to allow it to become so powerful that it will contain hurricane force winds...

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #Never Trumpers) constantly ask me if I'm not bothered by Donald Trump's lack of decorum. They ask if I don't think his tweets are "beneath the dignity of the office." Here's my answer: We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized "collegiality" as John McCain? We tried propriety has...
  • Officials Warn of Stingray Injuries in Huntington Beach [CA] After 73 People Stung in 1 Day

Huntington Beach lifeguards are reminding beachgoers to do the “stingray shuffle” when entering the ocean, as more swimmers than usual have reported being stung in the past week. A stingray barb is lodged in the foot of a beachgoer in Huntington Beach in a photo released to the Los Angeles Times by the Huntington Beach Marine Safety Department on Jan. 2, 2018. Dragging one’s feet across the sandy sea bottom can send the creatures scurrying away.
