President Obama said Saturday that he is "concerned" by the FBI assessment that the State Department has acted carelessly in handling classified information. "I am concerned," he told reporters at a news conference in Warsaw Saturday, according to Reuters . But he cast the problem as a government-wide struggle to keep up technology and the fast-paced flow of information. "The advent of email and texts and smart phones is just generating enormous amounts of data," Obama said, which is "putting enormous pressure on the department to sort through it, classify it properly." In concluding the FBI's investigation into former Secretary...

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said at his press conference on Wednesday that Congress will “look into” whether Congress can deny former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton access to classified information, if she becomes the presidential nominee, saying, “it’s the least we can do.” […] “I’ve just got to say, from my own experience, you get access to deeply classified material once you leave the convention as the nominee, on a regular basis,” he said. “It’s part of a transition government.”“With no indictment occurring, but a discussion or a call for administrative action, I think it’s the least we can...

No one at the White House knew that FBI Director James Comey was going to speak on Tuesday, never mind what he’d say, White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Tuesday. “With regard to a reaction from the White House, I don’t have an official reaction to share,” he said. “The reason for that is simply that, while the FBI is completing their investigation, the career prosecutors at the Department of Justice still have to make a final determination about how and whether to proceed. “And we have gone to great lengths to avoid the appearance of interfering with...

Shortly after U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was slain during an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi last September, his sister Anne Stevens received a call from Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Stevens, a Seattle doctor, recalled Clinton saying that “justice would be done” for Chris Stevens’ death. But those words struck Stevens as exactly wrong. “This was not at all how my brother would have reacted — I never heard him talk like that,” said Stevens, a specialist in autoimmune conditions at Seattle Children’s.

Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday that the long-awaited report from the House Select Committee on Benghazi “found nothing” new on the Sept. 11, 2012, attack that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, during her tenure as secretary of state. And Stevens’ family agrees. “I do not blame Hillary Clinton or [former Defense Secretary] Leon Panetta,” Anne Stevens, MD, Chris’ sister who has served as the family spokesperson since his death, told the New Yorker’s Robin Wright. “They were balancing security efforts at embassies and missions around the world. And their staffs were doing their best to provide what...

Something stinks about this interview to Heaven's ceilings. Ambassador Chris Steven's sister Anne gave an interview yesterday to online magazine the New Yorker, where she told everyone to stop blaming Hillary Clinton for what happened in Benghazi. She desires Americans to get past the death of her brother as Hillary has done the best job possible in clearing up the incident and it also seems she wants to move forward. There's just one thing wrong with this. I don't believe this woman nor do I think she came up with this story on her own and I am not thinking...

He made a short film before returning to Libya about his excitement over his post. He was an Arabic speaker with experience of the Arab world. Chris Stevens even supported the intervention in Libya and the overthrow of Muammar Al-Gaddafi...here, Chris Stevens is videotaped unceremoniously after his death...Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, laughed when she found out about the deaths, famously saying We came, we saw, he died.

The State Department watchdog, in an extensive and detailed report, accused Hillary Clinton of flouting federal records rules and cybersecurity guidelines with her exclusive use of personal email for government business while secretary of state. The forthcoming inspector general audit, a copy of which was obtained Wednesday by FoxNews.com, faults Clinton and her predecessors for poorly managing email and other computer information. The report says the department was “slow to recognize and to manage effectively the legal requirements and cybersecurity risks associated with electronic data communications.” It cites “longstanding, systemic weaknesses” related to communications that started before Clinton's tenure. But...

The U.S. military acted properly on the night of the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, according to leaked testimony from a retired, three-star Army general who served as chief lawyer for Republicans on the House committee investigating the attacks. Retired Army Lt. Gen. Dana Chipman “repeatedly commended the military’s actions on the night of the attacks during closed interviews with Defense Department officials,” including a Jan. 8 interview with former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Democrats on the committee say. […] The Democrats’ letter quotes Chipman as telling Panetta: “I think you ordered exactly the right forces to move out...

There is no question that American Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was murdered in Benghazi. The question I have been dealing with in two previous posts is whether or not Stevens was placed in Benghazi so he would be killed much like Israel’s King David ordered his general to have Uriah the Hittite assigned to a place in a battle where his death was virtually certain.

After I published the previous post suggesting the Benghazi massacre demonstrated Hillary Clinton’s incompetence I received an email asking about the possibility that Clinton or someone intended for Ambassador Chris Stevens or another American to be murdered. I’m still inclined to believe the best explanation is incompetence, but I recognize the incident could have involved premeditated murder.

The White House sought Monday to share the blame for the failed aftermath of the 2011 intervention in Libya, arguing the U.S. and its NATO allies asked too few questions about what would follow after dictator Moammar Gadhafi was toppled. A day after President Barack Obama called that failure the worst mistake of his presidency, the White House said Obama believed more should have been done to fill the power vacuum. Although the U.S. played a leading role in that effort, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama’s regrets extended to what “the United States and the rest of the...

President Obama insisted Sunday that there will be no White House or political influence on the FBI or the Justice Department as they look into the security of the private email system Hillary Clinton used for government work when she was secretary of state. "I can guarantee that," Obama said in an interview with "Fox News Sunday." It was his first interview with the network in two years. Obama also defended his former secretary of state, even as he said that he had to be "careful" because of the ongoing investigation. He strongly suggested that the mishandled classified documents that...

A former Bush Administration official said Wednesday that single-issue Republican voters, who plan to select a candidate based on their foreign policy, should consider likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton if Donald Trump is her opponent come November. "If you care about that bucket of social issues, pro-life, what not, you can't make the leap to Hillary Clinton," Nicolle Wallace, who served as President George W. Bush's communications chief and a senior adviser to the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008, told MSNBC in an interview Wednesday morning. "But if foreign policy is how you vote, if that is your central concern,...

A new trove of documents unearthed by Judicial Watch with a Freedom of Information Act request sheds more light on the Clinton email scandal, revealing that Hillary Clinton demanded changes to the National Security Agency’s protocols so she could use her smartphone and secret email server.

Have you no shame, Hillary Clinton? In a stunning display of callous indifference to the casualties of her incompetent foreign policy as Secretary of State, the woman who claimed to have dodged sniper fire in Bosnia, in Wednesday’s CNN debate in effect called Patricia Smith, mother of Benghazi casualty Sean Smith, a liar. As Breitbart News reported the exchange: RAMOS: Secretary Clinton, on the night of the attacks in Benghazi, you sent an e-mail to your daughter Chelsea saying that al qaeda was responsible for the killing of the Americans, however some of the families claim you lied to...

Seventeen months before he was killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, Ambassador Chris Stevens was seriously considering leaving the country as its civil war widened. The ambassador´s concerns are reflected in emails sent to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton´s inner circle. The emails were released by the State Department Monday as part of the 14th and final batch of messages from Clinton´s private server. One email in particular, dated April 10, 2011, relays Stevens´ safety concerns to the State Department. It was sent by a State Department official named Timmy Davis to

An email released Monday pertaining to the Benghazi investigation from Hillary Clinton’s private email server revealed that a message detailing the location of murdered Ambassador Chris Stevens passed through the unsecured server, raising the possibility that terrorists could have intercepted the message. According to Breitbart, the April 10, 2011, email from State Department employee Timmy Davis was forwarded to the server by Clinton’s aide, Huma Abedin. . . . . The email is the latest in a chain of emails that reveal Ambassador Stevens‘ location was readily available to anyone who could hack into Hillary Clinton’s unsecured private email server....

An email containing the whereabouts and plans of murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens passed through Hillary Clinton’s private server, dispatches released Monday in the final group of messages from Clinton’s emails reveal. The email was actually first released last May but was contained in Monday’s batch as well, serving as a reminder that numerous emails sent to Clinton’s private address betrayed Stevens’ location while he was stationed in arguably one of the most dangerous zones in the world for an American diplomat. The email in question was written Sunday, April 10, 2011 by State employee Timmy Davis and sent to...

New intelligence assessments show that the number of Islamic State fighters has dropped in Iraq and Syria but is rising in Libya, a senior U.S. defense official said Thursday. According to the official, reports suggest there are 19,000-25,000 IS fighters in Iraq and Syria, compared to an earlier range of 20,000 to more than 30,000. The newly declassified numbers back up recent comments from military commanders and other defense officials who have argued that the U.S.-led coalition airstrikes are having an impact on Islamic State militants and causing them to lose ground in both countries. ...
