The Justice Department is refusing to hand over audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. “The Committees have responded with escalation and threats of criminal contempt,” the DOJ wrote in a letter to House GOP Chairmen James Comer and Jim Jordan. “We urge the Committees to avoid conflict rather than seek it.” House Oversight Chairman James Comer on Monday released a statement after the DOJ rebuffed his committee’s request for the audio recordings. “The Biden Administration does not get to determine what Congress needs and does not need for its oversight of the executive branch,” Comer...

Here we go. Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg says Jack Smith is close to using a ‘nuclear button’ to remove Judge Aileen Cannon from the Trump classified documents case over her jury instruction order. “He is close to pushing the nuclear button,” said Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg, according to NBC News. “It is a high burden to reach, and it is rarely done, but her proposed jury instructions may have pushed him to the breaking point.” Last month Judge Aileen Cannon issued a jury instruction order in Jack Smith’s classified documents case and the leftist...

Special Counsel Jack Smith issued a veiled threat to Judge Aileen Cannon in response to her jury instructions. Last month Judge Aileen Cannon issued a jury instruction order in Jack Smith’s classified documents case and the leftist legal analysts went apocalyptic.

Of all of the legal cases currently being piled up against Donald Trump in the Democrats' ongoing lawfare efforts against him, the one I've probably found the most troubling is the allegation of mishandling classified documents. It's a fairly serious charge and it's one of the few cases against him that does at least appear to involve the possibility of an actual crime being committed (more on that in a moment) and physical evidence to support the claim. It has thus far sounded as if the court was taking it seriously as well. But now, a possible ray of hope...

Judge Aileen Cannon issued a jury instruction order in Jack Smith’s classified documents case and the leftist legal analysts are going apocalyptic. Cannon gave two options for jury instructions. The first option: In a prosecution of a former president for allegedly retaining documents in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 793(e), a jury is permitted to examine a record retained by a former president in his/her personal possession at the end of his/her presidency and make a factual finding as to whether the government has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that it is personal or presidential using the definitions set forth...

The MAGA-friendly federal judge who keeps siding with Donald Trump in his Mar-a-Lago classified records case has forced prosecutors to make a stark choice: allow jurors to see a huge trove of national secrets or let him go. U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon’s ultimatum Monday night came as a surprise twist in what could have been a simple order; one merely asking federal prosecutors and Trump’s lawyers for proposed jury instructions at the upcoming trial. But as she has done repeatedly, Cannon used this otherwise innocuous legal step as yet another way to swing the case wildly in favor...

Former President Donald Trump appeared in a Florida courtroom on Thursday to appeal his classified documents case, while citing Special Counsel Robert Hur’s decision not to bring charges against sitting President Joe Biden. Hur’s report showed that Joe Biden not only willfully and intentionally mishandled classified documents, stored them in multiple insecure locations, and procured them while Senator and Vice President, but he also misled federal investigators, obstructed justice, and divulged national security secrets. Biden’s leaks of classified information are deemed to be so serious that the Intelligence Community is now performing a “damage assessment” to ascertain the extent they...

Remarkable highlight from today. Top secret classified documents were found in 7 separate locations. Joe Biden, as VP and Senator, was never authorized to keep any classified documents. Some were more than 40 years old. VIDEO OF TESTIMONY AT LINK....................

On Tuesday broadcast of CNN’s “News Central,” Biden campaign co-chair Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said “President Biden has deep respect for the classified document process.” When asked about Special counsel Robert Hur’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee hearing on the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents, Coon said, “What I think really matters here about this whole kerfuffle is that at the end of the day, former President Donald Trump is facing 40 felony counts in a federal action because of his mishandling of federal classified documents, while President Joe Biden has been cleared.” He continued, “All the...

The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents trial granted the former president's legal team a 10-day extension to make filings in the case, despite opposition to the motion from special counsel Jack Smith. Florida-based federal Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday ruled that Trump may file replies to motions by March 24, 2025.

Within hours of the release of a special prosecutor’s report finding he “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials” as a private citizen, President Biden rushed to the White House podium to blame his former “staff.” “I take responsibility for not having seen exactly what my staff was doing,” the president maintained. Like Biden, these staffers have avoided any criminal charges. Who are they? Without identifying them by name, special counsel Robert Hur narrowed the suspects to two former aides: “Executive Assistant” and “Staff Assistant 3.” He said they gathered up more than 180 classified records totaling more than 600 pages...

If you ever needed a good point to highlight the nature of political Lawfare, this is a great example. Julie Kelly essentially notes that Special Prosecutor Jack Smith is asking DC Judge James Boasberg to decide what evidence should be given to Florida Judge Aileen Cannon. Julie Kelly – “It appears that records related to the grand jury proceedings in DC on the classified docs case remain under seal and have not been transmitted to Judge Cannon or defense. Recall that almost the entire investigation into the classified docs matter took place in Washington DC–not southern FLA even though it...

Special Counsel Robert Hur could not determine who had access to Joe Biden’s stolen classified documents stored at Penn Biden Center because security deleted all the visitor logs from 2017-2021. According to Hur, Joe Biden kept more than 600 pages of classified documents in unlocked drawers/closets at the Penn Biden Center and stored some of them in dilapidated boxes in his Delaware garage and other unsecured locations. The FBI identified numerous folders, including many labeled “EYES ONLY VPOTUS” which contained highly classified material related to intelligence sources and methods. However, Biden was still not charged and none of his aides,...

Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report revealed President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified information, indicating a pattern of carelessness dating back to at least 2010. The report highlighted a significant cognitive decline in Biden, making his handling of classified materials politically damaging. “Classified information of any kind may only be reviewed or discussed in secured locations, and never in a public place such as on a train,” Cynthia Hogan wrote. “The [classified briefing] books must remain in your custody, or that of your cleared staff, at all times unless they are in your safe. Classified material must be returned to your...

The House impeachment inquiry into President Biden has previously sought to determine if any of the classified documents discovered in unsecured locations related to Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. According to the appendices listing the documents recovered in the Justice Department investigation into Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents, the president retained talking points and a telephone call transcript with the Ukrainian prime minister from a key period in Hunter Biden’s Burisma Holdings employment. One appendix also lists a classified briefing on U.S. Energy Assistance to Ukraine, from September 2014, shortly after Hunter Biden had joined the board of the...

President Joe Biden took to the microphone for an unannounced address on Thursday night, following the release of the politically devastating Special Counsel report that said he "willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen." While the report stated that such actions "present serious risks to national security,” Biden will not face charges because he presents himself as an “elderly man with a poor memory” and it would be difficult to convince a jury he is guilty of a serious felony because to commit such a crime “requires a mental state of...

President Joe Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency,” Department of Justice special counsel said in a report released Thursday. But special counsel Robert Hur also said that he would not criminally prosecute Biden for his handling of that material.

WASHINGTON—Special Counsel Robert Hur has finished his investigation into President Biden’s handling of classified material and has written a sharply critical report, according to people familiar with the matter. The report, which could add a dynamic to the 2024 presidential contest, is expected to be shared with Congress and made public in the coming days, the people said. A spokesman for Hur declined to comment, as did a spokeswoman for Biden’s personal lawyer. Hur was appointed in January of last year to examine why sensitive documents ended up at Biden’s home and former office, which initially were discovered by the...
