Socialists on the Seattle City Council have taken advantage of our capitalist system, getting wealthy off the low-income voters they claim to fight for. In fact, Socialists Kshama Sawant and Tammy Morales are collectively worth over $3.5 million. In Washington state, they’re both one-percenters: the very people they regularly demonize. Councilmembers must submit financial disclosure forms every year. It allows the public to see any potential conflicts of interest. But it has the added bonus of highlighting how many get wealthy off their socialist grift. It turns out, the only way socialism works, apparently, is selling your brand to kids...

<p>It’s a painful lesson we learned with the truth about what caused of deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods. Rice knowingly lied to cover up the mistakes made by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, then Vice President Biden and President Barack Obama, who failed to fulfil their duty and protect the lives of Americans overseas. Ambassador Rice made the rounds on five Sunday morning talk shows spreading lies of how the coordinated attack on a U.S. compound was sparked by a video no one ever saw nor heard.</p>

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump After seeing the massive Voter Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, I disagree with anyone that thinks a strong, fast, and fair Special Counsel is not needed, IMMEDIATELY. This was the most corrupt election in the history of our Country, and it must be closely examined! 6:16 PM · Dec 23, 2020

Here follows the complete text of Archbishop Vigano’s letter... ***** Archbishop Viganò’s Episcopal Coat of Arms Dear Mr. Kokx, I read with lively interest your article “Questions for Viganò: His Excellency is Right about Vatican II, But What Does He Think Catholic Should Do Now?” which was published by Catholic Family News on August 22 (here). I am happy to respond to your questions, which address matters that are very important for the faithful. You ask: “What would ‘separating’ from the Conciliar Church look like in Archbishop Viganò’s opinion?” I respond to you with another question: “What does it mean to separate from...

Much has been made about the “veto-proof” majority of Seattle City Council members who committed on Twitter and elsewhere to cutting 50% of the Seattle Police Department’s budget. But in the near term, the reality is proving more complicated. On Friday, council members for the first time offered specific proposals and timelines for cutting the department’s budget and creating alternative systems to prevent violence and provide community safety. They also urged Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best to prioritize responding to violent crimes and to deprioritize calls that could disproportionally impact communities of color. Only one council member, Kshama Sawant, proposed...

Every member of the eleven-person council has progressive political ideologies, something that’s made clear by the accessories many of them wear inspired by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Austin City Council Members are nonpartisan in that they don’t run as Democrats or Republicans. A city spokesperson pointed KXAN toward the Texas Election Code which indicates that all local governments in Texas run nonpartisan elections by default, Austin just hasn’t chosen to authorize partisan candidacy... Council Member Allison Alter added that the RBG accessories were, “one small way to show solidarity amongst ourselves.” Alter also pointed out that many...

A Berkeley City Council member rebuked an invitation on Thursday to appear on Tucker Carlson's show, calling the Fox News host a "white supremacist goblin." Rigel Robinson shared a screenshot on Twitter of an email exchange with Chelsea Gilman, a booker for Carlson's show, who asked him if he would appear on the show to discuss the city's decision to rename manholes "maintenance holes." Robinson, who co-sponsored an ordinance to remove all gendered language from the city's code, thanked Gilman for her offer before offering a scathing criticism of Carlson. "Unfortunately I won't be able to come on the show,"...

The San Diego City Council voted six to two Monday for an ordinance saying gun owners must lock up their firearms or disable them in the home. Fox 5 reports that the council’s six Democrat members all voted for the gun control, which is designed to force firearms to be locked up or be disabled even if no minors are present in the home. ABC 10 reports that gun owners cannot legally store their firearms in just any lockbox, but they must be in a “Department of Justice-approved lockbox.” No indication was given for how much a DOJ approved lockbox...

You’ve Seen One Elohim, You’ve Seen Them All? A Critique of Mormonism’s Use of Psalm 82 Michael S. Heiser FARMS Review 19/1 (2007): 221–66. 1550-3194 (print), 2156-8049 (online) Heiser discusses Psalm 82 and the interpretations of Elohim that Latter-day Saints and evangelicals derive from that scriptural passage. Heiser then offers alternative interpretations from his own study. "Over the course of the last eight years I have read several papers dealing in one way or another with that feature of Israelite religion known as the divine council. Anyone doing serious research in Israelite religion is soon confronted with the powerful evidence...

At the same time that localities across the country are in the process of erasing monuments to Confederates and slave-owners, New York City is preparing to honor a black man who ordered the murder of every white man, woman, and child under his control, resulting in 3,000 to 5,000 race homicides. Seth Barron reports at City Journal: In New York City, street co-namings – in which a thoroughfare takes on an additional, ceremonial name in honor of a distinguished figure – rarely generate much fuss, and their approval is typically pro forma.  But yesterday, a city council committee voted to co-name...

At an event in the White House, flanked by several members of Congress and industry officials as well as Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Trump signed the executive order that re-establishes the council, last active at the end of the administration of President George H.W. Bush in 1993. ... Trump had previously announced that Vice President Mike Pence would serve as the head of the space council once it is reestablished. Pence stated on several occasions, dating back to the signing of a NASA authorization bill in March, that the president would soon sign the order re-establishing the council, with...

How about Session creates a Prosecutor to look into Russian Hacking and interference including Trump thing IN PARALLEL to the other slow moving money draining sketchy biased Mueller council. Trump can be like “You know this is taking very long, and I want to make double sure that this is taken care of”. This would be a more pro Trump prosecutor to look into the issue. This would be fair. They can after a short period of time exchange information. Trump can’t get rid of the current prosecutor (or feels enough pressure not to). Well, this may be a solution...

It is the Decision of the Holy Spirit and Us – A Reflection on the Catholicity of the Early Church Msgr. Charles Pope • May 17, 2017 • The first readings at daily Mass this week recount the Council of Jerusalem, which scholars generally date to around 50 A.D. It was a pivotal moment in the history of the Church, because it would set forth an identity for Her that was independent of the culture of Judaism per se and would open wide the door of inculturation to the Gentiles. This surely had a significant effect on evangelization in...

Anbar Province and the Iraq Study Group Report Iraqi Politicians and Tribal Sheihks are concerned about the implications of the Iraq Study Group report The release of the Iraq Study Group report, a 79 point plan to address Iraq, created by a blue ribbon panel lead by former Secretary of State James Baker and Representative Lee Hamilton, has implications far beyond domestic U.S. politics. I've been asked numerous times how this report has effected the U.S. troops serving in Iraq. The answer is very little. Most shrug their shoulders at the news reports, and haven't had time to digest the...

For the past year as some of you know, Sweden has called for a ban on lobster imports from the United States. Without a shred of proof, they claim that American raised lobster threaten their native lobster in its own habitat. Only two forces seem to be fighting this unjustified and uncalled for ban, Nova Scotia and New England Fisherman, particularly those from my home state of Maine. The ban proposal has already cleared its first hurdles despite new data by European scientists that show that American imports have nothing to do with the increase of North American lobsters in...

Moscow, June 13, Interfax - The Pan-Orthodox Council can only be legitimate if all local Churches without exceptions participate in it, the Moscow Patriarchate said. "Some people now say that it's their problem that they have refused, they don't have to participate, but we will go ahead anyway in the composition that will be there and will make decisions and they will become binding for everyone. It doesn't happen that way," Metropolitan Hilarion, the head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations, told a briefing in Moscow on Monday. He said that all Churches have to participate in the...
