Avatar: The Way of Water Final Trailer Shows Off Pandora's Oceans and Teases a New Conflict James Cameron is teasing new landscapes on Pandora and a new conflict in the final trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water. On Tuesday, 20th Century Studios released the final trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, which hits theaters over a decade after the director's 2009 film Avatar. The long-awaited sequel meets the original film's main characters Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) as parents for a new adventure. The sequel's "cinematic experience reaches new heights" as 68-year-old writer-director Cameron "transports...

Last week for the Second time, i got to see Avatar. having been watching the blog sphere lately I have been quite surprised by some of the responses to the movie, Allegations that the movie promotes environmentalism, and liberalism. probably the biggest problem I have heard is that the humans instead of the aliens are the bad guys. A major departure from traditional science fiction orthodoxy that is rare. That, and James Cameron has used his fame to attack and ridicule conservatives and libertarians. my review concentrates on some of the ridiculous remarks made against the movie in the blog...

When Star Wars first came out, it was a quantum leap beyond anything I had ever seen in a theater before. I ended up watching it 26 times in the theater. I have not had that experience since - until today. In 3D and Imax, I saw Avatar. Yes, I know the liberal "love the trees BS" message people say it has, but it is science fantasy. Sure, the parallels between the indigenous "people" of the planet and the American Indians and simple tribal cultures of planet earth and their various forms of nature worship were thick enough to cut...

Avatar has triumphed at the 67th annual Golden Globes, winning the award for best film drama. Director James Cameron also picked up the best director award for his blockbuster which is on course to be the biggest grossing movie ever. The science-fiction epic won out over George Clooney's critically acclaimed Up in the Air, Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds, gritty drama Precious and Iraq drama The Hurt Locker. There was disappointment for British stars as nominees Emily Blunt, Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan and Colin Firth all missed out The Hangover claimed the top comedy trophy at the awards which are voted...

December 25, 2009 Avatar the movie: the religion of the left By Phill Kline The visuals are stunning, the story borrowed and the message shallow and false. John Cameron's new epic Avatar features a jump in animation technology and a throwback of over 1,000 years to pantheism. Set in 2154, the movie features a U.S. mega-corporation mining the distant planet of Pandora for a rare mineral that suspiciously looks like a carbon spewing lump of coal. The mining is conducted with smoke belching machinery that rape the planet while the human workers are protected by Marine mercenaries from the...
  • Avatar – the Latest Anti-Western Movie From Hollywood

Since I am a certified sci-fi geek and most science fiction movies are quite bad this habit unfortunately forces me to watch a large number of bad movies. It’s one of my little perversions. I have just watched the most expensive B-movie ever made, the US$ 237 million Avatar by director James Cameron, famous for having produced films such as The Terminator, Terminator 2, Aliens and Titanic. Briefly summed up I would say that while it is visually spectacular, as is everything Mr. Cameron makes, Avatar has to be one of the most anti-Western and especially anti-white Hollywood movies I...
  • 'Avatar' abominations: Get rid of those pesky humans!

Ecological disaster has long been a hallmark motif in many science fiction stories and movies, from "The Day of the Triffids," where alien plants take over earth to "Them," the classic science-fiction movie about ants transformed into giant arthropods by the atomic bomb. In the Hugo-winning science fiction novel "The Sheep Look Up" by John Brunner, (perhaps the ultimate environmental disaster novel), the final solution to stopping the environment from being destroyed by man is to kill off the most "wasteful" nation on earth, the American people! James Cameron's new sci-fi extravaganza, "Avatar," set to open Friday, says virtually the...
