The four pieces of human filth who brutally raped and murdered a young Knoxville couple are all getting new trials, thanks to the drug-addicted judge who presided over the cases. Former judge Richard Baumgartner bought extensively from the convicts in his own drug court. He considered himself above the law but finally got caught. Because he was high much of the time he was presiding over the trials, the families of the victims get to hear yet again how their children were savagely beaten, raped and mutilated before finally being killed.

First, there was Martin Crutsinger's Sunday stinker, which described the level of spending in President Obama's yet to be released 2012 budget as "$3 trillion-plus," timed so that early morning news readers, radio listeners, and TV viewers would hear it. The father of Channon Christian made a vow Friday to Lemaricus Davidson, the convicted ringleader in her kidnapping, rape, torture and murder. "I will do everything in my power to see that they stick that needle in you as soon as possible," Gary Christian said during Davidson's second sentencing hearing. Davidson is already under two death sentences for the 2007 murders of Christian, a 21-year-old University of Tennessee senior, and her boyfriend, Christopher Newsom, 23. He was back in Knox County Criminal Court to be sentenced on the other charges related to the crimes.
