MSNBC is blaming the National Rifle Association (NRA) for Ebola's arrival in the U.S., as well as for the fear of a greater outbreak that has followed. According to MSNBC, the NRA made "the Ebola crisis worse" by opposing Dr. Vivek Murthy's nomination to the position of Surgeon General in 2013. Had things been different--had Murthy been confirmed to the position of surgeon general--he could speak to the American people and relieve the "heightened public health anxiety."
