North Korean leader Kim Jong Il is suffering from chronic kidney failure and receiving dialysis treatment every two weeks, the head of a state-run research center said. Kim also has diabetes and high-blood pressure, Nam Sung Wook, head of the Seoul-based Institute for National Security, said at a seminar yesterday, according to the organizer.
