I spent twenty-two years serving in the Colorado criminal justice arena. I worked as a municipal police patrolman, a police detective, a patrol sergeant, and as a uniformed county sheriff’s deputy and detective. Following twenty years as a cop, I also spent two years on the other side of the Courtroom as an Investigator for the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office.
