A year-long process to find the next president of The Evergreen State College came to a shocking conclusion Wednesday when the college’s Board of Trustees emerged from a three-hour meeting and announced that the three finalists for the job had withdrawn their names from consideration. Board of Trustees Chairwoman Karen Fraser said all three finalists — Michael Dumont, Catherine Kodat and Lee Lambert — withdrew following recent interviews with faculty, students, staff and alumni. “We’re still in a state of surprise and disappointment,” she said. “This is where we are at the moment.” The Olympian wasn’t privy to all the...

Having just written about two separate examples of the woke in Seattle getting rough with people they dislike, I wanted to highlight something about the underlying mindset driving some of this behavior. Yesterday, James Lindsay, one of the people involved in the grievance studies academic hoax, published an essay titled “No, the Woke Won’t Debate You. Here’s Why.” He attempts to explain some of the philosophical reasons why this might be true. In Lindsay’s view the answer isn’t as simple as hoping to avoid being embarrassed. It’s much deeper than that. So far as he is aware, there’s no single explanation published anywhere...

Is Evergreen State College about to fold? Benjamin Boyce, who has become the indispensable reporter on the topic, thinks so. In a new video Boyce says current events lead him to believe “this college will be filing for bankruptcy, if not within the next week then by the end of the summer.” That’s a pretty big prediction so what is Boyce basing this on?Every year the president of Evergreen State College delivers a State of the College speech in which he spells out how things are going and where they are headed. Last year, President George Bridges put on...

OLYMPIA — Freshman Wasmine Ghosheh said she noticed it in the dorms. When the 19-year-old from Sonoma County, California, arrived at The Evergreen State College in September, she met students who were supposed to have roommates but ended up with their own rooms. “There’s a lot of space — it’s spacious, let’s say,” Ghosheh said the Friday before Thanksgiving break in a nearly empty cafeteria on campus. Evergreen’s enrollment this fall was 2,854 students, down more than 40% from its peak head count a decade ago. The decline, corresponding with an economic recovery and mirroring a trend in liberal arts...

Students at the embattled Evergreen State College, which made national headlines last year after it hosted an event that asked white people not to come on campus for a “Day of Absence,” have organized a new iteration of the controversial event despite administrators’ efforts to shift gears. Students at the Olympia, Washington-based public school have organized a three-day “Day of Absence” observance that includes a mix of events on and off campus. Some gatherings are advertised as open to all skin colors and others ask that only POC, or People of Color, attend. A poster hung at the school obtained...

...But as the members of the Intellectual Dark Web become genuinely popular, they are also coming under more scrutiny. On April 21, Kanye West crystallized this problem when he tweeted seven words that set Twitter on fire: “I love the way Candace Owens thinks.” Candace Owens, the communications director for Turning Point USA, is a sharp, young, black conservative — a telegenic speaker with killer instincts who makes videos with titles like “How to Escape the Democrat Plantation” and “The Left Thinks Black People Are Stupid.” Mr. West’s praise for her was sandwiched inside a longer thread that referenced many...

There has been a slight hitch in the academic career of Naima Lowe: The Evergreen State College professor who was caught on camera screaming at her white colleagues has elected to resign, according to an internal announcement. Provost Jennifer praised Lowe for teaching “feminist and queer theory, race, and decolonial studies” — i.e., pernicious cultural Marxist B.S. with no redeeming social value. Lowe, a self-described “black queer artist” who taught art and filmmaking classes at Evergreen State, initially came under public scrutiny after she was filmed screaming at two white members of the school’s Equity Council in the wake of...

The professor captured having a racist meltdown on video has resigned. Olympia, WA - An Evergreen State College professor who was captured on video making racist remarks and screaming at her white colleagues has resigned, and accepted a settlement from the school. Naima Lowe, a self-proclaimed black queer artist and educator who taught video and performance art at Evergreen State, had filed a discrimination and hostile work environment claim against the college, according to FOX News. The professor drew the ire of many when she was caught on video berating her white co-workers in front of the university’s library. “You...

The World Socialist Web Site, a hard-left news outlet which promotes “revolutionary opposition to the capitalist market system” has published a scathing editorial denouncing the student protesters at Evergreen State College as race-baiting loons who fail address any actual issues affecting “working class people of all races and genders.” Over the past couple weeks, the Evergreen State campus in Olympia, Washington has been the site of a stream of high-profile protests led largely by radical black students. The protesters have centered much of their fury on Bret Weinstein, a white biology professor who criticized an organized event “inviting” every white...

The madness surrounding Evergreen State College continues. As reported by The College Fix, last week a student “meeting” with school president George Bridges quickly turned into a profanity-laced fiasco with Bridges being told, among other things, to “shut the f*** up” and that he had the “f***ing nerve to, like, f***ing dehumanize (something).” Despite the mind-boggling degree of disrespect displayed by the activists, perhaps the most bizarre occurrence that took place is when President Bridges is instructed by students to put his hands down while speaking because it is “inappropriate” (to quote a voice heard in the video).

Administrators at a public college are claiming that state law allows them to permit biological males who self-identify as females into women’s locker rooms and restrooms on campus. Officials at Evergreen State College in Washington State stood by the claim in an interview with Campus Reform on Friday despite multiple complaints from females who apparently complained about the presence of men in women’s facilities. “We have to follow a non-discrimination policy with the state,” college spokesperson Jason Wettstein told Campus Reform on Friday. “State law doesn’t allow us to ignore gender identity as one of the protected classes,” he added.

A group of concerned parents contacted the legal firm for help. Hacker said a 45-year-old male student, who dresses as a woman and goes by the name Colleen Francis, undressed and exposed his genitals on several occasions inside the woman’s locker room at Evergreen State College. I'm up with relatives in the Walla Walla, WA. area and ventured over to the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days Parade. I've been to it before and it seemed bigger than usual this year. As the entries went by one by one, it all lead up to the grand finale' which resulted in the ultimate in patriotism. First, a group of Tea Party Patriots marched by and they received a warm response from the spectators along the parade route. Following the Patriots was the first half of the motorcycle club called the Combat Veterans of America. They too received...
