Today In America (Walla Walla, WA.)

I'm up with relatives in the Walla Walla, WA. area and ventured over to the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days Parade. I've been to it before and it seemed bigger than usual this year.

As the entries went by one by one, it all lead up to the grand finale' which resulted in the ultimate in patriotism. First, a group of Tea Party Patriots marched by and they received a warm response from the spectators along the parade route. Following the Patriots was the first half of the motorcycle club called the Combat Veterans of America. They too received a warm response from the crowd. Then came a tremendous moment for all real Americans. A tractor trailer rig was pulling a flatbed with a group of our courageous veterans perched atop of it who have recently returned from war (Iraq and Afghanistan, etc.). The crowd rose to it's feet and gave these war heroes a thunderous, thunderous ovation. I clapped long, loud and hard for my military brothers and sisters. It was a tremendous, unscripted patriotic moment.

After the veterans rode by, the 2nd half of the Combat Veterans of America roared by on their choppers- a very cool scene.

With this moment of patiotism unfolding, I could feel the envy flowing from the Democrats all the way from the White House. As Barack Obama insults the American people by not releasing his original long form birth certificate and other important douments, you can see that American pride and patriotism still exists in America.

Walla Walla is a great place. OK. It's not Dayton, but...

I love the tension between the wheat growers and the California wine growers. Looks like the wheaties won the day, today!

There is 3 colleges in greater Walla Walla, WA. Thus, the professors would be the reason for some libs in the town.
