(CNN) — Sean Hannity is a welfare queen. The controversial performance artist, host of the eponymous unreality TV show, has been revealed by The Guardian as a beneficiary of a federal mortgage guarantee program. The Guardian found that Hannity owns millions of dollars of real estate through more than 20 shell corporations, which shield his identity. The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Guardian notes, insured the mortgage loans with which Hannity purchased the properties. Let's be clear: This is a subsidy. This is a benefit. This is big government aiding a very wealthy man. This is welfare.

In the first week of public comments on a federal proposal to encourage male circumcision in the U.S., most people are telling Uncle Sam to leave the foreskins alone. “His body, his choice” and “Foreskin is not a birth defect” are among the hundreds of negative comments in the Federal Register against a proposed policy by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to advise that males of all ages be circumcised for health reasons. AIROBI, Kenya (AP) -- The circumcision season among Kenya's Bukusu ethnic group brings a festive atmosphere: music, food and free-flowing beer. For the uncircumcised men from other tribes in the area, however, it is not time to party, it's time to flee. At least 12 men from other tribes have been forcibly circumcised since the start of the circumcisions in August, according to police and local authorities. Others have sought refuge in police stations to avoid the knife's cut. The Bukusu ethnic group prefers traditional circumcisions using simple tools and no anesthesia. But tradition can be disastrous.

Woman accused of circumcising sleeping boyfriend with scissors A woman is accused of circumcising her sleeping ex-boyfriend with a pair of scissors in revenge for being dumped. Chan Lai-ching, 46, cut Lai Kwok-fai's foreskin away with the scissors after he told her in bed their seven-year relationship was over, the South China Morning Post reported. It's believed Mr Lai woke screaming after the attack and was rushed to hospital where he needed 11 stitches. The paper reports it took him two weeks to recover.
