  • Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Terminates Catholic Pastoral Care Contract During Holy Week

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center has issued a “cease and desist order” to Holy Name College, a community of Franciscan Catholic priests and brothers, who have provided pastoral care to service members and veterans at Walter Reed for nearly two decades.

The Coming Assault on Religious FreedomModern-day Thomas Beckets are needed to stop it.Joe Biden’s view of religious freedom is exceedingly narrow. Where religious freedom conflicts with the goals of liberalism, he supports suppressing it. He has promised Planned Parenthood that he will resume the Obama-era harassment of the Little Sisters of the Poor and other religious groups if they don’t conform to his mandates. During the campaign, he opposed “broad exemptions” for those who resist his view of LGBTQ rights. One of Biden’s transition officials is Chai Feldblum, who has spoken openly of her opposition to religious freedom. She has written,...

Normally, we’d scoff at a “pounce” narrative, but in this case it’s justified — across the aisle and the political/media spectrum, too. Thanks to Senate Democrats’ attacks on Amy Coney Barrett in her 2017 appellate confirmation hearing, their hostility to practicing Catholics on the bench practically invites another fight over faith in the upcoming hearings. Dave Weigel reports that both sides have to strategize over Catholicism, and that battle has a long, long history: By Saturday, the president will announce a female, Catholic nominee for the Supreme Court. The favorite is Amy Coney Barrett, who became a conservative star...

A Rathdrum couple said their American and Gadsden flags were cut from a 25-foot flagpole in front of their home in a senior community. Dale and Paula Atwood have proudly flown the flags on their property for 13 years. They were shocked to find the rope cleanly cut in two places Friday morning. The Gadsden flag, famous for its "Don't Tread on Me!" quote and rattlesnake symbol, is rooted in the Revolutionary War against Great Britain. According to Atwood, the Gadsden flag has long been a symbol of civil liberties, American patriotism, and disagreement with the government. "I think people...

This is the full post, minus the photos and some formatting. If you don't know who Jimmy Lai is, how the NED is funded through the CIA, and what John Bolton is all about, this article is for you. Here, in this article, we look at the United States involvement with HK. We [1] study how the United States uses Hong Kong to exert pressure on China for trade and geopolitical advantage. We also [2] take a look at the various people “behind the scenes” that are pushing for American involvement, for their own personal gain. Finally, [3] we study...

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania school principal will no longer say "God bless America" after leading students in the Pledge of Allegiance. Peter Brigg's practice at Sabold Elementary School in Springfield led at least one parent to complain to the Freedom for Religion Foundation, whose attorney contacted the district. The group claimed it violated the U.S. Constitution's prohibition of government sponsoring religious messages. The district decided to cease the practice after consulting with its lawyer. In a statement , the district says it is not prohibiting students from reciting "God bless America" after the pledge on their own.
  • New DNA Discoveries Prove the Bible Accurate, Despite What Headlines Claim

There was a spate of headlines last week claiming that new scientific discoveries disproved the historical narrative of the Bible. Headlines included, "DNA vs the Bible: Israelites did not wipe out the Canaanites" and "Study disproves the Bible's suggestion that the ancient Canaanites were wiped out." The problem is that the reverse is actually true: The discoveries confirm what the Scriptures explicitly state. Not surprisingly, these headlines didn't come from obscure, Bible-bashing websites. Instead, they came from Cosmos Magazine, Yahoo.com, New Scientist (claiming that the discovery helped unravel the "true fate" of the Canaanites), and others. As stated in the New York...

There was much fanfare when witches across the world - and singer Lana Del Rey - pledged to stand together and cast a hex against President Donald Trump on Friday night. But it seems the self-proclaimed witches gathered outside Trump Tower in New York couldn't conjure up much of a crowd. There was only a handful of people gathered outside the president's Manhattan Midtown penthouse as witches worldwide prepared to cast a magic spell at midnight.

Exclusive video from Brietbart News outside the GOP debate Wednesday shows a candid moment as union official Alejandra Valles, Secretary-Treasurer of the SEIU chapter United Service Workers West, directed a group of young protesters to “punch and kick” a photo of GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump. “This is awesome! Awesome!” exclaimed the woman taking the photo, before jumping into the photo herself and saying, “I’m going to kick!” She then urged the group to make fists.

A police department in a Texas Bible Belt community has placed large “In God We Trust” decals on its patrol vehicles in response to recent violence against law enforcement officers, drawing criticism from a watchdog group that says the decals amount to an illegal government endorsement of religion. The decision by police this month to unveil the phrase in Childress, an agricultural community of some 6,100 people at the southern edge of the Texas Panhandle, follows a similar move by dozens of other police agencies elsewhere in the country. St. Patrick’s Day Parade chairman John Dunleavy has been ousted after 22 years after a decades-long dispute over the inclusion of gay groups at the annual march down Fifth Ave., according to a report. The decision, made Tuesday afternoon after a meeting involving the parade’s board, comes just four days after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage across the United States.

Powerful gods and demi-gods impregnating human women—it’s a common theme in the history of religion, and it’s more than a little rapey. Zeus comes to Danae in the form of a golden shower, cutting “the knot of intact virginity” and leaving her pregnant with the Greek hero, Perseus. Jupiter forcibly overcomes Europa by transforming himself into a white bull and abducting her. He imprisons her on the Isle of Crete, over time fathering three children. Pan copulates with a shepherdess to produce Hermes. The legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus are conceived when the Roman god Mars impregnates Rea...
  • California High School: We Have a Right to BAN God

A High School in California has insisted that it has a right to ban the mention of God in a student’s graduation speech paradoxically claiming the Constitution gives them that power. In July 18-year-old Brooks Hamby refused to follow the schools ban order and thanked Jesus in his speech anyway sending the school into fits of apoplexy. A California school district says it will not apologize to a teenager who defied its orders and mentioned God in his graduation speech. Attorneys representing the Brawley Union High School District have written a 10-page letter defending the school’s right not only to...

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis...”. The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith. (From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military...
  • Rising numbers of children are going without food due to chaotic parenting, charity warns

Rising numbers of children regularly have to go without food due to chaotic parenting and chronic neglect, a charity claimed today. They are unable to concentrate properly at school and risk infections, slowed growth and impaired brain development. Kids Company, a charity for disadvantaged children, believes that as many as one million children are living with ‘food insecurity’ and are unsure where their next meal is coming from. These children typically each just ten meals each week - 11 short of the 21 meals a week needed for children to stay healthy. The charity highlighted a series of cases including...
  • The War on Christmas

Because "public life" now entails virtually every part of our lives, erasing references to God entirely from public life means virtually eliminating them from America. Imagine, if you will, a gala birthday party given in your honor. The guests will sing, dance, give presents, eat, drink, and have the merriest of times. The hitch: your name will not be mentioned, the gifts will not be for you, the celebrants won't be thinking about you, and everyone would sort of prefer that you not come. That's all that will be left of Christmas if various groups have their way. All across...

Just in time for the Christmas season, Washington State Gov. Christine Gregoire has insulted Christians all over the world. Inside the state Capitol building in Olympia there is a traditional holiday display featuring a tree and the Nativity scene; perfectly appropriate since the federal and state Christmas holiday celebrates the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. But this year Gregoire decided to add another item to the display. Standing alongside the baby Jesus is a giant placard designed by atheists that reads: "There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion...

Separation of Church and State? Multiple Choice question for all you out there- "Separation of Church and State" does NOT appear in which of the following Constitutions? A. Pol Pot's Cambodia B. Nazi Germany C. USSR D. United States If you answered "D" you got the only correct answer. In "B", Nazi Germany, Hitler, a New Age Neo-Pagan, did his best to de-Christianize his Third Reich. Hitler hated Jews, you see, and Jesus, being a Jew, was hated by the Nazi Party. The SS, who were the political troops of the regime, used pagan symbology and desecrated Christian wayside shrines...
