Documents revealed Kennedy tried to horse-trade with the FBI, offering additional slots for the bureau overseas if they would de-classify a particular email from Hillary Clinton’s server marked “SECRET.” The files also revealed he repeatedly tried to “influence” the bureau’s decision when his offer was denied, even taking his plea up the chain of command. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said at a campaign rally in Wisconsin that the new revelation was worse than Watergate. "This is one of the great miscarriages of justice in the history of our country," he said. Trump went on to accuse the State Department...

Neera Tanden says: I know this email thing isn't on the level. I'm fully aware of that. But her inability to just do a national interview and communicate genuine feelings of remorse and regret is now, I fear, becoming a character problem (more so than honesty). People hate her arrogant, like her down. It's a sexist context, but I think it's the truth. I see no downside in her actually just saying, look, I'm sorry. I think it will take so much air out of this. She always sees herself bending to "their" will when she hands over information, etc....

A senior State Department official sought to shield Hillary Clinton last year by pressuring the FBI to drop its insistence that an email on the private server she used while secretary of state contained classified information, according to records of interviews with FBI officials released on Monday. The accusation against Patrick Kennedy, the State Department's most senior manager, appears in the latest release of interview summaries from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's year-long investigation into Clinton's sending and receiving classified government secrets via her unauthorized server. Although the FBI decided against declassifying the email's contents, the claim of interference added...

The FBI on Monday released roughly 100 new pages of material from its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email system and the possibility that classified information may have been mishandled. The notes and interview summaries are likely to shed new light on the bureau’s year-long investigation into Clinton and her allies, which has come under fire from congressional Republicans. Despite claiming that the former secretary of State and her aides had been “extremely careless,†FBI Director James Comey has insisted that his investigators did not find evidence to support a criminal charge against the Democratic presidential nominee. The Justice Department...

FBI interview summaries and notes, provided late Friday to the House Government Oversight and Intelligence Committees, contain allegations of a "quid pro quo" between a senior State Department executive and FBI agents during the Hillary Clinton email investigation, two congressional sources told Fox News. In return for altering the classification, the possibility of additional slots for the FBI at missions overseas was discussed,” Chaffetz said. As Fox News previously reported, interviews released earlier this month, known as 302s, reveal the serious allegation that Kennedy applied pressure to subordinates to change classified email codes so they would be shielded from Congress...

Corruption: When FBI Director James Comey dismissed the case against Hillary Clinton he said it was because no reasonable attorney would take the case. Now we learn that there were plenty who would have done so. When Comey made his statement about the case in July, he painted a devastating portrait of Hillary Clinton's reckless use of a private email server while Secretary of State. Clinton knew little to nothing about handling classified material. She sent and received top secret information on an unsecured private email system and was otherwise extremely careless with national security secrets. She likely exposed sensitive...

Hillary Clinton's chief of staff moonlighted as an advisor to the Clinton Foundation while working full time at the State Department, according to leaked emails which highlight the blurred line between the government and the foundation while Clinton worked as Secretary of State. Leaked emails published by WikiLeaks show State Department aide Cheryl Mills helping to remodel the foundation's structure, preparing the organization for a corporate audit, and counselling Bill Clinton on his high-paying speaking and consulting work. Mills worked closely with the foundation and Bill Clinton - even as she was tasked at the State Department with helping to...

Donald Trump reacted to news that Hillary Clinton’s campaign communicated with the Department of Justice (DOJ) during the department’s investigation and litigation into her use of a private email server, which was recently revealed by WikiLeaks. “Wow. Unbelievable,” Trump posted on Twitter after an email revealed Clinton’s spokesman Brian Fallon communicating with the DOJ in May. (snip) Trump’s campaign also released a statement reacting to the email. Trump’s senior communications advisor Jason Miller stated: Today’s report that Clinton’s campaign was in communication with the Obama Department of Justice on the email investigation shows a level of collusion which calls into...

Emails published Tuesday by WikiLeaks suggest the Justice Department communicated with Hillary Clinton's campaign as the administration scrambled to deal with the fallout from her use of a private server. Brian Fallon, Clinton's campaign spokesman and a Justice Department alum, wrote in May 2015 that "DOJ folks" had tipped him off to an upcoming status hearing in a high-profile lawsuit that threatened to expose Clinton's 30,000 work-related emails to the public.
