A reduction of more than 12% in energy consumption in Ireland must be achieved by 2030 under a new EU directive. Minister for Environment Eamon Ryan brought details of the Energy Efficiency Directive to the Government today. The target is being decried as very challenging and it will require Ireland to consume 12.6% less energy by 2030 when compared to 2022 figures. …

It’s horrific when a political opponent dies in jail. But it’s also never good to be caught on camera attempting a coup in your country with a foreign intel service. Navalny in this video is asking MI6 Officer James William Thomas Ford for $10-20 Million a year to start a color revolution in Russia. This is why he was arrested. And has major implications especially in light of the CIA and MI6 sabotaging the Trump administration. Russia and the U.S. are more alike than you think. Sadly. VIDEO at link

For years, President Donald Trump has sounded the alarm about how Obama’s CIA spied on his campaign in 2016 before ultimately triggering the “Russian collusion hoax,” a carefully strategized mode of attack devised by the deep state to discredit the president with total lies. According to an explosive report by journalists Michael Shellenberger and Matt Taibbis, covered by Fox News’s Jesse Watters, the whole thing was one big setup. “Obama’s CIA targeted Trump and started the entire Russia hoax,” Watters began in the segment.

Despite the clear transcript and video evidence exonerating Trump for the hoax surrounding Charlottesville, millions of Americans still believe that the 45th President was an open, brazen racist.“Hard to Kill” is a Steven Seagal action thriller from 1990 that garnered scornful reviews, though I loved it as a then-teenager. But that phrase, hard to kill, also aptly describes the “Very Fine People” hoax surrounding Charlottesville and the lingering myth that President Trump praised bigots there. In recent days, liberal social media rabble-rouser actor Michael Rapaport stated on the Patrick Bet-David podcast that “the Charlottesville, that I ranted about, I was wrong…...

Moderate Senate Democrats were silent this week when Fox News Digital asked for a comment on President Biden's decision to appoint climate czar John Kerry's replacement without Senate confirmation. **SNIP** While Kerry will step down as special presidential envoy for climate (SPEC), Biden will not nominate a direct replacement, and Kerry's staff will report to another State Department official while Podesta coordinates policy with the SPEC office from the White House. The arrangement allows Podesta to sidestep a congressionally mandated Senate confirmation since the SPEC role will technically be left vacant. "Upon Secretary Kerry’s departure, the existing SPEC state team...

Actor Michael Rapaport has admitted that he helped spread the left’s Trump Charlottesville “very fine people” hoax, saying he was “wrong” to have promoted the lie. Michael Rapaport spoke about the hoax during a recent interview on the Patrick Bet David (“PBD”) podcast. “One thing about the Charlottesville — that I ranted about, and I was wrong,” the actor said. “When you see the full quote, that wasn’t what he said.”

DEAR ABBY: My son and daughter-in-law are in their early 30s. They have a 5-year-old child who hasn’t seen a doctor since infancy. They opted not to vaccinate. Although my husband and I do not agree with it, we keep our mouths shut. Our precious granddaughter has been sick with a severe cough and fever on and off for close to two months. Although they have health insurance, they refuse to take her to a doctor. They treat her with over-the-counter meds and holistic remedies. I finally told my daughter-in-law I felt it was negligence to not take the child...

Readers seem to be enjoying my posts on the Mann v. Steyn trial, so I’m going to continue with one more today. Meanwhile, the court does not hold trials on Fridays, so the proceeding has recessed for the weekend, to resume Monday morning. It’s likely that the trial will get very interesting next week, as the defendants present the heart of their case and as things wrap up. In the interim, I’ll provide some comments on the events yesterday, which was the 11th day of the trial. My previous post on Wednesday, January 31, was devoted mostly to the issue...

It’s come to this. With Earth at its hottest point in recorded history, and humans doing far from enough to stop its overheating, a small but growing number of astronomers and physicists are proposing a potential fix that could have leaped from the pages of science fiction: the equivalent of a giant beach umbrella, floating in outer space. The idea is to create a huge sunshade and send it to a far away point between the Earth and the sun to block a small but crucial amount of solar radiation, enough to counter global warming. Scientists have calculated that if...

To keep Earth from overheating too much, the nations of the world need to put fewer loopholes in climate agreements and far more money — trillions of dollars a year — into financial help for poor nations, the United Nations climate chief said Friday. In an unusual and blunt lecture at a university in Baku,United Nations Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell called gains made in the past not nearly enough. Without the proper amount of cash, he said those could “quickly fizzle away into more empty promises.” Much of it comes down to money: $2.4 trillion a year, Stiell...

The Mann v. Steyn trial in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia is now in the middle of its third week. For more background on the case, see my post from a few days ago here. I have been watching some substantial chunks of the trial on the court’s livestream, although unfortunately several other matters have prevented me from watching the entirety. Today at the lunch break, the plaintiff Michael Mann concluded the presentation of his case. The technical term is that the plaintiff “rested.” So I thought a short update would be timely. Because I haven’t seen...

Donald Trump has suggested he may choose a new lawyer to represent him when he appeals his damages verdict in a case brought against him by E. Jean Carroll. On Friday, a New York City jury ordered that the former president must pay $83.3 million in damages to Carroll for statements made in 2019. He said she was lying about allegations he sexually assaulted her inside a Manhattan department store dressing room in the 1990s. That amount includes $7.3 million in compensatory damages, $11 million for reputational repair, and $65 million in punitive damages. *** The Republican was represented by...

Monday marked the five-year anniversary of Joe Biden’s online condemnation of a “hate crime” that never happened. On Jan. 29, 2019, “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett, who is black and gay, made national headlines with claims a pair of white supremacist Trump supporters violently attacked him. The actor said his assailants screamed, “This is MAGA country!” in the apparently far-right city of Chicago. “I will never be the man this did not happen to,” Smollett told ABC News in an interview with Robin Roberts two weeks later. By December 2021, Smollett was convicted on five out of six charges over staging...

France's government sought on Thursday to find answers to farmers blocking motorways and demonstrating at public buildings across the country, after a fuel tax rise ignited long-standing resentments. "We're caught between rising costs and falling prices for our produce," said Dominique Kretz, a farmer among several hundred blocking the M35 motorway near the eastern city of Strasbourg. Farmers say they are squeezed from multiple directions, caught between supermarket buyers and the food industry crushing their margins, and environmental rules on issues like leaving land fallow and pesticide use. The last straw for many was the government's decision to phase out...

Candidates in the crowded race for Sacramento mayor agree that climate change is a global crisis demanding local action. But their plans to tackle the formidable issue vary, and some are rather light on specifics. That was one of the key takeaways from Monday night’s climate justice forum hosted by the League of Women’s Voters. The wide-ranging discussion touched on questions around implementing the city’s climate action goals, safe streets for pedestrians and cyclists, public transportation and water sustainability. Steve Hansen, a former City Council member “I’m going to bring back a robust community bike share program that is city...

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Parliament election this year could make passing ambitious climate change policies harder, if the vote delivers the "sharp right turn" that recent opinion polls suggest, researchers said on Wednesday. EU citizens are set in June to elect a new EU parliament - the body of 705 lawmakers which, alongside member countries' representatives, passes new EU policies and laws. The election is expected to yield more seats for populist, right-wing parties, and losses for centre-left and green parties, producing an "anti-climate policy action" coalition in the Parliament, according to a study commissioned by the European Council...

After 28 years of failed climate negotiations, scientifically informed emissions reductions set by governments have languished. Consequently, the pace at which the world is mitigating and adapting to the threat of climate change is far too slow to meet the challenge. Carbon concentrations in the atmosphere continue to rise quickly, as the ice sheets melt and climate shocks—like droughts, floods, and heatwaves—increase in frequency and intensity. Meanwhile, leadership of the climate negotiations at this late hour has been relegated to petrostates and former fossil fuel executives, which has helped make it impossible to agree upon, let alone implement, policies that...

What’s certain is the Capital Police and Secret Service didn’t do the bare basics required in response to a bomb threat, to say nothing about a confirmed explosive device. SNIP This is ironic in that Carlson was fired by Fox News for daring to air January 6 video that obviously contradicted The Narrative. Founding his own network, Carlson has the opportunity to air even more video. Widburg wrote: The video footage, shot on January 6 by a camera installed across the street from the pertinent events, shows two SUVs parked right next to the DNC bench near which one of...
