Lindsey Vonn’s road to her final Olympics has encountered some trouble. The American skiing star was treated for a back injury after completing her World Cup Super-G race in St. Moritz, Switzerland on Saturday. Vonn went to the ground after crossing the finish line and observers said she was experiencing extreme pain. She was treated in a nearby house and later limped to a car without speaking to reporters.

The masked suspect who robbed a Chicago hot dog stand Tuesday accidentally shot himself in the penis while fleeing the scene. The incident occurred about 6 a.m. According to the Chicago Tribune, the suspect, 19-year-old Terrion Pouncy, was “wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt” and he had a “dark scarf concealing his face.” Police report that he pulled a small handgun and demanded money from two men working the register. A senior Fatah activist was assassinated by Israel on Sunday evening when a public telephone exploded in his hand in the West Bank town of Beit Jala, Palestinian witnesses said.
