The survey found that 41 percent of independents would vote for Craig, compared to just 33 percent support for Whitmer. Nearly two-thirds of the 60 people arrested Friday night during riots in downtown Detroit over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis were from the city’s predominantly white suburbs.
