The future of online news outlets depends on their staying independent no matter how rough the boat ride. Struggling online news outlets would have to be more than just hopelessly naive to believe that a relatively new ‘New Media Alliance’ leading the battle for survival up against Internet giants Google and Facebook is fighting for them. How could any online outlet believe in an Alliance in which the New York Times is an active member? Hello New Media Alliance? Independent news outlets calling!

"In an age of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act".George Clooney was honored with the prestigious César d’Honneur Award for his services to film (?) last night in France. “Let me take this opportunity to bash you with this blunt instrument I’ve just been awarded.”Like all good little actors these days he used the opportunity to bash the new American President, telling the adoring fans that “love trumps hate; courage trumps fear.” Clever, and spoken like the true college dropout intellectual and Hollywood elitist he is; a man untouched by the crippling costs of Obamacare and oblivious...

Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media were a cornerstone of his campaign and last week he called BuzzFeed a “failing pile of garbage,” but forcing reporters to undergo random drug tests would provoke a media meltdown.

President-elect Donald Trump exploded at media bigs in an off-the-record Trump Tower powow on Monday, sources told The Post. “It was like a f—ing firing squad,” said one source. “Trump started with Jeff Zucker and said I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed…. “The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added. A second source confirmed the encounter. “The meeting took place...

Full title: "Matt Lauer’s Pathetic Interview of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump Is the Scariest Thing I’ve Seen in This Campaign" I had not taken seriously the possibility that Donald Trump could win the presidency until I saw Matt Lauer host an hour-long interview with the two major party candidates. Lauer’s performance was not merely a failure, it was horrifying and shocking. The shock, for me, was the realization that most Americans inhabit a very different news environment than professional journalists. I not only consume a lot of news, since it’s my job, I also tend to focus on elite...

In light of Trump's speech tonight I thought a refresher on the membership of JournoList would be useful in the coming days. CLEVELAND, Ohio — Seema Mehta, a Los Angeles Times correspondent covering fact-checkers during Donald Trump’s speech to the Republican National Convention Thursday evening, had to report his crime statistics as “mostly accurate.” Her complete headline at the Times blog was: “Donald Trump’s crime stats are mostly accurate but his conclusions are a stretch.” In other words, because his facts cannot be corrected and then mocked, his policies must be ridiculed instead.

#DarkSpeechesMatter It should come as no surprise that the news media is a colluding source of pure propaganda in modern America. To reinforce the idea, please examine the following headlines and see if you can spot the similarity: New York Times: His Tone Dark, Donald Trump Takes G.O.P. Mantle -- By PATRICK HEALY and JONATHAN MARTIN -- JULY 21, 2016 Boston Globe: The dark, frightening America of Donald Trump> -- By Michael A. Cohen -- JULY 22, 2016 Chicago Tribune: Fact-checking Donald Trump's convention speech: A dark vision based on specious stats -- By Glenn Kessler, Michelle Ye Hee Lee...

MSNBC had an awkward moment while trying to conduct a post-debate interview Sunday night, as reporter Kristen Welker appeared not to know she was live and told a Hillary Clinton aide what she would be asking her during their segment. She then interrupted the guest, Jen Palmieri, when she heard a delayed prompt from the studio. Ari Melber threw to Welker to speak with Palmieri, a flack for Hillary Clinton, but Welker was in mid-conversation with Palmieri and was telling her she would ask a question about Flint, Michigan, the site of Sunday night’s debate, because of the water crisis...

I have been listening off and on to the "John & Leah" show tonight on AM 970, starring John Ziegler and Leah Brandon. This Ziegler strikes me as sort of a loose cannon. He spent most of the program tonight talking about why Trump was unelectable and how Trump actually LOST to Hillary in a couple of recent polls. Does anyone know anything about this guy? Is he blowing smoke?

I had a look at Liz Mair's twitter. She's the idiot that wanted Scott Walker to run a suicidal open borders campaign. Then they parted ways. This was the story that broke it all. http://www.mofopolitics.com/2015/02/01/scott-walker-once-employed-liberal-feminazi-liz-mair/ Why is The Mair of RINO feminazis retweeting this creep? I though the Trump-hater consultant types were sick of Trump's crude attacks on people. I assume Liz Mair is following this guy on twitter. Wilson said nasty things about Ann Coulter. He also threatened certain things about Trump. https://twitter.com/lizmair https://twitter.com/TheRickWilson/status/701226786793910274 Liz Mair Retweeted Rick Wilson â€@TheRickWilson 7h7 hours ago Also, @jebbush could never ask for...

Coulter, Mair debate what's best for GOP (Video)Republican strategist Liz Mair and conservative columnist Ann Coulter debate whether or not Ted Cruz should be able to run for president. LIZ MAIR, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: In 2013, you were out there saying Ted Cruz was a natural-born citizen and eligible to run for office. People can check my Twitter feed, I retweeted your tweet from 2013 today. ANN COULTER: I changed my mind. LIZ MAIR: Well you were right the first time... Ann also said that Mitt Romney was the "perfect" and best Republican candidate. ANN COULTER: He was, there was no...

In a twist on the typically shadowy world of super PACS, a new anti-Donald Trump group is openly seeking donations for an ad that would flog the New York businessman for drawing and accepting praise from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Make America Awesome is also offering to pay commissions to people who bring in big donors. The size of the commissions is not disclosed in the appeal circulated early Friday by Republican operative Liz Mair, and she did not immediately respond to a request for details.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump took on the press and his most recently vanquished opponent at a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan Monday night, telling the crowd he hates the press, but would never kill them like Russian President Vladimir Putin has been accused. Trump said again that he was not offended that Putin praised him, even though he has been accused of killing journalists. "I don't like that. I'm totally against that," Trump said. "By the way, I hate some of these people but I'd never kill them." He pretended to reconsider, saying , "Let's see. No, I wouldn't....

A Republican operative who is organizing an effort to torpedo Donald Trump’s presidential campaign says she is starting a super PAC that could collect unlimited funds from individual donors. Liz Mair, former online communications director for the Republican National Committee, created a limited liability company in October called Trump Card LLC. The anti-Trump effort is focusing on the two states hosting the earliest nominating contests, Iowa and New Hampshire. In an e-mail to supporters, Ms. Mair said the group has reached out to 150 churches in Iowa, 50 community leaders in New Hampshire and media outlets in both states. She...

Failed political consultant Liz Mair is crowd funding a political attack on billionaire presidential candidate Donald Trump and she’s getting noticed.

The super PACs going after Donald Trump are making a "bad, bad decision," the candidate's special counsel and adviser warned Tuesday morning, saying that if the reports are true, "it changes everything." "Donald Trump wants to be treated fairly. He will demand that the GOP treat them fairly," Michael Cohen told CNN's Chris Cuomo on "New Day." If the party does treat him fairly, Trump "will honor the pledge because he’s an honorable guy," he said. But, "if they break that agreement with him, as they say, woe be on them," Cohen cautioned, referring to the loyalty agreement Trump signed,...

Late Friday evening, Breitbart News published an item highlighting, in part, a Go Fund Me campaign started by Republican establishment political consultant Liz Mair - her goal being to target and take down Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. For some reason, Mair seems to have reconsidered her effort, and the campaign is now nowhere to be found at Go Fund Me. Breitbart News reported: True to form, her online fundraising to take down Trump appears to be losing, too. Exactly how much Mair can accomplish with, at this time, all of $356 to take on Trump, remains to be seen. But...

Republican donors with links to several presidential candidates - as well as a prominent GOP operative - are pooling their resources in a new effort to go after Donald Trump and keep the party's presidential front-runner from winning the nomination. The most recent bid is a reported "guerrilla campaign" led by a group called Trump Card LLC and run by Liz Mair, former communications official for the Republican National Committee. The group's goal, according to The Wall Street Journal, is to collect money from anonymous donors to "defeat and destroy" Trump, who has essentially led the GOP presidential field since...

A new campaign is underway by Republican establishment operatives to take out Donald Trump and ensure he's not the candidate of choice for the GOP - and the billionaire front-runner has taken to Twitter to call out the lead player as a "wacko" with few funding friends. Trump described the operation this way on Twitter over the weekend: "A woman who got fired after two days of working with Scott Walker - a wacko - now trying to raise funds to fight me." He was referring to Liz Mair, a brief former campaign worker for Walker's presidential push, who's now...
