A new survey of crime affecting Irish farms has found more than half of farmers were victims of theft. Some 71% reported thefts to gardaí, but 29% did not. Stolen items were only recovered in 11% of thefts. The research was carried out by TU Dublin criminologists in conjunction with the Irish Farmers’ Association between July and November last year, and the views of 1,333 farmers, who voluntarily completed Irish Farm Crime Survey, were included. Results show that 55% of respondents have been victims of theft, with tools and farm equipment, machinery and fuel being the most commonly stolen items....

Source: Screenshot courtesy of Created Equal We all know the Left is unhinged. When it comes to abortion, it’s jacked up to steroid levels. It’s only going to be exacerbated with the recent anti-abortion bills passed in Georgia and Alabama. The debates will and have been intense. They always are, but we’ve seen a recent spate of violence from the progressive Left on this issue. Pro-lifers have been assaulted and harassed for their advocacy. On the latter example, PA State Rep Brian Sims , a Democrat, decided to show that he was a big tough guy in support of...

….The details of the charges against Whelan from a special court-martial that resulted in his discharge for bad conduct two years later add to an increasingly complex picture of the 48-year-old former Marine, whom Russian officials have accused of spying. His case grew more perplexing on Friday after Ireland became the fourth nation to acknowledge him as a citizen and seek consular access.

Amy Schumer‘s new movie Trainwreck draws heavily from her own life, but there’s one embarrassing incident that didn’t make it to the big screen: her arrest for grand larceny shoplifting! Schumer has previously admitted that she had sticky fingers well into her adult years. “It was just all from, like, department stores,” she told Rolling Stone last year. “I guess the impressive part was that I would return it for cash, and the most that I’d ever made was probably around $1,000. But I did it a lot.” When she was 21, however, her bad habit caught up to her,...

Mother Jones writes, "It's not easy to evict someone in California… Generally that's a good thing." But many people who read the article in which this claim appears may reach a different conclusion.Elizabeth Abel, an English professor at the University of California-Berkeley, rented her two-bedroom home to David Peritz, who teaches at Sarah Lawrence College. Abel didn't bother to ask for references or do much research on her prospective tenant, according to Mother Jones: the fact that he was an academic was essentially good enough for her.Her trust was misplaced. Peritz failed to pay rent on time, and it...

According to several reports the Hillary Clinton Campaign cheated in order to give her the win in Kentucky. In Pike County Kentucky, card readers reportedly malfunctioned and votes were fully erased. The Pike County Clerk’s office told local Kentucky station WKYT there were issues with one of their card readers which caused a delay in the numbers and as a result, the AP then erased Sanders’ votes, pushing Hillary to the lead by over 4,000 votes.

For Timothy Tyson, Moral Monday demonstrations in Raleigh followed a sort of ritual. Protesters sang hymns and listened to preachers quote the Bible and bless the volunteers who marched off to arrest. “I just looked at it and said, ‘This is kind of a church,’ ” Tyson recalls. “Our rallies had a liturgy to them like a church service.” Moral Monday, the North Carolina protest movement that comes to Charlotte on Monday afternoon, was organized to counter the policies of the Republican-controlled General Assembly. The protests, which have received national attention, are not only grounded in religion but expanding their reach...

Education activists are rallying around a homeless woman who may face jail time for enrolling her son in kindergarten under a friend's address. Supporters say the woman's story is yet another dismaying example of inequality in the U.S. education system. Tanya McDowell, a homeless single mother from Bridgeport, is charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny for signing up her 5-year-old son to attend nearby Norwalk schools under the address of a friend. (Her son went to the school for four months. Her friend has been evicted from public housing for letting McDowell use her address.) McDowell...

SNIPPET: "For all his public activity, Bray has rarely, if ever, discussed his life story in detail. His own MAS biography offers vague descriptions of his work as "a long time civil and human rights advocate." A charismatic African-American convert to Islam, Bray spent this entire decade working for Islamist organizations. Prior to joining MAS, Bray was political director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). Those jobs have helped him build a growing public profile and given him access to politicians and policy makers. And that may explain his reluctance to discuss his life before political activism. The scale of the task facing Tony Blair in his drive to help Africa was laid bare yesterday when it emerged that Nigeria's past rulers stole or misused £220 billion. That is as much as all the western aid given to Africa in almost four decades. The looting of Africa's most populous country amounted to a sum equivalent to 300 years of British aid for the continent. Former leader Gen Sani Abacha stole between £1bn and £3bn The figures, compiled by Nigeria's anti-corruption commission, provide dramatic evidence of the problems facing next month's summit in Gleneagles of the G8 group...

WEST JORDAN, Utah — A Marine who was declared a deserter days before military court proceedings stemming from an earlier disappearance from Iraq has been placed on a list of "most wanted" fugitives. A mug shot of Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun appeared this week on a Navy criminal justice Web site, which claims the missing corporal now uses the alias "Jafar." His placement on the Navy list puts him among a select group of fugitives, some of whom are being hunted on allegations of terrorism, murder, conspiracy to commit murder, indecent assault and rape.
