The Democratic National Committee and the party’s private club in the nation’s capitol have been delinquent with tax payments on sixteen separate occasions over the last seven years, Pajamas Media has learned. According to District of Columbia government records, since 2004 the Democrats’ main political committee and its National Democratic Club — an exclusive restaurant and hideaway on Capitol Hill where prominent Democrats and their guests dine — have been hit with fines and interest penalties in excess of $115,000 for failure to pay their property taxes on time.Officials at the D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue reviewed tax records...

This is a phenomena that has interested me for several election cycles – the count of ballots in the days after Election Day trend toward Republican candidates and conservative positions on issues. For some reason, which I explored in 2008 in a column attached below, the ballots that arrive after election day are more conservative than the votes received by and counted on Tuesday. It is happening again. In the closest legislative races – the ones I'm watching for signs of a GOP takeover come November – most of the struggling Democrats have seen their vote percentage erode. Sen. Chris...

Nothing sets the chattering class to chattering quite like that exotic and excitable clan, the Tea Party. Dismissed by turns as faux rabble-rousers and dangerous lunatics, this strange species of tax-loathing citizens continues to baffle and infuriate the national media and political elite -- left and right. Some evidence has recently emerged to warm the hearts of those who would like to see the Tea Party fade into irrelevancy. A June Washington Post/ABC News poll, for example, shows popular support for the Tea Party, if not collapsing, then certainly taking a hit, with 50 percent reporting an "unfavorable" view of...

A resounding question asked by many today is, “Where is America in Biblical prophecy?” The simple answer is that our nation will still exist during the Great Tribulation period, but our military power and socio-economic position will have been diminished to the level of a godless, base nation. When Christ calls His Church out of the world by means of the Rapture, our nation will implode on itself (2 Thess. 2:7). Any remnant of restraint by Conservatives will then be removed, and our demise will arise by means of civil war and lawlessness - even nuclear destruction (Rev. 6:1-8; 9:14-18)...

"Why is it that with all of our history we learn little is anything from history? CONSIDER OUR NATION! The people go from CHAINS to spiritual faith; from SPIRITUAL FAITH to courage; from COURAGE to liberty; from LIBERTY to abundance; from ABUNDANCE to selfishness; from SELFISHNESS to complacency(self satisfaction); from COMPLACENTCY to apathy (lack of interest); from APETHY to despondency; from DESPONDECY back again to BONDAGE. Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).

The H1N1 vaccine will arrive too late to help most Americans who will be infected during this flu season, according to a study conducted by scholars at Purdue University, The Washington Times reported on Tuesday. The study also estimates that the virus — commonly referred to as the swine flu bug — will infect about 60 percent of the U.S. population, although only about 25 percent of Americans will fall ill.

(IsraelNN.com) A top official in the Obama Administration has at last admitted what intelligence agents and Israeli government officials have been warning about for years: Iran intends to build a nuclear arsenal. In media interviews with American television news networks scheduled to air Sunday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said bluntly, "The Iranians have the intention of having nuclear weapons." The statement was made just days after the discovery of a covert uranian enrichment site in Iran.

Obama was supposed to appear 22 minutes ago for a statement on Health Care. A comparison was given to George W. who was always prompt. Looks like the CBO report has stymied Obowma and he's now scrambling to come up with something to say.

My wife is addicted to Starbucks so I find myself in these coffehouses more often than I would ever go in on my own. I'm truly sick of their overpriced bitter tasting coffee. Everytime I go in there, I see a plentiful supply of that nauseating left-wing ragsheet, the New York Times, as well as an abundant supply of in-house corporate literature about how diverse, PC-correct, and eco-friendly the company is. Enough to make you vomit. Thinking of starting my own chain. Call it Counter Revolution. Instead of stocking it with the New York Times, we'll have the Wall Street...

Skin test shows if you're late or early riser By Roger Highfield, Science Editor Last Updated: 10:01pm GMT 28/01/2008 A simple skin test could reveal if someone who hates getting up is lazy, or whether their body clock is badly out of step with that of other people. In recent years, scientists have found that genes can influence a person's preference for rising extremely early, when they are known as "a lark", or late in the day, "an owl". Now a simple skin test to diagnose people with these genes has been devised which, in the longer term, could help...

"...Children who turn 5 even in June or earlier are sometimes considered not ready for kindergarten these days, as parents harbor an almost Darwinian desire to ensure that their own child is not the runt of the class. Although a spate of literature in the last few years about boys’ academic difficulties helped prompt some parents to hold their sons back a year, girls, too, are being held back. Yet research on whether the extra year helps is inconclusive. Fueled by the increasingly rigorous nature of kindergarten and a generation of parents intent on giving their children every edge, the...

As a supreme symbol of Europe’s prowess in aerospace, indeed in modern technology itself, the A 380 superjumbo jet, is melting down. No longer the embodiment of European cooperation and unity, its third announced delivery delay reveals internal chaos, bickering, finger-pointing and recrimination within Airbus and its parent EADS. The whalejet, as it is known to some, has morphed from queen of the air into drama queen of the air. Over a week ago, I pointed to signs of further trouble for Airbus in meeting its delivery commitments. Yesterday, Airbus roiled the airline industry with its announcement of an indeterminate...

April 28, 2006Cornell study of ancient volcano, seeds and tree rings, suggests rewriting Late Bronze Age Mediterranean history By Alex Kwan Separated in history by 100 years, the seafaring Minoans of Crete and the mercantile Canaanites of northern Egypt and the Levant (a large area of the Middle East) at the eastern end of the Mediterranean were never considered trading partners at the start of the Late Bronze Age. Until now. Trenchmaster Vronwy Hankey and foreman Antonis Zidianakis excavate storage jars from the Minoan settlement Myrtos-Pyrgos. The jars were analyzed in the Cornell study using radiocarbon analyses. Cultural links between...
