Despite outrage from pro-choice advocates over abortion bans in some states following the Supreme Court ruling that determined the Constitution doesn't contain a right to abortion, the U.S. remains one of only eight countries that still allow abortion up to birth. The Charlotte Lozier Institute, the research arm of the pro-life advocacy group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, released a report last week titled “Gestational Limits on Abortion in the United States Compared to International Norms.” The report, an update of findings previously published in 2014, lists the U.S. as one of just eight nations that permit abortions well into...

As we start the new year, the Pennsylvania Department of Health has released their annual report on abortion and, once again, it shows more abortions, more complications from abortion, and more problems that Pennsylvania needs to correct. In 2022, there were 34,838 abortions reported in Pennsylvania, the highest number of annual abortions in the last ten years. Here are some takeaways from this latest state report: 1. Over 95 abortions every day in PA in 2022. Over the last five years, nearly 5,000 more babies have been aborted annually (2017: 30,011 | 2022: 34,838). Of note, the 2022 total is...

New York City abortionist Dr. William Rashbaum performed over 20,000 abortions in his lifetime. In one article, the magazine Mother Jones called him “one of the pre-eminent and longest-practicing providers of second-trimester abortions in the United States.” He died in early May of 2005, at the age of 78. He continued performing abortions up until the last years of his life, and his career as an abortion provider lasted over 30 years. He did them late-term, through the second trimester, aborting babies that were fully developed, with arms and legs, fingers and toes, and faces which could show human expressions....

The Washington Post “Fact Checker” has a very strange and unfactual way of reacting to Democrats telling voters and interest groups they want no restrictions on abortion. They think it’s a “lie” to say these Democrats support abortion up until birth. They gave three “Pinocchios” [mostly false] for this statement: Virtually every Democrat candidate has declared their unlimited support for extreme late-term abortion, ripping babies straight from the mother’s womb, right up until the very moment of birth.” — President Trump, at a campaign rally in Charlotte, March 2, 2020 Salvador Rizzo is doing this “fact check” on April 28,...

The pro-life position is simple and straightforward. It goes like this: It is wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being; abortion intentionally kills an innocent human being; therefore, abortion is wrong. An article in the abortion sympathizing Mary Sue claimed pro-life people who oppose late-term abortions are the ones who actually cause late term abortions because they support restrictions on earlier abortions, when many women do not even know they are pregnant. It was claimed that women who find out they are pregnant later are “forced” to seek late term abortions due to restrictive pro-life policies. Like so many...

Virginia House of Delegates member Kathy Tran has spoken out in an attempt to explain the unpopular and radical pro-abortion bill she presented to her colleagues earlier this week. The legislation, she admitted before Subcommittee Chair Todd Gilbert, would allow women to have abortions up until the stage of labor - through all 40 weeks. "I introduced a bill to repeal the medically unnecessary and duly burdensome that Virginia women face when they’re accessing this health care service in consultation with their doctor," Tran said in defense of The Repeal Act. “I was really surprised by the line of questioning...

""Third Trimester Late Term Abortion Bill Backed by Northam, Fairfax, Herring, Democratic Legislators"" Democratic leaders backed legislation repealing restrictions on third trimester late term abortions, repealing clinic health and safety standards, and eliminating informed consent requirements, among other provisions. They noted the measures were unlikely to pass in 2019, but vowed to enact them if Democrats take the Virginia House and Senate in November's elections. On Thursday in Richmond, Democratic leaders announced their support for a sweeping repeal of abortion restrictions in Virginia, including deregulation of third trimester late term abortions up until the moment of birth. The press conference,...

The House of Representatives today approved a pro-life bill that bans abortions from after 20-weeks of pregnancy up to the day of birth. The vote for the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act broke down on mostly partisan lines with Republicans supporting the ban on late-term abortions and Democrats opposing it. The House approved the bill on a 237-189 vote. Should the Senate approve the bill, President Donald Trump would sign the pro-life bill into law. “Overwhelming majorities of Americans—some 60-64% according to pollsters—support legal protection for pain-capable unborn children,” said pro-life Congressman Chris Smith. “Today we know that unborn...

Editor's Note: This column originally appeared on FoxNews.com.Editor's Note: This column originally appeared on FoxNews.com.After the third presidential debate, President Trump became the clear pro-life pick for president in 2016. Trump denounced the torturous and horrifying practice of partial-birth abortion, explaining the process with stomach-churning detail, while Hillary Clinton ‘robotically’ defended aborting the child in the ninth month. This moment was a turning point in the election. A quarter of Americans said that the debates were the ‘most important factor’ in their decision to vote. I strongly believe, as others have surmised, Trump’s pro-life commitments made the critical difference in his...

A Kansas judge ordered some of the 107 charges filed against Planned Parenthood for engaging in illegal abortions and covering up those cases thanks to the destruction of records that took place during the Sebelius administration. The case with 107 charges against Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri came about when former state attorney general Phill Kline brought the charges after obtaining evidence in patient records showing Planned Parenthood committed illegal late-term abortions and then manufactured documents to cover up their crimes. The charges allege the abortion business potentially engaged in illegal abortions and violated state record-keeping laws. Kline, as the...

In July of 1993, a 15-year old mother was brought to Women’s Health Care Services to abort her little girl in the late stages of pregnancy. In fact, so far advanced was the pregnancy that the baby was already in position for delivery. Not having yet perfected his induction method of abortion, according to accounts, Tiller “injected the baby’s head, in two places, the left side of her forehead above the eyebrow and at the base of the skull, with Potassium Chloride, leaving permanent burn marks and needle track scars.”When the young mother returned the next day for the actual abortion...

Young women and men supporting late-term abortions shouted ‘Hail Satan’ throughout the day as the Texas House and Senate convened a special session to discuss timekeeping measures following Democrat Wendy Davis’ filibuster de-railing the vote to limit abortions to 20 weeks and establishing stricter safety standards for abortion clinics. On one occasion some young women shouted ‘Hail Satan’ as Christians gave personal testimony about abortion and sang ‘Amazing Grace’.Breibart reports:‘It would be difficult to argue that the pro-abortion crowd wasn’t an “unruly mob” — last week protesters shut down proceedings by screaming from the gallery and used social media to debate...

Should Texas legislators get another bill to ban late-term abortions to the floor of the state Senate, pro-abortion lawmaker Wendy Davis says she will not filibuster the bill a second time. The bill was filed yesterday in the Texas legislature and legislators hold the first hearing on the measure today in the state House. A representative of Davis tells U.S. News and World Report that a second special session filibuster is not forthcoming.A spokesman for Democratic state Sen. Wendy Davis, who stood and spoke for more than 12 hours to help kill the bill last week, says she won’t filibuster the...

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Wearing pink tennis shoes to prepare for nearly 13 consecutive hours of standing, a Democratic Texas state senator on Tuesday began a one-woman filibuster to block a GOP-led effort that would impose stringent new abortion restrictions across the nation's second-most populous state.

Maryland does not know its teen pregnancy rate. It’s a fact that confounds Nancy Paltell, associate director for respect life at the Maryland Catholic Conference (MCC). The teen pregnancy rate is calculated by adding teen births, miscarriages and abortions, and the state does not collect abortion statistics. The statistics are also necessary for the state to assess the effectiveness of state-funded programs to reduce unwanted pregnancies or births, or identify abortion trends. Paltell addressed the issue March 20 in testimony before the Senate Finance committee. The committee heard arguments on three abortion-related bills – one to require abortion statistic reporting;...

LOS ANGELES — “Law & Order,” the long-running NBC series about crime and punishment, rarely shies away from inflammatory topics, and Friday night it takes on one of the most contentious — abortion — for just the third time in the program’s 20 seasons. In the show’s customary ripped-from-the-headlines style, the new episode focuses on the murder, in a church, of a doctor who performs late-term abortions. Though the episode, which will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time, begins with the disclaimer that the story “is fictional and does not depict any actual person or event,” its...

A headline you will not read in the mainstream media is "Dr. Death Meets Death" – however, that describes the end of Dr. George Tiller's life precisely. His murder is tragic in a number of ways, beginning with a life created by God that was misspent on the destruction of life. The blood on his hands cried out for justice that could only lawfully be applied through civil authorities and only mitigated eternally through Another's blood shed for his sins. Neither of those was accomplished for Tiller. The first element of this tragedy is that unlike serial killers who "unlawfully"...

AUGUSTA, Ga. - A 22-year-old woman fatally stabbed her two young children in a convenience store bathroom Thursday, police said. A worker at Food Mart told police she saw Jeanette Michelle Hawes enter the restroom Thursday afternoon with the two children, a boy and girl, and then heard a scream, Richmond County Sheriff Ronnie Strength said. The worker called 911, and when deputies arrived they forced the door open and found Hawes on the floor, holding a steak knife and covered in the children's blood, Strength said.

There is something terrible going on in Kansas, and you should know about it. A doctor named George Tiller is performing hundreds, perhaps thousands, of late-term abortions using a variety of medical reasons, including a mother's depression. In Kansas, there is a mental health exception that allows an abortionist to terminate a fetus at any time up until birth. The exception is vague, and so is Tiller's oft-used depression diagnosis, according to documents currently under investigation by Kansas authorities. So the deal is this: If you want to walk away from your pregnancy at any time, just contact Dr. Tiller;...

QUEBEC - The province hopes to have a doctor in place next year that will offer late-term abortions to women six months pregnant and beyond, Quebec health officials announced Friday. Canadian women now travel to Colorado, Kansas and Washington to obtain these abortions because no Canadian doctor will perform them, including Dr. Henry Morgentaler, who says he has ethical problems performing 24-week pregnancies. But despite his personal views, Morgentaler doesn't believe new rules on late-term abortions are needed because most abortions take place between six and nine weeks of pregnancy. The government's decision on late-term abortion was defended by Quebec...
