Instead, election integrity was preserved with federal investigations to prevent nonexistent seditious activity emanating from dubious white militias. A report from July of 2019 indicates Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell received thousands of dollars in donations from lobbyists for two of the largest electronic voting machine vendors in the United States – Election Systems & Software and Dominion Voting Systems. Police are looking for the man who fired a rifle on Metra’s McCormick Place platform and then fled from the station Tuesday morning. The man stepped off of a northbound Metra Electric train at the station around 10:20 a.m. and placed a duffle bag on the platform, according to a spokesperson for the train system. The gunman, who was alone on the platform, then took a rifle out of the bag and fired one round to the west, then put the weapon back into his bag and left the station, the spokesperson said. Layoffs were taking place on Thursday at ABC News as part of a restructuring and job cuts across The Walt Disney Co. The layoffs were in the “low single digit” percentage of the workforce and were across the news division, according to a source with knowledge of the matter. The news division has about 1,400 employees. Other network news divisions also have laid off employees over the past year, including NBC News, CBS News and Fox News.
