Anti-gun rights activist David Hogg often urges young people to take on the Second Amendment. But he’s picked up a few more topics to pontificate on recently. In his latest talk Wednesday to students at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, with the midterm elections just weeks away, Hogg defended illegal immigrants, decried white politicians, and bemoaned American imperialism.

There’s a simple rule in running for Congress in Miami: Don’t campaign with someone who praised Fidel Castro and fought sanctions against Venezuela’s dictatorial regime. But Donna Shalala didn’t figure it out until it was too late. In a district filled with Castro-hating Cuban-Americans and Venezuelan exiles, Shalala’s campaign committed an egregious gaffe — and set off a round of Democratic finger-pointing — by posting an announcement that she would hold a campaign event Wednesday with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Californian, Rep. Barbara Lee.

A member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party was suspended after saying Republicans should be brought “to the guillotines” after the November midterm elections. William Davis, who is the spokesman for the party in Minnesota, commented in a Facebook post: “11.7 — bring them to the guillotines.” Party executive director Corey Day said Davis deleted the post and party spokeswoman Charlene Briner said Davis’s suspension started Monday with no pay for one week, according to The Associated Press. “The comment made by William Davis on social media this weekend was unacceptable. The DFL offers its apologies and assurance that these types...

Next month marks the 40th anniversary of two landmark events of American popular culture: the assassination of pioneering gay politician Harvey Milk, and the mass suicide of 900 members of the Peoples Temple cult. If you remember anything about the mass suicide, it’s probably that cult leader Jim Jones was a fundamentalist Christian demon whose Bible-thumping berated brainwashed followers into drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid. Harvey Milk, by contrast, is a folk hero. The San Francisco supervisor became a gay-rights saint because he was martyred by a right-wing fanatic. That’s the received history in both cases. But according to author Daniel Flynn,...

Been working on a response for a Quora query, You are a devout Bible-fundamental Jesus believer. Or devout Catholic or Mormon. Why do you and your religious principles support and defend President Trump? Otherwise, why wouldn't you? I only worked on what the alternative to Trump would mean so far. Any suggestions for this? "Devout Bible-fundamental Jesus believer" best fits evangelicals, and even considering the alternative from that overall perspective should suffice for now, as illustrated by this (imperfect) analogy: You are at a port along with many other people, trying to continue on a long journey to get to...

Motto: No one is allowed to be unhappy in the Brave New World. People who are unhappy are shot. It is Paradise. Brian Amerige is a Facebook engineer who is well known in big-tech circles after he wrote a memo attacking the company’s so-called “political monoculture”. That’s a nice choice of words for a leftist hive oozing group think, political correctness and social justice, but let that go. Basically, Brian Amerige is the Facebook equivalent of James Damore, the software engineer who used to work at Google until he wrote an internal memo decrying the company’s identity politics obsession, which...

“Your daughter’s 14, huh?” asked the guy at the wedding reception. “I guess you’re heading for the Grandma Danger Zone.” I wasn’t offended exactly (it was a party, after all, and most of us were drunk and speaking freely), but I was a bit surprised by the casualness with which a relative stranger commented on my child’s theoretical sexual activity. Trying to move the conversation along, I chuckled politely and replied, “Well, if she did get pregnant now, I would help her get an abortion, so that won’t be an issue.” There was a long silence as this man and...

San Francisco might be the one of the most expensive place to live in the world but it has recently acquired a new, slightly less esteemed honor - the feces capital of America. A new study by the real estate listing website RealtyHop declares the California tech-hub to be the worst place in the US for 'poop sightings', with ten times as many as New York and 20 times more than Chicago in 2017. According to the study compiled from publicly available 311 data, there were 21,000 incidents of feces complaints last year, which is an average of 456 per...

Taylor Swift has spoken out politically for the first time, publicly endorsing two Democrats for the upcoming US mid-term elections. The 28-year-old says events in "the past two years" have meant she's no longer reluctant to share her views. The singer wrote on Instagram: "I always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve." The elections are on 6 November. https://www.instagram.com/p/BopoXpYnCes/?utm_source=ig_embed Taylor, who in June gave a speech in Chicago offering "love and respect" to LGBT people who haven't yet come out, will be voting in historically...

We’re starting to see some angry at the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh calling for female performers to take a knee when singing the national anthem. Here’s actress Molly Ringwald, for example: But that would be a big mistake warns Talbert Swan. Here he is warning “white women” that taking a knee “is hijacking a movement you took no risks for”:

Just got back from a production meeting at a certain "mousey" studio which took a few hours. Started at before 1 pm, and I sorta knew the schedule when Judge K was gonna the votes around 2 PM PT.. 30 people in the room, all entertainment people. One of them says "let's turn on the Tv and find out if Kavanaugh gets the vote". A few of us (me included) said no, let's finish this meeting so we can go home. I was pretending not to care as that's my cover here. Watching the votes go on C Span, the...

The folks behind the Women’s March did not respond well to Sen. Collins’ announcement that she would vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh this afternoon. Linda Sarsour, one of the founders of the group, tweeted this: Senator Susan Collins is the mother & grandmother of white women in America who gave us a Donald Trump presidency. The 53%. She is a disgrace & her legacy will be that she was a traitor to women and marginalized communities. History will not treat her kindly. #CancelKanavaugh 3:44 PM - Oct 5, 2018

If you are sick and tired of the Kavanaugh nomination for SCOTUS extravaganza, here’s an interesting piece of news that went under the mainstream media’s radar. A weirdly dressed and even weirder-acting soy-boy hit a pro life woman activist in the face for absolutely no reason. This is the tolerant left in action. How did this happen? The answer is pretty easy for anyone who understands where the word libtard comes from: the left cannot win in the realm of arguments and ideas. They’ve already lost the debate when the USSR collapsed back in 1991. Socialism/communism doesn’t work. Period. Full...

The UN-AMERICAN, ANTI-CONSTITUTION LEFT vs. KAVANAUGH: The Underlying Evil of Desperate Smears by Democracy's Losers In my book, Equal Justice for Victims, p. 44, I wrote: Like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I have a dream. My dream is that one day the United States will elect a president who dares to explain to the American people that, on controversial questions, the Supreme Court is a political and not a legal institution; and that justices practice their politics by pretending to "interpret" and apply the law and the Constitution. In a nutshell, this explains what is going on with the...

Rosenstein Meeting To Watch Kavanaugh... Shined up with tweets about dating Donald Trump, fourth-wall-cracking quips and Roseanne implosion asides, the revival of Murphy Brown is very meta. Yet despite those lofty lunges, the CBS sitcom still led by Candice Bergen just can’t grasp the big-picture reality of 2018. To put it another way, FYI, if you really don’t want to “tarnish” your legacy, to quote Bergen’s now-unretired TV journalist Brown in the first episode of this de facto 11th season, then hit the reset button on this revival ASAP before irrelevance comes knocking.

Even before President Trump’s election, hatred had begun to emerge on the American left—counterintuitively, as an assertion of guilelessness and moral superiority. At the Women’s March in Washington the weekend after Mr. Trump’s inauguration, the pop star Madonna said, “I have thought an awful lot of blowing up the White House.” Here hatred was a vanity, a braggadocio meant to signal her innocence of the sort of evil that, in her mind, the White House represented. (She later said the comment was “taken wildly out of context.”) For many on the left a hateful anti-Americanism has become a self-congratulatory lifestyle....

U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison pushed back Friday against allegations of domestic abuse, saying his accuser fabricated the story about him. The Minnesota Democrat also dismissed a medical record that named him as the abuser, but said he can’t be sure more people won’t “cook up” allegations against him.

Winners like Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan, Seven Seconds’ Regina King, Barry’s Henry Winkler, Westworld’s Thandie Newton, The Americans‘ Mathew Rhys, The Crown’s Claire Foy and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’s Darren Criss may be making shelf space for their new trophies after celebrating last night but for NBC, the 70th Primetime Emmys maybe a hangover that’s hard to shake.

As many have said about socialism, the issue is that you eventually run out of other people’s money. Socialist and rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is bound for Congress on an agenda that will cost trillions. $40+ trillion in the first decade alone for her left wing goodies of free college and single-payer health care, those are the two big items. In three decades, the price tag for American democratic socialism will hit $218 trillion. But remember, socialists, like the pigs in Animal Farm, they don’t have to sacrifice a thing. Is Ocasio-Cortez more of a limousine liberal than a...

The Washington Times is reporting that Julia Salazar, the democratic socialist who had seemed to have lied about her ethnicity, her academic credentials, and more, has beaten incumbent Sen. Martin Dilan. Seems New York City can’t get enough of those democratic socialists.
