The Supreme Court has no excuse for allowing Nevada officials to use a public health crisis to fill poker tables while emptying pews. All four gospels record that the Roman soldiers who crucified Jesus cast lots for his clothing. This was not the last time government agents were more interested in gambling than God. The latest instance is in Nevada, where the state government has granted casinos special privileges denied to churches. Casinos are allowed to operate at half-capacity, while churches are restricted to a hard cap of 50 people, no matter their capacity. When this double standard was challenged in...

After finding 40 churches connected to around 650 cases of the coronavirus, The New York Times is calling Sunday worship services “a major source” of COVID-19 cases. “The virus has infiltrated Sunday sermons, meetings of ministers and Christian youth camps in Colorado and Missouri,” reads the Times piece. “It has struck churches that reopened cautiously with face masks and social distancing in the pews, as well as some that defied lockdowns and refused to heed new limits on numbers of worshipers.” The story does, of course, link to legitimate cases — like Calvary Chapel in San Antonio, where around 50...

Police are investigating the vandalism of Mission San Jose in Fremont, California as a hate crime. In a July 4 statement, police confirmed that someone painted “Native Land” in red paint on the mission during the night. “The Fremont Police Department takes these matters seriously and will dedicate appropriate resources to this investigation. Fremont does not tolerate hate and will ask the Alameda County District Attorney to fully prosecute those who are found responsible for this crime,” the statement said. Several volunteers spent their July 4 holiday cleaning up the vandalism, according to The Mercury News. “This is a Catholic...

On a very different Fourth of July, when many Americans are wrestling with the racist misdeeds of the country's heroes and confronting an unrelenting pandemic with surging cases, their commander-in-chief is attempting to drag America backward -- stirring fear of cultural change while flouting the most basic scientific evidence about disease transmission. In a jaw-dropping speech that amounted to a culture war bonfire, President Trump used the backdrop of Mount Rushmore to frame protesters as a nefarious left-wing mob that intends to "end America." Those opponents, he argued, are engaged in a "merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame...

The headline to this article is not sensationalistic. It is not click bait. It is truth. Shocking truth. Yes, Instagram has designated videos of live worship on the streets to be in violation of community guidelines, calling the content “harmful.†Let the outrage be felt and heard. Sean Feucht is a worship leader and songwriter who recently ran for political office in California. He is also a conservative Christian. On June 23 he tweeted, “This is what we’ve come to in America!“Instagram is now classifying my WORSHIP videos as ‘harmful or false information’“Religious Liberty? Freedom of Speech? Big Tech censorship?â€Included in...

A church that served the local community for years found its lease canceled this week. Had the pastor been accused of sexually assaulting someone or embezzling funds? Had the church preached a message of true hate or intolerance? No, the city revoked the church’s lease because the pastor had committed the heinous sin of “liking†tweets exposing Democrat hypocrisy. Among others, he had “liked†a tweet daring to criticize His Holiness Barack Obama for golfing when his wife, Michelle, urged members of the black community to stay home to stop the spread of the coronavirus (yes, this happened). There was...

[Barf Alert] Most Holy Redeemer hosts LGBT stations of the cross Stop at Harvey Milk home "We salute... gender-queer people who are devalued by both Church and society.” (Photo from Most Holy Redeemer Instagram) During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lock-down, which caused the nationwide closing of churches and the cancellation of the Holy Mass, two separate Roman Catholic parishes, on different sides of the country, offered “queer” Stations of the Cross via social media. Most Holy Redeemer (MHR), located in the Castro District of San Francisco, and St. Paul the Apostle in New York City, both posted videos to...

A video shows a white couple bending down and kissing the boots of black power group members to apologize for slavery. The eight-minute clip appears to have been filmed in First Citizens Plaza in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was uploaded to the YouTube page of the Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge, a radical faction of the black nationalist Black Hebrew Israelite movement, under the title: “WHEN HEATHENS #RECOGNIZE TRUE #PROPHETS OF #GOD.” Two people who had expressed an affinity with the group were responsible for the December 2019 attack on a JC Kosher Supermarket in Jersey City, New Jersey...

Why do so-called ‘scientifically enlightened’ progressive liberals ridicule and shame prayer? The answer lies in their view of reality.

As New York City becomes the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in the United States, the city is going into lockdown. Frontline healthcare workers are preparing for shortages of beds and equipment, and the USNS Comfort, a massive hospital ship, has arrived to help deal with the influx of patients. Samaritan's Purse, a Christian humanitarian organization that, among other things, brings medical professionals and supplies to war zones and disaster hotspots around the world, has set up a 68-bed field hospital in Central Park with 60 to 70 medical staff to treat coronavirus patients. The arrival of Samaritan's Purse was...

Just hours before San Francisco Mayor London Breed issued a citywide ban on all events with 1,000 attendees or more, Hunky Jesus hopefuls were sadly setting aside their loin cloths and crowns of thorns. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are postponing their 41st annual Easter celebration in Dolores Park as a result of the current threat of coronavirus.

Let’s all ask @NBCUniversal if they agree with Vox that Christians are cult members. NBC is a major investor in Vox. It’s time to start contacting NBC leadership and executives about the bigotry against Christians being spread by Vox.

As we head into the Christmas season, religious liberty in America continues to be under attack, and it’s not just about whether people can say “Merry Christmas” in public places. With the recent controversy over Chick-fil-A bowing to pressure to end its financial support of charities the far left has labeled as “anti-gay,” organizations that dare to hold onto certain deeply held religious beliefs will likely be punished for it. I have served on the national boards of the two charities that Chick-fil-A will no longer be supporting, the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Both charities...

Chick-fil-A, the controversial American fast food brand, famous as much for its donations to anti-LGBTQ organisations as it is for fried chicken sandwiches, is being forced to close its first U.K. restaurant. It opened only eight days ago.

A US fast-food chain will cease trading at its first UK outlet amid a row over donations to anti-LGBT groups. Gay rights campaigners called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A, which opened its first branch at The Oracle shopping centre in Reading on 10 October. A spokeswoman for the centre said "the right thing to do" was to not extend the restaurant's lease beyond the "six-month pilot period". Chick-fil-A said its donations were purely focused on youth and education. The family-owned company, founded in Atlanta in 1967, is one of the biggest fast-food chains in the USA and boasts about 2,400...

In between the first and second hour of the Democratic Party’s presidential debate in Ohio was a brief commercial from the Freedom From Religion Foundation calling for watchers to remember that secularism was a founding father plan for America’s government from the get-go and that those who say differently are, well — uninformed. Come on in guys, the fire’s warm. Ronald Prescott Reagan — the son of the late, great President Ronald Reagan — actually made the pitch for FFRF on national TV, wrapping with this mocking line: “I’m a lifelong atheist, I’m not afraid of burning in hell.” Yikes....

Philip de Grey-Warter has resigned from the Church of EnglandThere are concerns in a Cornish town that a new church, which meets for the first time next week, is “extremist” and “homophobic”. The Vicar of Fowey has resigned in order to start a new Anglican church in the town, under the auspices of an organisation which has been dubbed right wing. The Rev Philip de Grey-Warter has resigned as Vicar of Fowey and Priest-in-Charge of Golant after 17 years to “plant” a new church community, Anchor, under the auspices of GAFCON, a controversial global movement of conservative Anglican clergy. Mr...

San Diego MassResistance parents who were protesting a horrid “Drag Queen Story Hour” at the library strongly stood up to a rabid crowd of LGBT activists who came to intimidate and harass them with anti-Christian bigotry. In fact, the LGBT activists were clearly surprised and disheartened that the parents were ready for them.

The brother of a murder victim shocked a courtroom on Wednesday as he offered an overtly religious act of forgiveness, urging the killer to turn to Jesus Christ. But you wouldn’t know that from the network morning show coverage on Thursday. Today, Good Morning America and CBS This Morning skipped the appeal to faith, instead portraying it as more generalized forgiveness. Later in the day, View co-host Joy Behar rejected the call to grace and instead insisted, “I think to hold onto the rage gives you strength.” Amber Guyger shot Botham Jean in 2018 when she accidentally entered his apartment,...
