A teenager who was shot by a Marigny homeowner during an apparent attempted burglary last summer was arrested Friday afternoon for entering a residence just blocks away from the previous incident, according to a law enforcement source. The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, identified Marshall Coulter, 15, as the person arrested in Friday’s incident. A robber with a shotgun killed a New Orleans man in the Faubourg Marigny early Sunday, New Orleans police said. Michael Frey, 28, was walking with another man in the 2100 block of Chartres Street about 5 a.m. when an armed man approached and demanded money, police spokeswoman Jonette Williams said. As Frey and the other man handed over their money, the gunman shot Frey in the chest. The robber fled with the money, and Frey died at the scene, between Elysian Fields Avenue and Frenchmen Street.
